Pio Pio just makes me happy--like "smiling at my plate" happy. The chicken is always flavorful and juicy, and the fact that I can get dark meat only? A blessing I didn't know I needed. The rice? Listen... it's so packed with flavor and so filling, it could file its own taxes as a full meal. Whenever I'm craving rotisserie chicken, Pio Pio isn't just my first choice--it's the only choice. My taste buds don't negotiate.

The front looks very humble. When U enter thru the door the aroma of the rotisserie chicken will make UR mouth water.

I had dinner with a friend who recommended this eatery. The place is very small. However, it has a very cozy atmosphere which would be perfect if, you wanted to bring a date. We ordered the full rotisserie chicken with the saffron rice. The chicken was cooked perfectly, it was flavorful, and very tender. I truly enjoyed it. Jessica the server was wonderful, and took good care of us. There will be a next time.

Pio pio never disappoints! I have craved this meal for weeks and so happy I finally treated myself. I got the classics - rotisserie, rice and beans, avocado salad, and their famous green sauce. It is a lot of food for one person but lasts me a few days. The chicken is so flavorful and falls right off the bone. The green sauce is epic and I bought a huge container of it because I knew one small one wouldn't be enough. I've heard of people saving the sauce and using it for other items such as scrambled eggs. Pio pio will always be a staple in my takeout rotations.

Order to go on Valentine's Day ! Lomo salteado (no onions ) but i guess the onions usually take all the space and gave me a whole empty plate but with A LOT of rice and where's the rest of meat ! Smh

Holy crap this place is sooo good! I had high expectations given how popular this spot is among locals but it lived up to the hype. If you're looking for a simple, light yet flavorful dish, this place is perfect. The chicken was falling off the bone and every part of it was so juicy. The green sauce was amazing. We got the fried cam which complemented the savory chicken. The inside is really homey, and the service is great. Highly recommend adding in the fried plantains. Absolutely love this spot and we will definitely be repeat customers!

A great spot for a quick lunch! They offer an amazing lunch special that includes for around $14--definitely a great deal. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. Though the space is narrow, it's a perfect little Pio Pio-style spot.

PROs - food taste , location , price , food quantity CONs - service , ambience , spacing between tables !! 3.5 stars First timer . Wanted to try something new and spotted this restaurant in Google with 4+ review. First of all , it was a little tough to spot this restaurant .. it got lost to the restaurant next door called Babylon :). Wish they had some side boards . Price wise it was ok. Paid about 15 $ for lunch special .. service could be better . The women who took order didn't want to answer me about the menu. I'm new to Peruvian cuisine and didn't know what each food meant . Good was actually delicious . Loved the quarter chicken .. it was really tasty and well made . Salad was ok. Rice and bean was so good . There was very less space between tables .. you are almost sitting very close fo the next table and whatever they speak , you can hear and it's kinda not that good . Just for the food I gave 4 stars . Wanted to give 3 stars but 1 more star for the chef ..

    lunch special.

Came in for a co-worker's birthday lunch and was so pleased with my meal! The service is quick and pleasant. I went with the lunch special which was $14 for a quarter chicken of either dark or white meat, you can choose from a few sides I went with rice and beans . It also came with an avocado salad and a soda. I mean who can beat that ! Especially because the food was piping hot , very fresh and so flavorful that we literally were quiet at the table just enjoying the good food haha . The ambiance is also chill and filled with people working in the area who came in the for the special as well! All in all great experience and hope you check them out !

Pio Pio is fantastic! The restaurant is very homey feeling, with a very basic setting and paper table covers (kids can draw on it!) but the food and service is wonderful. The portions are generous and pricing is reasonable. Not pictured is the full bottle of green sauce given to the table as soon as you're seated. The sauce goes with everything! We ordered ceviche, yuca fries, and half chicken and I'm happy to say everything was delicious and flavorful. The sangria was a massive cupful and super refreshing! This is a great restaurant for a casual dinner with friends or family.

The chicken In the larger pan was a good amount but soooo salty. The small pan to the left was the rice and it was so little.

I was a fan of this place before but we used them to cater our last office party yesterday and it was Terrible! We ordered 4 of the matador combos. They sent us a small pan of rice and the pan was not filled. The chicken was EXTREMELY salty that we had to toss most of it and send out for more from another place nearby. They even skimped up on the salad. I was going to let this go but I received so many complaints about the food quality and portion today which was a day later. Mind you we used them before and it was way better. I called them and not much can be done. I will never order from this place again for neither personal or professional gatherings. we spend over $300 on food and it was nowhere near the amount we should've received.

Super yummy food! The price was not bad especially for the portion. I took it out but they had some seating options at the restaurant, not sure how enjoyable eating in would be since the restaurant is small and delivery drivers are constantly coming in and out. I will definitely order again for a good comfort meal!

Pio Pio has been on my radar for a while, and I finally made it in -- and for the most part, I'm…read morereally happy I did. First, the space: it's genuinely cute. All the seating is downstairs, which gives it a cozy, tucked-away feel that works really well for the vibe of the place. It's the kind of spot that feels casual but intentional -- like someone actually thought about how it should look and feel. Now, the food -- and this is where Pio Pio truly shines. The fried chicken is an absolute standout. It's the kind of dish that makes you stop mid-bite and just appreciate what's happening. Crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked -- but the real star of the show? The cilantro dressing that comes alongside it. I cannot overstate how good this dressing is. It's fresh, bright, and herby in all the right ways, and it elevates the chicken from great to genuinely memorable. If you come here for nothing else, come for this. On the drinks front, they offer a surprisingly solid selection of non-alcoholic options -- which is always a welcome sight. The non-alcoholic wines in particular are worth noting; they have quite a variety, which is rare and appreciated. The drinks are decent overall -- nothing that blew me away, but a solid complement to the meal. The one area where Pio Pio falls short, unfortunately, is the service. We waited quite a while before our waiter came by, and the slow attentiveness continued through the meal. It's a bit of a shame, because the food and ambience really set you up for a great experience -- and sluggish service does take some of the shine off. Hopefully this is something they iron out over time, because everything else here has real potential. Bottom line: come for the fried chicken and cilantro dressing, enjoy the charming downstairs setting, and just mentally prepare yourself to be patient with the service. The food alone makes it worth the visit.

The first thing placed on the table was their famous aji verde, the vibrant green sauce. I couldn't resist dipping my fork in for a taste--spicy, fresh, and absolutely addictive. We ordered a spread that truly showcased the menu: Mama Juanita's rotisserie chicken, perfectly seasoned and juicy; corvina; and a ceviche mixto loaded with shrimp, octopus, calamari, red onions, cilantro, rocoto pepper, and lime juice. It was so refreshing and flavorful that I found myself spooning up every last drop of the citrusy marinade. The lomo saltado was another standout--a savory Peruvian stir-fry with marinated strips of beef, served alongside crispy fries. We also added a side of maduros, their sweetness balancing the meal beautifully. The ambiance was casual, comfortable, and simple, with unique walls decorated in intertwined tree branches that added a rustic touch. The service matched the food--our waiter, the busboy, and the manager were all attentive, engaging, and genuinely friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Dessert was Tres Leches Cake. One bite in, and it basically melts in your mouth- no chewing required. It's sweet, soggy and by the end, you're not sure if you ate cake... or drank it--but either way, no regrets. Overall, it was a memorable meal full of bold flavors, great company, and warm hospitality.

Trusting his wisdom and his consultation with the kitchen, we ordered the beet salad plus the langostino ravioli and the Chilean sea bass. Regrettably, we didnt have time for dessert. So, good reason to go back SOON.
