Only issue is: appointments don't really get priority - it is more of a first come, first serve. Probably waited an hour or so, before service. Other than that, I was extremely impressed. Thought James (the Mngr) was to the point, and extremely honest. Gave me an estimate of Half that of Tires Plus, educated me on brakes, in a nice and humble way. And came in under the estimate, with the Best pads you can get - Ceramic. He never asked for any info to solicit me, and made it very clear, to call him right away, if I had any issues. Every thing is monitored on Cameras, for each bay. Very comfy seats and low relaxed lighting. The tire store wanted 2 days and he was done in 3 hours! read more

I was having trouble with my car and pretty sure it was the brakes. I took it up there and the manager did a test drive & diagnostic. He said yes the brakes are not 100% but also recommended that I wait on the repair. I was so impressed that he did not exaggerate or try to push me into what will eventually be a near $900 repair (around 1/3 of the cost of the other places I price checked). When it's time for that repair, I'll DEFINITELY be going back. Honesty is auto service is an incredibly rare thing, but I found it at this Orange Park location. read more

Manager Devin is amazing! I had a great experience he was courteous did great job on my Mercedes GL 450. His staff was knowledgeable and prices were fair. Took my car here for a back noise inspection (under warranty) the employee broke a part (from the left rear brakes) Now they want $450 to fix the rear brakes. Stay out of this place, all they want is your money! * An Update to this review (04/14/2012) took the MiniVan to an Honest Mechanic The issue he found with the rear brakes was crystallization...just a simple clean up fix it all (No cylinders to replace, shoes etc etc as BRAKES 4 LESS stated)! Brakes 4 Less - Brought my car because the back - Auto Repair Near Me - Orange Park, Florida

Was in and out in 45 minutes. Went in for the special and of course my car needed more that what the special advertised so I ended up paying a little over $300 for my front brakes and rotor to be changed. Since I was in a rush I went ahead and had it done, but of course now that I'm in no hurry I found a place that would have been cheaper. I was still pleased with their service though. read more

BEWARE. I was quoted $119 for the two brake pads package, plus $70 per new roter for my specific car's make and model over the phone. When we arrived to the place, they upped the price to $120 per roter, totaling $397! (Originally $260 plus taxes). When I told them what was told to me over the phone, they claimed that they would never do a roter for $70 each. Meanwhile, my dad has owned his own auto shop for forty years (in central Florida) and told us that even $70 per roter was too expensive, so $120 per roter was ridiculous. So we took our car and left to go to a honest auto shop at reasonable prices. Always shop around. Don't let dishonest people swindle you for your hard earned money. read more

Took my 4 runner here a few weeks ago for new brakes..expected to pay around $200, I paid $400 because my rotors were bad too, apparently. My car has been shaking terrible since. I went in today and without waiting the tech took my car for a test drive, and pulled it back to fix it immediately. I waited about 45 minutes in all, and now my car drives smooth again. I give a 3 because I hate that I had to take it back, but I am pleased with how fast they took care of the problem today and how courteous they were. read more

Bait and Switch - Hard Up Sell I had pre-purchased thier $149 Standard 4 Wheel Brake Job package that states it includes new "Quality Pads or Shoes" from one of the discount sites like Groupon (I can't remember which one). I saw this "Deal" a couple of days after we took our 2006 Honda Element (which we purchased new and has around 65K miles on it) to the Honda dealer for a power window issue. While at the dealership they did a standard safety check and the mechanic mentioned that my front brake pads would have to be replace soon. The brakes had no problems, so I decided to wait, find a deal and have it done later. My 62 year old wife made an appointment and took our Element into Brakes 4 Less today. Before she left, she mentioned that she heard from a couple friends that they try to upsell hard. I told her if they did to have the guy call me. Sure enough, the phone soon rang and she told me they wanted an additional $258! I talked to the mechanic and he said one of my rear calipers "sticking out" - should be replaced and he suggested that they install ceramic pads instead of the cheap ones in the $149 Standard Package. After some more back and forth, he said that I should a least spend an additional $80 for the ceramic pads. I also refused that and demanded that he just do the $149 job I had already paid for! There was nothing wrong with my brakes other than the fron pads were a little worn since it was recently checked by my Honda dealer. They saw a little old lady come in and tried to take advantage of her. They wanted her to pay $258 in addition to the $149 voucher she had ($407 total). Today the listed price on their website for what he origanally suggested is $249. He wanted $9 more that their listed price plus my $149 prepaid voucher! Same for the ceramic pads that he wanted $80 more for. I should have know better - even my wife heard they were a ripoff place. After my refusal they were rude to my wife. Who knows what they did or didn't do to our car. BEWARE! read more

In February, a large tire and brake center quoted us $1500 for a complete brake job (brakes, rotors, calipers) for a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Brakes 4 Less provided a second quote of just over 1/2 this cost. Naturally we chose the lesser quote. The work was completed in 2 hours and outside of a sticky caliper, which they fixed promptly, we had a great experience. In fact, our friends discovered while visiting us on vacation, last week, that they also needed a complete brake overhaul, so we recommended Brakes 4 Less. They too had a great experience for hundreds less than the quote they received from another shop for repairs to their minivan. We are new residents of Florida, but even as we learn our way around, we feel sure that Brakes 4 Less will remain our brake repair shop. read more

Had my rear brake shoes and hardware replaced on 3/28/15. DJ was the person that greeted me. He was very friendly, courteous, personable, knowledgeable, and most of all very patient with all my questions. He explained to me what I needed, why I needed it and showed me exactly what was needed. As a matter of fact, all the employees were friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost. I expected higher as I had been taking my car to the dealership...never again! I am and was extremely satisfied with my experience there and will recommend them to anyone who needs brake work.
