After checking YELP when the dealership wouldn't even give me a quote to fix my exhaust leak, I made an appointment here. When I arrived at 9, my car was immediately looked brought in to be looked at. I was taken out to see what the problem was and while I was waiting another customer was also shown what was wrong with her car. Other places I have had to ask to do that since I worry that some might try to take advantage of a person with boobs and long hair. I am usually the worst nightmare for those places since I am a woman who knows how to work on cars. Helped change 4 engines by age 18 and can fix my own brakes. But always enjoy letting someone else to do that since back and knees are well over 50. They were able to get the parts and repair the car for less than the price of the parts on the GM parts website. The waiting room has comfortable padded chairs, coffee, cold water, and even some rolls. Since the parts had to be delivered, I had a couple hours wait. Being widowed with my best friends working on Saturday, I just walked to neighborhood stores and a place to eat. My car waited on the lift instead of being taken to the lot to wait. It was fixed quickly once the parts came. I was able to see the old parts and the new parts on my car. Could have even taken the parts home if wanted ( maybe to make steampunk garden art if I still had a house). Wasn't pushed to buy anything else. It is great to find an honest shop with fair prices. Throw in good service, it might get my business instead of the dealer. My car is 18 years old and I have had it 15 years. Good service will allow cars to last that long. Will be back if I need to have my car fixed. read more

Drove my truck to the shop. Pointed at it in the parking lot. Discussed with the manager what I wanted to do for exhaust repairs and mods. We talked at length about it. Scheduled an appointment. Waited a week for that appointment. Walked in the door on the morning of and was told "I'm sorry we can't work on that truck here, it's too tall for our lifts." Wasted my time. SCAM AND RIP OFF!!!!! Beware DONT take your car here for service!!!! They do not honor the work they perform.. Unprofessional and rude.. They SUPPOSEDLY fixed my exhaust but apparently they on fix par or pierces even though they said they fixed the whole system!!! CHARGED ME 700.000 dollars.......... Had issues brought it back and they wanted to charged me 120 to relook at the car.. Hence, the same problem I bought it in for initially .. Management came out and tried to charge me an additional 60.00... Got rude with me and snippy... I smell a small claims lawsuit... DONT, DONT, DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! Great customer service, great people, great hospitality! I've been going here for 3yrs & they always get the job done right with a fair cost. My car had lights popping on & off so I made an appt & was able to dropped my car off the next day. Jacob did an awesome job breaking everything down for me so I could understand what was going on. What I admire about the guys here is their honesty to their customers. They could have easily quoted me a price & created a bigger problem. Came in and spoke to Scott at front desk. Seemed like a half decent guy..... although he looks like a used car salesman. He quoted me for $275 to remove old muffler, replace with stage II flow master and replace sections where I would need to remove catalytic converters. He said remove everything from catalytic converters back. I went home and removed with reciprocal saw and returned the next day. Scott places on lift and had me come out. He then states that he never agreed to replace with flowmaster or to do anything other that replace short sections where catalytic converters were missing. He then states that he wants to increase estimate to over $1000 and I would need to pay for a magnaflow because he doesn't stock the flowmaster I requested. This place is as shady as they come. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Get everything in writing up front with this place. Scam artist to the core. read more

I went in to have the flex pipe replaced (a small section of the muffler). They insisted that to replace it they needed to drop the exhaust system and it would be the same cost to just replace the whole system at a cost of $540, then dropped it to $500 with a veteran's discount. A mechanic friend, who does not do muffler work, said that doesn't sound right and to check around. Sure enough I went to a small independent muffler shop and they cut out the bad section, welded the new flex pipe section in, it took 30 minutes...total cost $100. read more

HORRIBLE. Stay away at all costs. After missing two days of work and spending $800 on brakes and calipers, the engine died on me one month after they told me it was in GREAT condition. I had dropped it off for a full inspection to help determine my position on a home purchase in case I needed a new car prior to buying a house. They told me that the engine looked great and I could easily get several more years out of the car. Then the engine died 3 weeks later and I found out they never even looked at it because the bolts to the cover were still rusted on! I ended up having to junk the car for $300 and buy a new one. Do not trust them, they're scammers. I didn't need the calipers they told me I needed. They never inspected my car. They just wanted my money and to waste my time and make me miss multiple days of work because of it. Mr. Muffler is the "fast food" of the mechanic industry. read more

EDITED UPDATE: CHANGE in RATING. Needed a catalytic converter security device (Cat Clamp) professionally installed. "No problem, we can do it," said Jason at the counter. A service person installed the device but did not follow the device instructions as I had read them. I called the shop and explained the issue. Jason not only offered to make it right with another installation but ordered a brand new Cat Clamp to replace the original device and cables. After letting me inspect the final job on the lift with Mark, I was satisfied and on my way. No additional charges to me. I was definitely impressed. read more

I really like this shop! I have had great service and I like the mechanics very much! I did however bring my car in for new breaks last Saturday and decided to get a second quote. Upon doing so, I was able to get what I needed for 1/2 the price, and the company I chose used top of the line products. For instance ceramic break pads. I noticed that Mr. muffler offers a free rental to its customers while the work is being done as a perk...But not worth paying double the price. I recommend shopping their prices. read more
