This spot is actually such a vibe. The food was straight-up bussin'. I ordered the shrimp quesadilla and the molletes (baguette with beans, chorizo, and melted cheese), and the molletes absolutely ate. I'd come back just for those alone. We also tried the spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread, and it was solid too. The watermelon lemonade was low-key refreshing and definitely worth ordering. The service is always super friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. The ambiance is cozy and aesthetic--perfect for a date night or just catching up with someone. We were visiting the town of Murphys for the first time and stopped in at Jesus Restaurant for lunch while exploring. We chose to sit on the patio, which had a great view for people-watching and made for a really enjoyable atmosphere. It was such a fun spot to relax and take in the town. I ordered the carne asada tacos, and since it was around Valentine's Day, they made the taco shells pink -- such a cute and festive touch! The food was excellent and full of flavor. My husband ordered a sope and really enjoyed his as well. Service was a bit slow at times, but our server was friendly and kind, which we appreciated. Overall, a great stop during our visit to Murphys -- good food, fun ambiance, and a memorable little Valentine's detail. read more

Yummy food and nice outdoor seating. When we arrived on a Friday night at 6:30, there was only one family eating there. When we left after 7:30 there were three new parties of people. I was hesistant to sit down at first but thought we would try it based on the yelp reviews. Not sure if the non stop Christian music deteres people or all the God references inside the restuarant? It's good food and reasonably priced too. I think the restaurant should stick with just Mexican food or latin food and get ride of the Italian menu. One star is generous. Save yourself the trouble. Our experience here was genuinely awful from start to finish. Let's start with the service. Our waitress was dismissive and borderline rude the entire meal. No warmth, no attentiveness, and a complete lack of interest in whether we were actually enjoying our food. On top of that, one of the share plates they brought to the table was visibly dirty. If you're vegetarian, run. The options are nearly nonexistent, and what little they have is poorly executed. But it gets stranger: the salsa, the beans, AND the rice all contained meat. When I tried to order cheese enchiladas, I asked for red sauce and was told it had meat. So I asked for green sauce, also meat. At that point I genuinely had no idea what they intended to serve me. Meat in the salsa without an alternative is wild. My daughter and I both ordered the marinara pasta, and what arrived was a plate of pale, creamy noodles in something that bore no resemblance to marinara - pictured attached. When I asked about it, the waiter shrugged it off with "oh, it's homemade, so sometimes there's more tomato or not." It was inedible. We each managed two bites and gave up. My husband eats meat and ordered accordingly, and even his meal was, at best, just okay. The real kicker? No one ever checked on us. Not once. They didn't ask why two plates came back nearly untouched. They simply dropped a check for over $90 and moved on. Atrocious experience all around. We won't be back. read more

No regular creamer for coffee only french vanilla? And coffee wasn't ready anyway. After we ate they still hadn't put out the rug and specials board. Service needs help. Rice and beans had no flavor the shredded chicken was not shredded at all it was chunks of gray chicken that looked like it had been boiled. She didn't get it until towards the end of the meal. We were never told there will be a charge. Almost all restaurants do not charge for it. And those that charge will ask if it's okay first. I didn't find out until I asked what the charge was. My bad for not challenging it. read more

The staff were so nice - and the outdoor seating was a plus as we had our pooch with us. My husband got the chicken taco plate and I got the pork taco plate. Tacos were served with refried beans, rice and a tiny amount of lettuce topped with guac. The plate came out, not just out from under a warmer, but straight out of the oven, and I totally burned my arm after trying to adjust the plate. For most of the meal, i couldn't touch the plate. The taco was edible and the meal, overall, was decent. Trying to put hot lettuce on a taco is a little gross. Overall, super sweet staff but not impressed with the meal. read more

The food was pretty good, especially after a long drive! The restaurant was empty when we first arrived so we were seated very quickly. We sat indoors due to rain, but there was outdoor seating in the patio. As soon as we sat down, our waiter brought chips and salsa that we asked to refill soon after. The server was efficient, and overall friendly. At our table we ordered two Supreme Burritos, a Mole, a Taco Meal, and a Supreme Enchilada. Everything was warm and tasty and it was very easy to customize how you wanted your plate. We enjoyed the food, but the flavors weren't some of the best we've had in the cuisine. Stopped in on a Wednesday for lunch and it was quiet. Although they offer patio seating that looks inviting, we opted for inside due to the heat. Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable. The chips and homemade salsa were excellent. My wife had the Chili Relleno and I ordered the two taco plate with one chicken and one steak. Everything was tasty, hot and satisfying. This was kind of a relief because when we were looking over the menu, they also offer Italian and American comfort food, which seems kind of weird for a Mexican Restaurant. Fantastic meal at Jesus in Arnold, CA. Everything we ordered--nachos, enchiladas, chile relleno, and tacos--was full of flavor, but the sauces really stood out. We had a wonderful post-church brunch at Jesus' today. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food. We split The dirty fries and they were delicious! Our young kids loved their food too. We also got the order of 4 enchiladas with poblano creme sauce to go for my mother and they were a fresh tasty spin on enchiladas. The owner even said you can pick a different sauce for 2 of them and do half and half. We love that they serve breakfast too! The owners are working hard in the kitchen to deliver great food and unique homemade recipes every time. We will definitely be back soon. read more

Food was great, they have a they have a chorizo appetizer on bread with cheese that was really good. Also had a shrimp quesadilla that was fire. Their homemade salsa was one point as well. Only thing this place needs is a face lift and another server. But the traditional food was worth all of that. Will return next time I'm in Murphys. We did not have a good experience here, which was disappointing because the food smelled great and we had high hopes. The servers were nice, and even though the food took a while, they told us before hand that they were a bit understaffed, so we understood that there would be a bit of a wait. When our food came out, the cheese melted onto the enchiladas clearly had spots of green/blue mold all over it. The server saw it, said "Oh my Gosh. I'm so sorry". The server took it back, and insisted on making it again. She brought the new plate out, and said that we would be given a discount due to the inconvenience. Upon receiving the check, a different server told us that we would no longer be receiving a discount since they made it again, which made no sense considering the other server said we would be given a discount AFTER bringing out the remade plate. The server ringing us up then said that there was no mold on the food because he "held it up to the light", and "knows what mold looks like." Overall, the food was pretty bad and despite our first server being nice, the service altogether was awful, and it seems the food management is poor considering the moldy cheese.
