    French dip sandwich

It's nice to see that. They finally opened the restaurant that has steak and fish dinner at Murphy's. Near Arnold California. Between five of us we had mixed reviews regarding their food. I ordered the French dip sandwich didn't really like the bread roll too thicken doughy! my friend ordered the fish and chips that she loved. My friend and her husband ordered the filet mignon and thought the meat was fake because of the texture and no flavor... our other Friend ordered that regular steak that he liked . the service was great. They do have outdoor seating and a bar with seat seating. Will definitely give this place another try in the near future.

Came in around 5 on a Saturday. Staff was friendly and we were seated fairly quickly. Took a bit for waitress to swing around but hostess covered drinks in the meantime. Ordered the 14oz Ribeye and the Kids Grilled Cheese. I was blown away how fast the food came out. Side Salad was usual fair. Ribeye was cooked perfectly to order (medium rare) and the seasonal veggies (green beans, bacon bits, grilled onion) blew me away. Son loved his grilled cheese. Would definitely come back when we're out this way.

We stopped at the Branding Iron for the shrimp tacos. We didn't know the restaurant is just three weeks new. From the outside, it looks very establish. Of course it was a restaurant before, but extensive remodeling later, the new Branding Iron Saloon opened. We had the afore-mentioned shrimp tacos and the Thai chicken salad. You get three tacos, with lightly battered and perfectly cooked crispy shrimp, topped with avocado slices, slaw, and a lightly spicy mayo. My W loved them and I thought they were quite tasty, too. The Thai salad is served on chopped Romain with thin carrot stripes, green onions, and lots of crispy won ton skin strips. Chicken was sliced thin and perfectly grilled. Dressing is sweet and SPICY! My mouth is still hot as I write this. I forgot to order the dressing on the side, and it was over dressed for my taste. And I wished there was more lettuce, mostly to fill me up. There were plenty of other toppings. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere with the country music in the back ground is nice. They have a nice bar area with some big TV screens. We'd eat here again, next time we are in Murphys.

Our waitress was perfect. Dark brown hair, black shirt and black pants and a tattoo on her neck I couldn't read. Placed us at a booth by the window. Light and not too loud. We ordered the Fried Green Beans, French Onion Soup, and Crab Salad Sandwiches. The aioli sauce with the green beans was solid. Little kick in the aioli. The French onion soup was as expected...good. The crab sandwich was delicious. I love mayo! The crab salad had celery. I love the crackle. The avocado and Swiss were a good addition. The restaurant is located down by Vida Moda which is a really good winery to taste at. So in my opinion a great place to park too!

Unfortunately, the food here is absolutely appalling. I ordered the crab sandwich because it clearly states on their menu, "yes it's REAL crab". There is no way in hell this is real crab (or if it is, it's 1%). I could see the strings of what looked like artificial crab, but it actually tasted like tuna. I cut it up (hence the small piece in the pic) and shared it with my husband who agreed with me. The salad was fine, but the chicken was also gross and clearly not real chicken (rubbery and funky). My kids shared the chicken nuggets (also fake chicken) and the fries were covered in paprika. Definitely not kid friendly. Super disappointed in this place although the staff were quick and friendly.

Came to check out this cute town. We yelped a few restaurants and came upon Branding Iron. We decided to try it out based on the reviews. Service was fine. Good came out pretty quick. We ordered the gravy fries, chili and french onion. We were looking forward to the fries based on the description. Unfortunately they were just ok. The french onion soup was fine but very salty (typically my fav soup but it was too salty to finish). The chili was super spicy and ok. We left pretty disappointed with your lunch.

Just tried this restaurant last week and was pleasantly surprised! Nice atmosphere, good food, and good service! We will definitely be back!

Recommend making a reservation. This is a traditional steak & burger spot. Don't come for a culinary masterpiece, but rather a good solid meal. Full bar with some creative twists on classic cocktails. Chicken sandwich gave upgraded chick fil a vibes - pickles and all. Branded bun was a fun touch. Pork chop was cooked perfectly. Peppercorn sauce/gravy that they cover it in was so good. Twice baked potato was a wonderful side. Do not recommend the crème brûlée. Custard had an off taste and the top was not caramelized, it was straight burnt.

We didn't have reservations but we got seated right away near bar area. They have outdoor seating too. Staff (our bar tender was also our waiter) was extremely attentive and friendly. We got our drinks and food pretty quickly too. We ordered the ribeye steak and pork chop with loaded baked potatoes. Dinner entree came with a side salad also. Omg the whiskey pepper sauce on my chop was excellent- lots of flavors. It is totally casual setting but I dressed up for my birthday dinner. Parking is limited so like other restaurants in downtown Murphys, you will have to walk a few blocks to get there.

Don't waste your money at this restaurant. The owners are rude. The stuff on the menu are overpriced. I would not give them my business.

Even though it was late on a Tuesday the patio was still busy. We got a nice table outside because it was a beautiful day and we had our GSD with us. Shared the beet salad and the chicken burrito and also a kids hamburger with fries for the pup ( fries were for us). PROTIP: We took the option to split each dish by the kitchen and although it cost a couple bucks more, you get a little more of everything! Beet salad was solid with perfect allocations of all ingredients. I would say it was a bit heavy on the dressing but I like minimal dressing and my partner said it was perfect so there you go. The burrito was "wet" and delicious! Lots of flavor fresh ingredients and very saucy. Only thing it lacked was a little heat. Ask for tapatio if you like a little spice. The hamburger by the way, was larger than a normal hamburger you get on the kiddie menu. And the fries were piping hot and fresh. Our dog loved the burger as he should and we downed all the fries. Highly recommend and will be back!

When the dish was placed before me the bread slid to the other side of the white dish that had no other accompanying garnish like a piece of lettuce or parsley. It was one, maybe a 2" x 5" very thin piece of sourdough toast. Hardly a snack. Bacon was obviously cooked hours before and very overcooked. This dish was hardly appetizing as it was covered by three slices of very crispy bacon which fell to the side, revealing about four microscopic chips of tomato and 4 of avocado. The avocado was over ripe and black and I could barely see the yellow tomato. I was very disappointed in the visual appearance of this dish, to say the least! And the ingredients were barely present to illicit any flavor. I was given silverware, but upon trying to cut the toast the whole thing fell apart. I pieced it together and used my hands. Now, I know fresh food items are expensive, but this item in no way warranted the price of $16.75! I do not recommend this very busy, seemingly popular eatery.

Wouldn't come here, I'm wondering if they are rude to people from out of town on purpose. Next time I would just put a sign up that visitors will not be welcomed and treated poorly. The girls working were so unbelievably rude. After the snarky "what do you want" at the start of the night, that should have been our sign to leave. The service was very slow, they were busy but met with attitude every time we got another round. At the end of the night we got our bill and luckily someone in our group caught that we were charged $25 for a trucker hat which none of us requested to purchase. We brought this to the girl's attention and her response was "well that's why I told you to check the bill." In a sarcastic and rude voice. I strongly believe based on this interaction that they charge unsuspecting out of town visitors for their merch and hope that people won't notice and then they just pocket the money? We then asked for a receipt which we never received.... Shady. I really cannot get over how rude the staff was and can't wait to try other places in Murphy's and never return to this establishment. Pretzel was yummy though. So they get two stars just for the pretzel.
