Had called previously to ask how much it would be to remove a broken lug nut; the guy on the phone said $20. When I went there a month later, the manager tells me $120 to remove the lug nut. This is a rip off! The idiot thinks that I don't know anything about cars, well I have rebuilt an engine before. I just do not have the right tool to remove the broken lug! read more

Got ripped off and just an awful experience from beginning to end. I had to get my car towed to the dealership since they sprayed anti squeak pink spray all over my rotors and pads to the point they got stuck together and it broke my lower control arm when trying to go forward. Service. Quality service. I've been sitting in front of the first garage door for 7 minutes and counting and have yet to be acknowledged. The one employee I see has made eye contact three times and he has yet to stop mopping, wrapping a cord on the wall, pulling upholstery from atop an Altima and pulling a trash can. After 9 minutes, the man who pulled up after me and walked around the bay decided to approach. He asked "Do you need help?" Why else would I pull up to an automotive repair place if I didn't need help? Because he was wearing street clothes and no name tag, I asked who he was. He identified himself as Adrian and said he was the manager. It gets worse....He then proceeds to say, "Everybody knows you park and walk into the office". I disagreed and he doubled down on his ignorance! "Yes, everyone does know!" Never again. They may be superstars in the brake industry but as for customer service? PISS POOR. I've never had worse customer service in my life. I would never have expected to be spoken to this way by someone at their place of work. I was on the freeway when we noticed my front right wheel had gone flat. We were lucky enough to be close to an exit, and we came by this place called Brake Masters. We parked in the parking lot and noticed the tire had lost even more air than when we noticed it on the side of the road. We waited in the office for a bit and decided to go outside to ask for help. We knew this place specializes in brakes however, the man in the office did explain that they were able to provide us service, saying they could replace it for 20 dollars. So we have a deal, and they take my keys and get straight to work. However, this was when things took a turn. A little later on another worker comes out and tells the man that was working on my truck to stop what he's doing and tells us that they don't do brakes. Now we understand this is a place that fixes and provides brakes. But we were told they could help with the tire, AND started to work on it. So here we are in the parking lot with a truck that was in the middle of being worked on, just abandoned. (Unacceptable already) So we try to figure out for ourselves how we are going to replace our tire because we have a spare. We tell the worker nicely that if you cannot help us, we are just going to figure it out here on the parking lot. Simple right? No. This is when that worker starts to get unprofessionally aggressive with us. He says we cannot work on the car in their parking lot and tells us to leave. (Mind you, no one else is here. This parking lot was empty, and we were not in the way of anyone). We then ask, "How are we going to move the truck? The tire is FLAT"? He then threatens to have our truck towed from their lot, and we tell him to just tow us then because we can't move the car. Then he starts to raise his voice and yells at us instead of trying to help. When we get back in the truck to drive to a different place, he takes a picture of my license plate and calls the police on us. We then ask if he needs us to stay for the police to get there, so they don't make a false claim about the situation. However, the man does not answer the question and just ignores us. Nobody else there tries to calm this man down or anything, they just go silent. I even asked one of the workers, "Can you help us out here"? He just shakes his head no, but you can tell he'd rather not step in. So we drove away, not knowing what they might have said to the police. They left my truck abandoned, which was super unprofessional. We had to drive to a place called Ramona Tires, which luckily was very close by. Ramona Tires was incredibly helpful. I would also like to include that because they made us drive away with a flat tire. My rim even got scratched from the floor because of the flat tire. I hope no one has to deal with the man that we had to deal with over at Brake Masters. I wish I had gotten his name so I could report him to his boss, because he was incredibly rude and unprofessional. read more

I have been coming here for a few years and am always happy with their service. I used to take my car to the dealership but they are WAY overpriced! Brake masters does everything the dealership does and its so much more affordable! I got a list of recommendations from the dealership and took that list right on over to brake masters. Not only did they complete the list, but they went above and beyond and let me know while my suspensions arent completely shot, it would be best to change them out. (I have a 2016 mazda6 with over 120k miles and never serviced my suspensions ) so i did what they suggested and im so happy! My car runs so smooth! They provide warranties for their brakes (and other parts) which is such a valuable thing to have. Overall im very happy with my service! He even changed out my air filters for free! I brought my car in to get my a/c fixed they told me it would be $219 I paid it no problem, when the car was done they told me no leaks that they could find, so I took the car home and my a/c was still blowing HOT!! They did not fix it! So I took the car back immediately and they told me that they could not fix the a/c, and to take the car to the dealer. They did send me a check for my money back after saying they could not fix my car. Days after getting my brake service my car was making strange sounds and rattling when I got the freeway. Well, on that very same freeway excursion the sounds got LOUD and the rattling INTENSE - low and behold one of the wheels that was removed for the brake service COMES OFF OF MY VEHICLE....ON THE FREEWAY! I cant tell you how terrifying that experience was, much of it has been blocked out of my memory. Naturally this lead to EXTENSIVE damage to the front of my car, an expensive insurance claim, and even now however many years later - my car just isn't the same. I was referred here by the tire shop I visited for a flat repair in which they had stripped the lug bolt and it had gone inside. After the tire shop, replaced my rear passenger tire I drove to brake masters but on my way the bolt that had fell inside seized my rear tire up and I was basically screeching my tire along so I pulled over and called for a tow. Once my vehicle got to the shop, they informed me that I may have trouble with my front control arms and they showed me what they saw as my vehicle was coming off the flatbed and so I had them tell me cost and gave them the okay to replace them. They uber me home after signing paperwork and about a hour or so later, they asked if I wanted to have my struts replaced since they were in the area so I said sure since I knew they were original and since buying the car I probably put 100,000 miles on it driving. They eventually called me to tell me the car was done near closing time and they uber me back to the shop and I drove home and I started to hear a chirping noise from the left front wheel as I drove. They told me I can bring it back but during the week I work in another county so I told them I'll bring it back on Saturday and it eventually was from the strut they had put in. They put in another one and all is well. Though I had to take the car back, I'm giving them 4 stars because Sergio who helped me on both occasion made sure I was 100% satisfied and he explained everything that was done to my vehicle to isolate the noise. This shop was recommended by America's Tire on Merrill Avenue in Riverside. Went there to get my car aligned as it was pulling to the right. They agreed to do the job and told me that I needed a camber kit. I have no idea if that was truly needed but I trusted them. What in my opinion should have been an $80 alignment turned out to cost $175.90 for the alignment, camber kit, and camber labor. The technician performed the job and went for a test drive. Apparently the car wasn't right so he put it up on the rack and worked on it for another 1/2 hour. After about two hours total, they delivered the car back to me saying that it was aligned and in good condition. I paid the bill and drove home while observing the car's behavior. It didn't seem quite right but it wasn't bad. Fast forward several months: I was never satisfied with the "feel" of the car while driving in a straight line despite the fact that I never bumped a curb or hit potholes. I got tired of the car not being "right" so had it re-aligned at a different shop six months later. Of course, they told me the car was not in alignment and corrected the problem which cost an additional $70. Now my car tracks perfectly straight and I'm happy. Total cost $245.90. Not going back to this shop---ever. read more
