$31 for wing dings. Not meaty wings, wing dings

Took my last trip to Brady's today. Never again. My son and I got 6 (small) wings a piece and ended up to be $31 for 12 small wings. That's crazy!!! I get market price but come on now this is not crab legs. Seriously $31 for 12 wings. We along with the high school football and baseball teams taking our business back to Mt Chalet.

The Reuben was delicious and waffle fries were spot on! We are definitely coming back for this meal

Joyce was waiting on us tonight, seemed nice enough. We asked for a minute to order. She took off. She was taking her time to come back, seemed like 8+ minutes, she took the dessert order for the table behind us but didn't bother to take our food order. She went by us two more times, didn't take our order. She's been in the kitchen for almost 5 minutes. Our menus have on the booth seat behind us too. I flagged down a manager to get us our bill for our water, he said something to Joyce and then she finally came over. She must have been too busy to with the large table to care. I was too hungry and crabby to wait. No nachos, no waffle or Parmesan truffle fries and no key lime pie and no lava cake for us.

This bar/restaurant is in a strip mall and my perception was that it was small, but it is fairly spacious inside. We were led to the back room and seated. Our waitress greeted us pleasantly. I asked for a beer menu and she listed the draft beers from memory. We each ordered an Octoberfest. She brought those out and took our appetizer order. We got a reuben egg roll. When she brought the appetizer, she took our entree order. Be prepared, it is just one egg roll, on top of some french fries, and we split it. Delicious! We would have loved 2 in the order, but the flavors were perfect. She returned and cleared those plates and said our food would be right up, and asked me if I'd like my salad chopped, which I agreed. I ordered a Maurice Salad, and chopped was definitely the way to go. It was almost as good as I recall at Macy's Lakeshore. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich, which was so big he ate it with a fork and knife. Perfect for him! They are doing a great job of social distancing, with tables, closed and cute decorations on those closed tables.

My girlfriend and I came in because the sushi place next door was closed. So we made an impromptu decision to go for the tavern. Not the best decision. She ordered a turkey burger and fries. Her fries were cold and her burger wasn't too far behind. I ordered Brady's Garbage salad. It was good and bad. For one they used iceberg lettuce for the bulk of the salad (who still uses iceberg?!?). The second issue was that there was more salad toppers than actual greens! I had to ask for an additional small bowl of just lettuce. Thirdly the sweet and sour dressing that came with it was totally gross! All the toppings were very flavorful and worked well together which was the good part. The best part of our visit was our cocktails and the cheese curds! Oh and our wonderful server. I don't remember her name. Because I'm horrible with names.

I still stand by my review. I have never had a bad experience at Brady's it has been a while since I have been here. I miss coming here for lunch before the covid hit. I have to say that my two go-to appetizers are the clam strips and the chicken quesadilla. Both are phenomenal. I used to come here for lunch but covid they are not here for lunch. :(

    Restaurant promotion

I went there with my mom today because they sent her a promotion via text. She would "eat free," and get a "$24 food credit" if she eats with others. She ordered chicken tenders and French fries (~$17) and I ordered chili (~$7). We also both had drinks which brought the total to around $41. The waiter however told us the offer wouldn't apply. He said the manager told him because we didn't order entrees, the promotion didn't apply. When we spoke to the manager, she was not very pleasant about the whole thing and said "well we can't give away free food." The issue is, the promotion said nothing about entrees. It just said a "food credit" and "moms eat free." She reluctantly took the bill back, and only took the tenders off, not the fries, which was nowhere near the $24 credit promised. Definitely think if you're having a promotion, you should be either more specific or nicer if someone points out that the promotion is confusing.

Today's menu, I should say specials.

Last year, Bradys had to close due to Covid, and there was a little celebrating tied to Saint Patrick's day. We're approaching it a little differently this year, and my wife and I decided to do an early lunch at Bradys. We were one of a couple tables occupied in the entire bar, except for the couple in the photo I posted. They thought this through, and it made for a very light and fun experience. The food for the occasion was excellent, my wife having a corn beef sandwich and I had the shepherds pie. We also tried the Ruben eggrolls which may have been my favorite. Of course don't have any of that without a Guinness, because that really made it all work. Happy St Paddy's day.

My matcha latte was pretty mid -- not a coffee shop so I wouldn't necessarily expect anything incredible but it could have been hotter, at least. The frittata was very good and a generous portion -- I took part of it home for later. The pistachio pesto sauce really adds to it. I'd return to try more of their brunch menu (or others) without complaint -- why not!?

I do want to start with some thoughts before I give the highlights. We were charged a percent for using a credit card. I cannot speak to the in-person menu, but I combed the online menu and it did not mention that. We were also charged for ranch. Most places do not do that, and we were not informed there would be an upcharge. Most places allow you a sauce to go with fries. Also, for my meal, there is an image of an extra sauce which it did not come with, but we were charged for two small portions of ranch. Last, the server was just okay. I always enthusiastically ask questions to get to know more about a place. I asked if they had any other fruity drinks. She pointed to the drink menu and indicated just the Paloma. I said, but you have a full bar, this is the only fruity drink you make? She did not want to ask the bar, but I asked her to. The bar apparently only came up with one other drink idea, which I ended up getting two drinks listed on the menu (both very good) but it seemed like work for her to go out of her way to inquire. I also bet they could have made many fruity drinks, like maybe a Mai Tai, or some equivalent. Oh well. On the other hand, the Paloma was actually very good. It was a quality Paloma and I do recommend. Their other drink was seasonal with lavender, also a very nice drink. Most of the other places, like Honcho, I have no problem with getting a variety of drinks or inquiring about them, and the bar tender here did a great job. I came here because I was targeted by an ad on Instagram. This place was not on my radar, but since they created a meal (Steak-frites) very similar to Le Relais in Paris and New York, etc... I wanted to try it. It came with bottomless parm fries. The fries were crispy, savory, and delightful. The steak was super well cooked and was like butter. You did not even need a knife, it cut with a fork. Since I love next day leftovers, the steak was still super delicious and tender the next day. It was still like butter and cut with a fork. I would absolutely come back for that and bring the rest of my family. We also tried the tri-tip sandwich. We were told the bread was made fresh. I thought it was very good and very tender. My husband would have liked an au jus or horseradish sauce. He would try the hamburger next, but I would love another steak-frites, like right now! We were sad the coffee and pastry section closed early. In the past, at Honcho, we would get coffee and pastry after dinner since their coffee tends to be really good and quality. I would consider coming for brunch to try some. We talked to a gentleman who was part of the business as he was working hard. He was very kind and knowledgeable and took the time to hear our thoughts. I told him I was here for the steak. He thought I had a "but". I did not, it was great and I hope they can maintain that price point and the second serving of fries, because that was my main reason for visiting. He let us know the menu recently changed. I am not able to compare since this was my first time, but I liked that they had a steak dinner and pizza. If we come back my oldest loves this group's pizza, she gets it at Vinsetta, and this one looked very good.

The…read morequality and consistency are great, though I honestly think the meat would shine even more as a traditional 1/4 or 1/2 pound patty rather than a smash burger. A thicker cut would really let you taste the high-quality flavor of the beef. If you're going to order, here are a few pro tips: Get the sauce on the side: It's an excellent sauce, but you are much better off dipping. Otherwise, the burger will totally get drenched and lose the meat flavor profile. The bacon situation: They smash little bits of bacon directly into the patty. You can barely taste it this way, and it would be significantly better just served as traditional strips on top. So I would prob get it without next time. The Tallow Fries: These have huge potential, but unfortunately, mine arrived pretty soggy via delivery. I should have thrown them in the air fryer to crisp them back up, as I know they would be amazing fresh out of the fryer dripping in tallow. And they would have worked much better as larger almost steak cut fries to let the tallow flavor shine more. However as i ate them, i would still choose cajun 5 guys fries well done over them. My order for a burger and fries came to almost $40 (including tip) through their delivery service. Is it worth that price point for a delivery order? Probably not. However, the core ingredients are so good that I definitely plan to visit the restaurant in person so I can experience the food fresh and at its best.

Today it was on the hard ciabatta roll. The turkey was just slices slapped on the bread when it used to be kind of shredded. There was no spicy giardenera.. The brie was just some sort of melted brie slices when before it was a brie fondue sauce. I wanted to cry. This is the quickest way to lose customers.. changing what's tried and true

I ordered the Rachel, but unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. The pastrami was way too dry and honestly tasted much more like corned beef than true pastrami. On top of that, the Gruyère cheese didn't complement the meat well at all, leaving the overall composition of the sandwich feeling just okay.
