I usually get Bora Bora braids because I love the look of having curls/sewin and the ease of braids at the scalp. The price and drive is well worth the results. I love my hair everytime and get so many compliments. This style lasts months at least 3, and a touch up service is also offered to refresh the braids and stretch them another few months. I had beautiful maintained braids for a total of 6 months. I swam with the hair, washed it and lived everyday in it and it bounced back every time! I look forward to this hair style every time I get it! I also love this new location. It is spacious, there is less traffic to get there, and there is parking right in front. I recommend making an appointment using the website. You can dm their Instagram just be patient as they are busy doing hair but will respond to your message in a timely manner. It hasn't been a full two weeks and one of my twists has already fallen out (just 10 minutes ago)! There are also several twists that have unraveled. They did an excellent job; even though the person who was supposed to do my hair had picked out very bad hair. They still used it anyway. I was very grateful. They were very very kind and gentle. They did an outstanding job! The braids were beautiful and on point, I got Boho braids. I'm tender headed, so I was prepared to hurt, but they did not braid my brain. My head was sore, but I didn't get a headache. Again, though I'm tender headed. The braids were on point as they should be without being too tight.

Laderica was prepared with the hair laid out and we started on time. While doing my hair with the style that I requested, she informed me that because my hair is super straight (from a relaxer) it wasn't curling with the Spring twists. Laderica's a main concern was that I was happy with the outcome of my hair. She was about 3/4 of the way done and she just wasn't happy with how it the mapping twists were looking on me. She then showed me how the Butterfly lock would look and asked if I would like to switch to that style to get the best outcome and most protection for my hair. I was so impressed with her sincere desire to make me happy. Once my hair was done I was very happy with the butterfly locks. I will be a long term customer and highly recommend Braid Junkie.

We weren't called until 12:10, and while I asked that my daughter be started on first (which they did), I was left waiting even longer. When my stylist finally brought me to the shampoo bowl, she apologized, explaining that another client had shown up 30 minutes late. I couldn't understand why management would allow a tardy client to disrupt scheduled appointments. My stylist, Crystal, was very kind and professional. We even talked about how important it was for my hair to last since we had an event in Greenville at 3:00 pm. I specifically asked for hairspray at the end to hold the curls. Unfortunately, by the time we reached our hotel around 2:00 pm, my hair was completely limp with no hold. The style barely lasted an hour, which defeats the purpose of a blowout. While my stylist did her best, the overall management of this location was disappointing. Allowing late clients to interfere with scheduled appointments, giving preferential treatment to guests who arrived after us, and requiring stylists to handle cleaning duties instead of focusing on clients all contribute to a poor customer experience. For context, I've been to Drybar and other blowout salons multiple times and have never had my style fall apart so quickly. I also typically receive a wash, cut, and blowout in under an hour--yet here, the timing felt unnecessarily prolonged, as if designed to increase charges. To be clear, this review is not a reflection on my stylist or my daughter's stylist--both were pleasant and received a 20% tip from me. My concerns are directed at the management and overall business model of this establishment. I was not sure what to expect and I have extremely long, thick hair, but Michelle did an absolutely amazing job! It turned out better than I could have imagined, and I am extremely happy with the results. They also had a laptop tray that I was able to use to get some work done while getting my hair done. Outstanding touch on the service! The place was also decorated so cute for Easter, which was a cute touch. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Rockwall.
