Ok, so I do miss the old Mimi's Cafe that was here, but I'm over it. Finally came in to try this place, Brandon's dinner. And ..... I am so happy I did. They had the dodger game on at the bar, and that's exactly where I sat to have my steak and eggs dinner, delicious! Cooked perfectly. I was waited on by Rosa and Abril, both were great, attentive. I was pleasantly surprised how upscale this diner feels, and that beer and liquor is served here. Food was good, service was awesome and they had the game. 5 stars. Check them out! read more

I don't understand why the reviews here are so high. Just had breakfast there after hearing that this location was "better than all the others" but it definitely wasn't. The hashbrows and toast were undercooked, the waffle was bland with no flavor. The strawberries had a strange taste to them, and our waitress didn't even bring out syrup with the waffle, so we had to wait around for somebody to come nearby before we could ask for some. It's all just standard diner food that you could find anywhere, the only thing we were impressed by was the building itself read more

I would give Brandon's diner more than 5 stars if I could, specifically this location. The wait wasn't as bad other diners, the staff is really friendly and our food tasted amazing. The skillets are outstanding. Also the t-bone steak was delicious. I definitely recommend. read more

At your Ontario location it is a waste of time to say how you want a steak sandwich cooked. On numerous occasions I've requested my steak cooked medium and it comes out well done. When I pointed this out, the brought me out another sandwich in which the steak was raw and cold. Went today and asked for medium and the steak was all red slightly grilled. They said that they could cook it more and when it came back, they must have microwaved the entire sandwich as the lettuce was hot, the mayo was no longer white and the bread was also hot. I ate a small portion of one half of the sandwich and did not eat the other half. I told the server that the streak was no overcooked, she did not offer to redo the sandwich so I ended up having just the fries for dinner. After I was presented with the bill, the steak sandwich was still on the bill minus 10% ($1.95 off of $18.95). I asked why I was being charged so much for something I didn't even eat. I would have gladly paid for the fries. So they ended up taking 25% off. So in effect, I paid $14 for French fries. I have been going to Brandon's for many years and have been to many or their locations. But I will no longer be going there again. read more

First time at Brandon's on Mountain Ave in Upland for breakfast. The menu offers traditional breakfast, omelets, pancakes, waffles and Mexican specialties. The portions were large, maybe oo large.. Pancakes were light and fluffy, but the whipped cream was not good. Definitely from the can and likely a budget brand, suggest skip the whip. The Machaca with eggs was very good as were the beans. The entire staff was friendly and efficient. They were very busy and food came out fast and was nice and hot Now for the issues and the reason I will not be returning. The NOISE level in the dining room was out of control. You had to yell just to speak with people across the table and if someone is hard of hearing, forget about it, they won't hear anything but noise. This location used to be Mimi's and there was carpet on the floor in the dining room. Brandon's freshened up everything and replaced the carpet with vinyl planking. It looks very nice, but there's nothing to absorb the sound. The ceiling is very high which just creates an echo. It was NOT an enjoyable dining experience They should consider hanging some large acoustical panels to absorb the sound. read more

As much as I love their food. The one here on mountain has horrible service. First they say that they need to clean a table.. then they say no tables available. I see 2 booths and a tables available. Went to have a healthy breakfast this morning with my husband. We both had omelettes; I had the House Omelette made with egg whites and added Ortega chile and bell peppers and my husband had the Popeye Omelette and added jalapeños and bell peppers. We had both made with very little oil and cottage cheese as the sides. Breakfast was delicious!!! We had Kathy as our server and she was awesome!! She was patient and attentive when taking our orders and made sure our omelettes were made correctly before bringing them to the table. She kept our water glasses full and we never had to ask for anything because she suggested items we may want or need before leaving our table. Kathy had a smile on her face from the time we arrived til the time we left which made for a pleasant dining experience and her upbeat personality paved the way for us to have a wonderful rest of the day!!! We were seated and had to ask for the senior menu. We ordered and the server asked us to repeat our order twice. Went away and came back to clarify our order. Then he brought out our meals I'm not two not three but four trips. My husband had finished his eggs and two pancakes before the bacon arrived. The same drag of food for my meal too. In between the plates arriving we were told in a rather unpleasant manner that the manager wanted us to know he would make an exception but we could bring outside drinks in the restaurant. This was after we were seated and the serever had been to our table numerous times. There is a sign on the front door that is 1/2" high on black take against a black window indicating no outside drinks. When I was paying another server told me again about the outside drinks rule. Food is OK nothing spectacular. The service was terrible and attitude was rude and uncalled for. Not going to make a return trip read more

When I called the manager she said it was a Chile, WTF my meal didn't have any type of Chile's in it. This is an insult. They even charged me for my roach meal. That is fckn gross. People stay away. We tried Brandon's for our first time, I ordered the Huevos Ranchero. The pork meat was super dry with green Chile from a can and the eggs were wet with grease or oil and the beans tasted old with no flavor, with cheese smothered on them.
