The food was so good. Loved the make your own bowl. Many very good toppings and the food was super fresh and tasted healthy.

Located near Grand Central on Third Avenue between 43-44, a great new addition to the neighborhood. They are a franchise with other NY and Toronto locations. Ordered Build Your Own Bowl with: -Base 1/2 quinoa, 1/2 potatoes -Protein roasted chicken -Toppings superfood giant corn, superfood sweety drop peppers (first time eating these, I'm obsessed! Tangy and a little sweet), golden beets -Dressing avocado maca, on the side, loved this. -Blossoms avocados, sweet potato Great ingredients, tons of flavor (personally I would like a little more chicken, but I get it)... super helpful staff, helped answer questions. They have great customer service and I would definitely recommend trying it... with the exception of a few ingredients, I wouldn't automatically think that they are offering Peruvian food, but I'm happy that they introduced me to a new Superfoods experience. Look forward to adding Brasa to my take out rotation. Also got a side of the light lime dressing, minimal added cost... plus a side of tofu on a bed of quinoa and side of roast chicken for extra protein.

The menu is large so there is something for everyone. Various eggs, smoothies, pancakes, salads, sandwiches, bowls and wraps to choose from. We ordered the falafel crunch wrap and chicken pesto sandwich. The wrap was stuffed with fresh veggies. The chicken sandwich was cooked well and quite filling. Both were very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. Great option for a healthy and quick meal!

Here's the rundown: - naan: recommend this, though maybe overhyped myself based on previous reviews. The yogurt sauce was delish, but the bread itself was very good but not mind blowing. - BLT salad: dark horse fav! Tons of flavor and I kept going back for more. Recommend as an app - Union Square bento: honestly, wish this came in a real bento box. Seems like a miss, but I suppose separate plates give you more volume. Good to add as a side to whatever else you get. Cabbage was the best of the trio. - rice bowl: squash and rice were solid, but the shrimp was the standout here! Very flavorful shrimp. Not sure how they packed so much flavor into the little bites of them - fried chicken thighs: I mean, yes. They're juicy. They're fried excellently. The side sauces are creative and great for vinegar-lovers like me I also got the carrot cocktail which was ultra smooth and had the right amount of dill flavor. We got two cookies to go which were divine. I'd get them to stay to try it with the oolong milk next time, but we had to run. The service was friendly, courteous. Ambiance was trendy but not uptight. Would recommend for a nicer night out

When my son told me he'd found an apartment in New York, I was thrilled for him, then he mentioned it was above an Irish bar that stayed open until 4 a.m. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I made plans to help him move in, and not only was I pleasantly surprised, I quickly realized this was one of the nicest neighborhood spots in the city. Great drinks, good food, and consistently friendly service. It has everything you want in a local bar. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and the vibe is just right. A quick FYI...don't let those $5 happy-hour espresso martinis fool you. They're delicious, but they definitely pack a punch. There are great drink specials during the week, and of course, perfectly poured, ice-cold Guinness on tap. Whenever I'm in town and waiting for my son, I stop in and they always remember me. You can't ask for better service than that. If you're anywhere near 29th between Park and Madison, this place is an absolute must-stop.

My cousin recommended this spot, saying it was a great choice if I was looking for something…read morehealthy, and it definitely delivered. The concept is similar to Chipotle, where you build your own meal by choosing a protein, grain, sauce, and toppings. I created a bowl with white rice, caramelized steak, broccoli, and pesto, and paired it with a strawberry mint lemonade. The portion size was enormous--I easily could have stretched it into three meals. Even better, the food tasted just as good as it looked. The pesto added a ton of flavor, and while I usually pair pesto with chicken, it worked surprisingly well with the caramelized steak. The strawberry mint lemonade was also refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. My only criticism is the lack of seating. There are only a handful of stools and one small table, and every seat was occupied when we visited, so we had to take our food elsewhere to eat. If they had a bit more seating, the experience would have been even better. Overall, this was a delicious, healthy meal with generous portions, and I'd gladly stop by again the next time I'm in the area.

And it doesn't have that dead space on the 2nd floor where though there may have been a place for you to sit, didn't mean that you'd necessarily enjoyed yourself there: Chances were that'd you'd have to hear someone's conversation in person or on the phone, as if you were on the subway. None of that here now with 4, albeit generous, seats facing the window: The expectation now is that during the lunch rush, you're going straight back to your desk or, if it's nice outside, sit outside (so a great use of the car-free section of Broadway). I had the Hot Chicken Plate: It was the special for folks with the SG app so I thought, why not. I picked double quinoa, blackened chicken, sweet potato and everything else you can see in my photo. The warm quinoa and the chicken were fantastic: You know SG is making a play for Chipotle's customers by offering what's basically a rice base with a chicken and salad topping. I was not a fan of the spicy broccoli which I found too salty. If you overload your plate with toppings it will easily go over the Chipotle price point: You'll know what's happening now that you have to enter it all in yourself on one of 3 tablets at the counter that divides the public from the kitchen. Can't wait to see the lunch crowd at the new spot!
