I was recommended to Brake tech from discount tires. I call to schedule an appointment. I was told the machine was down and they couldn't perform the service. Ok, things happen out of our control sometimes. Ask if I can schedule for next week. I was told yes, but I would need to call back next week. I call back the following week and schedule an appointment for the following morning at 8 am. I get a text to confirm my appointment within minutes of my call that says my appointment is scheduled for the following weekend. So had to call again for that correction. When I arrive this morning I am told oh sorry the tech that handles that won't be in until 11 or 12. They had a family emergency. I have decided not to get my car serviced there, Broken equipment, can't schedule an appointment correctly and don't call to tell me not to arrive as tech an emergency. took my car in for brake insp. I was told inspection would take 15 minutes. I was given an estimate and told repairs would take 35 minutes. I was there over 3 hours. Get my car drive away and my brakes sounded worse than when I brought them in. Tell the person at the desk . She tells the mechanic, who looks irritated and never comes out to ask me anything about it. Then another mechanic, Kayden, comes out test drives it and figures out what the issue is. He puts it on a jack and handles it. As he addressing it I heared the comment " they don't have time to deal with that. Excuse me? I then talked with the head mechanic. Kayden was great . Made a 4 pm appointment. They took my vehicle right away. The counter service was friendly. The tech came out and got me to show me what was inspected and what needed to be replaced. I knew my brake pads are bad because they were grinding quite loudly. He showed me the rotors and they were shot. I was happy with with the work and customer service. read more

Went in for front brake pads replacement only per my Groupon. They started to take apart the rear brakes. I heard them pounding on the rear brakes. I had to stop them and remind them I only needed front brakes. They stated that "by law" they are required to inspect all of the brakes. I told them I wanted front pads only. They told me I needed new rotors. I told them no. They tried to tell me the Groupon was for all four. My Groupon specifically says front pads only. She said she had to call and verify. Don't recommend this shop to anyone. Worst experience that I have ever had. There was an employee there whom damaged my vehicle, was extremely high off some drug and attempted to quote me an extremely high price. He then attempted to send me a text message to get me to approve the quote. When attempting to speak with the owner, he pulled off in his vehicle. This is definitely a shady business. They are advertising brake pads for the front and rear for $88 with Labor included but once you get to the shop the estimate is extremely higher. Please don't fall victim to a shady business. I visited the location and immediately felt an awesome vibe when greeted by Bajah, the front desk professional. I brought my own materials to have brake services completed, yet upon diagnosis was informed that they would not fit. The staff, Mary Bajah and Jackie were super helpful in helping me to locate the proper materials while informing me why the current ones would not fit. Once informed, I scheduled to return the next day with the proper materials. I can honestly say that the entire staff, front end and garage staff are the most pleasant and warm individuals that I have experienced during the pandemic. The most memorable time for me on both days was the sharing of infinite laughter, a great cup of coffee, and warm vibes during cold temperatures with the ladies. Showed up an hour after they were supposed to open. No body there. Side door was open. Radio on. No body in sight, well except for a small child who was left unattended sleeping in the office on their couch. There was another customer there who was also upset no body was there. I made an appointment for an in shop brake repair at their Warren location at 14 Mile and VanDyke for 9:30 a.m.. it is now 10 a.m. and there is not a soul in sight. I am highly frustrated I drove quite a distance to be here on time and there's no one here. The phone number they give you to contact disconnects after one ring. I think it is very unprofessional to have people come to your business for brake repairs knowing that they are driving with questionable brakes and then not being there to do the actual repairs. About the only thing that does work about braketech is there automated response to your appointment time. Their price may be fantastic but their business practices are questionable.
