Was craving some Thai food during my stay in the Midtown and was looking for a reasonably priced spot then I stumbled upon here. I visited during a weekday dinner time and was able to get a spot however, the restaurant is small so I would imagine it would be quite a wait during busy periods so I would recommend going during more off peak hours. I got the pad thai and pad see ew. Pad Thai: Tasted quite authentic and great flavour. The noodles weren't soggy and tasted amazing. Generous portions served which was a nice surprise. Was definitely a solid pad thai. Pad See Ew: The sauce was a bit too sweet compared to other pad see ews I've had in the past. I wasn't quite a big fan of this one unfortunately compared to the pad thai. They offer quite affordable lunch specials that would be a great spot for locals. Overall, Sukhumvit 51 was a great cozy spot in the Midtown area and would recommend the pad thai.

The food was amazing. Very fresh and filling . Me and my companion shared one entree and an appetizer and ordered drinks and we are full to a capacity and not overstuffed. It's a small shop but has a packed ambient. The music is wonderful and the the customer service is quick and subtle.

I ordered take out. Pad see ew noodle Lunch with tofu was pretty big portion for the lunch special. Just that it tastes a little bland for me. If not I will give it 5 star. Vegetable dumpling It was good with they are sauce, the skin is pretty thin. I give 4.5 because the dumpling skin was a little dry. Other than that it was good.

This restaurant is so quaint, calm, and inviting. The service is fast, and our server gave great recommendations. My friend had the drunken man noodles with chicken. I order pad woon sen with tofu and extra vegetables. Everything was delicious. There are no free refills on drinks. I really appreciated that they don't use any plastic, it was all real flatware and glasses. The drinks are presented very neatly, also.

Sukhumvit 51 is a solid Thai spot in Midtown. I came here with a friend for dinner - although the space is small, they provided great Thai food - your classics but also some special options. Portions were generous and the food came out piping hot. I got the Bangkok noodle which was tasty and the Thai tea which was served in a very aesthetic cup.

(Overall: C) - I had the Pad Thai with Crispy Duck coined "NYPD" on the menu. I thought the Pad Thai tasted pretty good as it was well flavored with those strong flavors and also plentiful. There was also lots of duck that was tender and tasty, although the presentation could be improved. The menu also consists of interesting options like fish with papaya salad in addition to duck pad thai. My only issues with this restaurant was that it was a little cramped and they were a bit sneaky trying to get an unintended double tip. -- Food: +1 Presentation: E Price: E Atmosphere: -1 Service: -1 Menu: +1 Overall: +0 C Insta/Beli: @amei_eats

Very friendly, attentive staff. The food was good and came out fast too. I ordered a pad see ew with beef for around $19 before tax and tips, which is a bit too pricey in my opinion. The flavor was good and you're given a lot of noodles. There were slices of broccoli and kale mixed in which was refreshing. The beef was cooked well and not dry.

Pad Thai with tofu - they used white, unfried tofu, what the?!
    Essie L.

We ordered the pad Thai and pad see ew. The pad see ew was normal and not bad, but the pad thai was dry and hard. I got tofu with the pad Thai coz it's my green day, but the tofu was super disappointing too because it's not the fried tofu you usually get at all Thai restaurants. They used white tofu in pad Thai - that's blasphemy!

A delicious little neighborhood gem in Turtle Bay. Great and attentive service and nice and cozy space. A good size menu with lots of delicious options.

Came for early dinner and were seated immediately. Ordered Curry Puffs, Papaya Salad, Pad Thai, and Red Curry. Curry Puff and Papaya Salad were decent. The Pad Thai and Red Curry were wayyy too sweet and hard to enjoy. When the server asked how the food was, I mentioned the sweetness, and she seemed like she has heard this before. She offered salt to compensate but that did not interest us. They do give good-sized portions and reasonably priced. Staff was friendly, but, personally, I would not return because of how sweet the food was. Honestly, it's more like a 2.5 stars but I'm rounding up because of staff, price, and portions.

You only get 90 minutes to dine, but our server was a little generous with that time limit as there wasn't any one waiting when we left. All of the dishes we ordered was good in it's own right. The pork belly fried rice had a hint of sweetness to it. I think it might be tamarind or something. But I could totally be off based. The crispy bits of pork belly added a nice texture. It's nothing like I've ever had before. The short ribs was fantastic. Full of flavor and fall of the bones tender. The papaya salad is something that was very familiar to all of the others I've had. I'm a Thai foodie from California and I really loved SaiTong! The restaurant was busy and I was by…read moremyself so I was happy to sit at the bar, and was attended to by the most sweet bartender ever. Very polite, professional and attentive. I first ordered the crispy spring rolls, which were very good. For my main I had the Massaman Curry. Now folks, this is my favorite curry of all time -- actually one of my favorite foods of all time -- and while it's common in LA where I used to live, it's not as common where I live now, in the Bay Area. And the restaurants that do carry it usually do not make it right and it's not very good. I am used to Massaman in the traditional preparation where it's more like a beef stew made with chunks of beef and needs to cook overnight. When done right it is the most aromatic curry ever -- it's almost like an aphrodisiac! -- and the beef comes out oh so tender. Usually if places have this curry but then offer a choice of protein, then it generally is not cooked properly, and that is actually how they prepare it at SaiTong. But because of such great reviews I decided to take a chance and try it. Well, let me tell you, it was definitely not the norm...it was absolutely delicious! I had it with chicken (they serve breast as default), and the chicken soaked up the curry really nicely. I also asked for there to be no onions, which I think alters the flavor of a curry too much. It does include the traditional potatoes and peanuts, and the potatoes were fine and cut into nice little chunks, the peanuts actually were thrown in raw.. what I think is the more traditional way which is to actually burn the peanuts a little bit, but that's okay, it didn't take down the dish any. Their brown rice is of the very dark kind, which I like, and goes so well with the curry. Service was wonderful from the bartender but was also provided by the rest of the staff and everyone was so nice. I left there feeling so satisfied, and cannot wait to go back and try some other dishes.

My only complaint about SaiTong was my fault -- I wasn't hungry enough to really eat my fill of the…read moredelicious food there! I tried the pad thai, which was excellent -- but ended up ordering the ribs for my meal because I was craving protein. WELL. Ribs were outstanding. But there also was about 90 pounds of them!
