I stoppped by to order some takeout. The restaurant was small and cosy with a handful of tables. I ordered the pad Thai and it came with a free app of dumplings. The portion size was pretty good for a lunch special and it tasted pretty standard. Service was pretty quick and my order was ready in about ten mins.

Was craving some Thai food during my stay in the Midtown and was looking for a reasonably priced spot then I stumbled upon here. I visited during a weekday dinner time and was able to get a spot however, the restaurant is small so I would imagine it would be quite a wait during busy periods so I would recommend going during more off peak hours. I got the pad thai and pad see ew. Pad Thai: Tasted quite authentic and great flavour. The noodles weren't soggy and tasted amazing. Generous portions served which was a nice surprise. Was definitely a solid pad thai. Pad See Ew: The sauce was a bit too sweet compared to other pad see ews I've had in the past. I wasn't quite a big fan of this one unfortunately compared to the pad thai. They offer quite affordable lunch specials that would be a great spot for locals. Overall, Sukhumvit 51 was a great cozy spot in the Midtown area and would recommend the pad thai.

I ordered take out. Pad see ew noodle Lunch with tofu was pretty big portion for the lunch special. Just that it tastes a little bland for me. If not I will give it 5 star. Vegetable dumpling It was good with they are sauce, the skin is pretty thin. I give 4.5 because the dumpling skin was a little dry. Other than that it was good.

This restaurant is so quaint, calm, and inviting. The service is fast, and our server gave great recommendations. My friend had the drunken man noodles with chicken. I order pad woon sen with tofu and extra vegetables. Everything was delicious. There are no free refills on drinks. I really appreciated that they don't use any plastic, it was all real flatware and glasses. The drinks are presented very neatly, also.

Very friendly, attentive staff. The food was good and came out fast too. I ordered a pad see ew with beef for around $19 before tax and tips, which is a bit too pricey in my opinion. The flavor was good and you're given a lot of noodles. There were slices of broccoli and kale mixed in which was refreshing. The beef was cooked well and not dry.

Sukhumvit 51 is a solid Thai spot in Midtown. I came here with a friend for dinner - although the space is small, they provided great Thai food - your classics but also some special options. Portions were generous and the food came out piping hot. I got the Bangkok noodle which was tasty and the Thai tea which was served in a very aesthetic cup.

(Overall: C) - I had the Pad Thai with Crispy Duck coined "NYPD" on the menu. I thought the Pad Thai tasted pretty good as it was well flavored with those strong flavors and also plentiful. There was also lots of duck that was tender and tasty, although the presentation could be improved. The menu also consists of interesting options like fish with papaya salad in addition to duck pad thai. My only issues with this restaurant was that it was a little cramped and they were a bit sneaky trying to get an unintended double tip. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: -1 Service: -1 Menu: +1 Overall: +0 C Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Pad Thai with tofu - they used white, unfried tofu, what the?!
    Essie L.

We ordered the pad Thai and pad see ew. The pad see ew was normal and not bad, but the pad thai was dry and hard. I got tofu with the pad Thai coz it's my green day, but the tofu was super disappointing too because it's not the fried tofu you usually get at all Thai restaurants. They used white tofu in pad Thai - that's blasphemy!

A delicious little neighborhood gem in Turtle Bay. Great and attentive service and nice and cozy space. A good size menu with lots of delicious options.

However, when I got to the restaurant, I was told that they were not participating. When I brought this up to the staff, they did comment that several people made the same mistake earlier in the week. If that was the case, then why not correct the restaurant week website, or make it very obvious on your website that you aren't participating? Both of us were starving, and I had put in a birthday request at the restaurant, so we decided to stay. The ambiance is classy, and this would be a great spot for a business dinner or date night. I ordered a massaman curry with roti and chicken ($29), and my friend ordered the chuchi shrimp ($30) and curry puff ($16). Prices are a bit above average for the portion size, but justified by the area. We both enjoyed our dishes; the flavors were on point! Then, for my friend's birthday, they gave us mochi ice cream and a card signed by the staff! That was a nice touch that overrode the restaurant week debacle. Service was fantastic. There were multiple check backs and water refills. I would recommend Sabai Thai for a fancy night out, and I would return to try other dishes.
