    Eggplant (squishy and unsettling)
    Sam S.

Calamari? More like squid jerky haha am I right??? LOL so hard and dried out we had to toss it. The pizza was also over cooked and tough on my jaw. Everything was over salted my tongue is numb. The eggplant just wasn't good either. Nothing tasted fresh when it arrived. The calamari and eggplant especially tasted like it's been sitting a while and the croutons on the salad were also stale. Really disappointing. Dinner in the trash byeeeee

Our waitress's name was Jazzy, she was super polite and happy. The food was amazing. All over olive garden. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restrooms were super clean[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the atmosphere was super chill.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] By far the best pasta I have had in Wisconsin

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for a really great, retro pizza parlor experience, Capri di Nuovo is that place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went there for a Saturday lunch and were transported back in time to the family-owned pizza places I fondly remembered frequenting in my home town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were especially happy with our server, Nathan, with his knowledge of the menu and unique ability to keep my soft drink glass topped up without my asking. I ordered their pan pizza (12 inch) and there was enough there to feed three or maybe four people. I thought our waiter had made a mistake and gave us extra cheese but he assured me the mound of mozzarella was the normal amount. The excellent cheese complimented the sauce and fresh toppings buried under the cheese. Our friends had the cracker crust veggie and had a similar experience, but with less cheese. Plenty, but not as much as the pie crust pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The one negative I could find was that it was a bit dark in the dining room for food photography, hehe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A great place for pizza!

It was Friday night and I had to take an unexpected trip to the ER with my mom. During her visit that ended up being in excess of six hours, my husband and I needed to run out and have some dinner before heading back to the ER. Capri di Nuovo is 3 minutes from Aurora and provided a much needed oasis in our otherwise bleak Friday evening. We were able to sit on their charmingly lit planter lined patio. We began the evening with whiskey old fashioneds made the Wisconsin style. They were great. For our dinner, I got their individual sized Italian cobb salad which was small but mighty. It was bursting with freshness and flavor. My dining companion got their lasagna with ricotta, which was huge. I had a couple bites and it was all cheesy deliciousness. One note: it came with two serving spoons and is definitely meant to feed 2-3 people (we didn't know and he ordered as his entree!). I also got a side of garlic bread and a small side of one piece, came with two large pieces. They were a bit hard/crunchy for my taste but the flavor was great. The service was attentive and kind and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Get to it!

My mom randomly came into town and she wanted Italian--I've read good reviews and went once with girlfriends so I picked here. Because it was just us two, I'm glad I did :) It was a Tuesday and we waited around 45 minutes. I don't know if this is the norm due to the smaller amount of seating or if it was because the Tuesday special are "kids eat free" and "buy one get one half off lasagna". With just my mom, this was fine! But if with a group or kids, the wait with minimal wait space could have been tricky. Speaking of the entrance and wait space--there is a counter that is for pick-up; I love this (lots of people coming in for their take-out)! But once they clarify that, no one ever directed you to go check in at the bar; I think this would be helpful for those who aren't regulars. I found myself directing others to the bar so they didn't waste time waiting and wondering what they do lol Once we were seated, we ordered right away and I loved our server; he was really kind and came to check on us the perfect amount of times. We got a Salad for Two (Caesar--I swear they make homemade dressing? It was good) and lasagna. The lasagna was nice and hot, the sauce was sweet, and the garlic bread was full of garlic (personally, I love this). I have had two meals of leftovers since. If you've got time just in case the wait is a bit longer, you should go! Just know you go actually check in if other patrons are crowding the entrance ;)

My cousins and I wanted to get pizza. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of Capri was very traditional which is hard to find in pizza restaurants.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will say this is on my list of pizza places in Wisconsin now. The service was pretty good. And the pizza was really tasty. I like the green olives on the vegetarian pizza! I will have to try it again!

I made a 6:00 reservation for 12 people on a Sunday night. We were seated outside, inside the not-so-new white tent, which was outfitted with a loud space heater, wrought iron patio furniture, and a door that didn't close all the way. While I was told they weren't short staffed, our service was extremely slow. One of our guests had to order a glass of wine 3 times before he finally got it. It also took about 45 minutes to receive our dinners, and when they arrived, much of them were not up to the standards I'd read about. The garlic bread was overcooked and oily, a Chicago style pizza was not hot all the way through, an Italian Beef sandwich was tough, a Carbonara sauce began curdling half way through the meal and a shrimp scampi was "not the best I've had." It's possible they were just having an off night, but a one-time visit was enough for me.

Calling Capri di Nuovo at 6:20 on a Tuesday during winter, I was surprised at a 40 minute wait since I had not heard of the place prior. We understood once we started eating. The inside isn't huge, mostly 13 tables of four. They somewhat recently renovated, hence the "di Nuovo." It still exuded traditional Italian. They also have a tent outside with tables. Our server had a fun personality and was patient with our indecisiveness. I recommend the sampler platter for first time visitors; it came with the following: 2 wings. The garlic ones were very good but not a ton of meat. The regular wings app comes with 10 wings. The price is probably worth it if you like wings. 5 thick eggplant fries- They were good. Obviously it tastes like eggplant. 2 stuffed mushrooms also good 2 motterella sticks. These wonton fried cheese sticks were not great, chewy. And thick cheese. Garlic bread huge portion. Addicting and not overly cheesy. Spinach artichoke would order again. Not too oily. Doesn't taste fake or frozen like many restaurants. Entrees tried: Capri salad Good size even for 2. Excellent tasting. The Italian Dressing also very good. Chicken Alfredo chicago pizza. Very filling. Good not a ton of chicken per cheese. A little soupy. Still good reheated Classic Lasagna is pretty good. The cover and bake the top with cheese. The insides primilary consisted of a traditional red sauce, noodles, and meat. It is not full of herbs or ricotta, although you can buy ricotta for $2. It doesn't need the ricotta, it's that tasty. BOGOHO on Tuesdays. Comes with garlic bread. Stallis pizza also good. The thin crust was crisp, not burnt or limp. They have a variety of deals throughout the week.

Great dinner. We will be back!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Shout out to Capri di Nuovo, which has a relaxed, "locals" vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Andy, the manager, was friendly, knowledgeable & accommodating of dietary restrictions. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our registered & certified therapy dog was welcomed with open arms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious, especially the garlic bread. Portions were generous. Nathan, our server, was amazing. We will be back! Anyone who has food allergies knows how hard it can be to dine out. Both Andy & Nathan took this VERY seriously. I felt heard, understood, & safe. Capri has earned my trust & our return business!

Wife was excited for that! Server was friendly and had just the right amount of attentiveness. The place was moderately busy and I can appreciate that on a Wednesday. It is casual and good for family dining. We started with the mozz sticks. Wonton wrapped and had a light garlic butter coating. Marinara was solid and they were tasty. Pizza was thin crust and cooked to my liking. The toppings were scattered, per the illustrations, and the taste was good. As a Racine/Kenosha (R-K) native, where you cannot take a step without tripping over a good pizza, I always compare places to them. How does the RMI stack up to the R-K pizza? It is lacking flavor in the dough and toppings. Is is good? Yes, but it is not R-K tier. I would love to come back and try other offerings. The meatballs looked good, as did the wings! I will be back and anyone else who hasn't gone should check out the RMI. Let your taste buds decide where this pizza falls in your past travels.

Red Mill Inn has been near the top of my places to try list for a while. It was a smoky day due to Canadian wildfires, so I sat inside instead of out on their nice looking patio and ordered cheese garlic bread and a large sausage pizza. I enjoyed the cheese garlic bread. It was a very thick piece of bread that was crunchy on the outside and super soft on the inside. I'd gladly get it again. The pizza was good, not great. I appreciated the crispy edges from the oven it's cooked in, but something about it didn't wow me. It was so thin that I ate more than I probably should in a single sitting. I'd likely try something else if/when I come back to experience the patio. Shout-out to Rosie. She was an awesome waitress and I actually called back to confirm her name so I could mention it specifically in my review.

Continued expansion may be inevitable, so I figured I'd give their food a try see where it stacks up against other chain pizza stores. For Pi Day (March 14th) they had a special of a 6" mini pizza for free with the purchase of a 20oz soda. I got extra cheese and linguisa (a type of sausage) on the pizza. I also ordered six garlic not-knots for an appetizer. The garlic not-knots were very good. I didn't read the item description before ordering since I assumed they were just garlicky dough, so I was pleasantly surprised that they had cheese on/in them and a little crunch from the baked cheese. The pizza was ok. The linguista didn't stand out like I hoped it would and the amount of cheese on the pizza is what I would have expected it normally have, so I don't know if they added extra or not. That said, I'd rather have their pizza than Domino's, Pizza Hut, Toppers, or Little Caesars. Papa John's is still my preferred chain pizza store though. Two things that may hurt this Mountain Mike's chances of succeeding: price and location. Their pizzas are pretty expensive (for example, a 14" cheese pizza is $25). I definitely recommend signing up for their rewards to get discounts rather than paying full price. As for location, this particular strip mall is always packed, making parking very difficult. Being in a busy area not far from Southridge Mall is fine if you want a lot of potential customers, but that location might be a turn off once people try to visit.
