Other places were only willing to quote me on cost to run tests or they did not do work on my make model. Very satisfied I decided to go with CB to have my A/C compressor replaced. 1 day turnaround. Extremely friendly and very smooth process. Great communication over phone and via text with photos, videos and clear work order you can approve or decline suggested items. I also like that they are closed on weekends so it means they care about their employees and respect peoples time. Open from 7-6 so manageable for most to be able to drop off and pick up m-f. Shuttle service offered. I didnt need but nice to know. Would go back. Ps service is guaranteed.

I had them check some other issues and trusted their recommendations. Now another location is showing me the small problem is now a huge problem. Now other shops are quoting $12k to fix the bigger issue caused by the service. Skip the door holding when you leave and go to walmart next store. it's the same work with nicer work clothes.

I booked this mobile mechanic through Yelp for a diagnostic after already having my Jeep scanned at…read moreAutoZone and receiving error codes (injector, spark plugs, and gaskets). I explained this upfront and still chose to proceed with a diagnostic to confirm the issue. I was quoted a flat $65 diagnostic fee by the owner with no mention of pricing ranges or tiers. I agreed and scheduled the service. The technician arrived about 30 minutes later than scheduled, which I was informed of ahead of time. During a brief text exchange with the owner, I expressed concern due to a prior negative experience with another company. The response I received made the interaction feel slightly tense, including being told I could "find someone else" if needed. When the technician arrived, I explained the issues and the codes I already had. During the inspection, the technician began deeper inspection work on the vehicle. I was not clearly informed beforehand that more extensive disassembly or work beyond a basic diagnostic could result in additional charges. Afterward, I was told the diagnostic would actually be $200 due to the depth of the inspection, despite originally being quoted $65. After discussing this, I was ultimately charged $75. I expressed concern that the pricing change was not communicated upfront. The owner later acknowledged that he should have communicated a pricing range and that this was a mistake on his part. I requested a copy of the diagnostic findings I was being charged for. The response indicated there was no formal report, but pictures and a summary were provided. Communication afterward included frustration from the business regarding the reduced payment, despite the pricing change being due to lack of prior disclosure. While I do believe the technician performed the inspection thoroughly and provided useful findings, the core issue was the lack of clear communication around pricing structure, scope of work, and potential cost changes before work beyond a basic diagnostic began. I would recommend future customers get very clear written confirmation of what is included in the diagnostic fee, whether deeper inspection can change pricing, and what documentation will be provided before service begins.

No big deal. My husband and I are both out of a job so we didn't need two cars. A day goes by then another then another. I don't hear anything from them till Monday morning through a phone call saying they found the leak it would be $300 and there were a few other things wrong with the vehicle as well that would total to $1,300 I told them "wow ok well just do the leak for now" I go to pick up my car later that day and the man gives me a total of $1,300. I inform him no I just had a leak fixed and he said no you agreed to have all of this fixed. Instantly I'm crying making a fool out of myself because I don't have that kind of money considering my husband and I are both out of work. He says "I can call the owner and see what he can do if you leave it here an extra day" so I left it there an extra day. They call the next morning and tell me we can bring it down to $900 but we can't give you the car without it and we can't cut into the labor of our workers. They have NO PHONE RECORDINGS. No proof of anything. And the owner Jim Reap refuses to bring down the cost even though there was a communication error and no proof of who said what. Basically what I'm saying is if you really feel the need to bring your business here BRING YOUR HUSBAND OR FATHER WITH YOU. And DO NOT AGREE TO ANYTHING OVER THE PHONE.

It's uncommon to come across a business that treats you fairly and genuinely cares about your experience throughout the business interaction. What is even more exceptional is finding a business that is able to leave an impression on you not just once, but one that consistently exceeds your expectations. We discovered Stamps when my wife's car was in need of tires. Our first experience brought us back, and every experience since has reaffirmed my opinion that Tim and his team are truly a rare find in the service industry. Most recently, I brought my F250 in for servicing. Of course, it was a weekday morning, trying to get kids to school before heading to work, and the truck won't start. Based on the input of a roadside assistance team, I was expecting to walk out with two new batteries and at least one, if not two alternators (dual alternator vehicle), and a hefty unexpected bill. Once the roadside assistance team got me running, I immediately called Tim and explained the situation. Tim, understanding my need to find a solution before it was time to pick up kids, worked with his schedule and told me that if I came right in, he'd have me ready by that afternoon. When I dropped off the truck, Tim had me in and out, he even drove me back to the house so that I could make arrangements to get to work as quickly as possible. Around lunch Tim called me to let me know that he had checked the entire system (batteries, alternators, starter, wiring, etc) and the good news was that everything checked out except the batteries. Regarding the batteries, I asked his opinion on several brands I'd researched, including some of the top-tier batteries on the market. Tim had every opportunity to up-sell me but that's not how Stamps does business. Instead, he considered my typical vehicle use, and recommended a set of batteries that should last me much longer without breaking the bank. When I picked up the truck that afternoon, Tim was again there to meet me. He explained exactly how they tested the system, what they found, and asked if I had questions....what you typically expect from a good service provider. Tim then told me to check-in with him and let him know if I saw anything out of the ordinary. He specifically told me what conditions to be aware of that might be indicative of another issue and reiterated to call him if there were any other difficulties. This is what, in my opinion, makes Stamps a great service provider. As I was getting ready to leave, Tim understood that this was an unanticipated expense and let me know that he was going to help me out on the final invoice. He applied a generous discount and wished me a Happy Thanksgiving. I walked out feeling as though I had someone looking out for my interests and I hope the Stamps team takes pride in knowing that they have absolutely earned my loyalty...a win-win situation, which should be the goal of any service provider.
