She went up to the counter and asked about this kind of shoe, with a passing reference to Hokas, and rather than directing her to the Nike Vomeros, which were on the shelf literally a few feet away, the staff gave her a snide comment about how they only sell shoes that have style. That was one lost sale. I also had seen a sweater I really liked about 10 minutes prior but there was no way I was going to buy it from Shoe Palace after seeing my mother in law get dissed like that.
