The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the Brussels which were perfectly charred and drizzled with sriracha mayo. So good! I am so so happy that this place is finally open. I live across the street at the apartments so I can literally walk here whenever I want for some bomb food and drinks. I was the first group to ever be seated here at their original pop up. The serving staff is so kind and helpful. However I do think there could be improvements with the hostesses (just feel they could've been more efficient and timely with seating or informing people that they could go outside with no wait). I've only been to two of their several pop ups with limited menus so I can't review the entire menu options. However, the tacos were delicious and the drinks are strong. A bit on the more expensive side for the area but I have little to no complaints on that. The area is perfect and the drinks are awesome. Will definitely be going back. read more

The food did not disappoint and loved the atmosphere. The place was packed and runs along the Elkhart River. Menu is fresh and has great choice. The only downside is that it services many locals and they definitely took priority over a first time diner. I was never asked if I wanted another drink or a refill of water. BUT I would still go there again but will be prepared to speak up better!!! read more

Finally someone nailed this location! Located right on the river downtown across from bandshell in Central Park. I came for Sunday brunch. I had a Breakfast Smash - burger w/ egg and bacon. Of the beers the Selmer Saison, Beardsley Brown, and Wandering Wapiti stood out. If you're from Elkhart you'll like the subtle references to Elkhart history: brass instruments, Elk, and industry. Very comfortable and trendy without the hipster nonsense you find at some brew pubs. Well done!! read more

Ordered steak it was the toughest steak I've ever had in my life. Not too sure if it was the cut or if the cook had never made a steak in his life. Took the steak back and the managers response was it's gonna come out the same way and we're not Ruth Chris. Not too sure who hired him but definitely should be reconsidered. Same goes for the dumb hostesses and servers who had no idea what sauce came with our steak when we were missing that as well. And don't expect to get any silverware or napkins with your Togo. read more

Was treated like a burden by the hostess when we arrived at 9 p.m. on a Saturday. She rolled her eyes and said the kitchen closed at 9 but they were open until 10, and said we could get drinks at the bar. We walked to the bar and they said "no, sorry, we're closing," and kicked out our group and two other groups an hour before their posted closing time, and right after they told us they were open another hour. Have been coming to this restaurant for a couple of years now. Has always had its up and downs but seems to be finally finding its stride. On my latest visit everything from top to bottom was fantastic. We came in on a busy friday night as a table of 6. Were sat within 5 minutes and had drinks in front if us less than 5 minutes later. The bartender Ryder was incredible. Had great knowledge of the menu as well as a cocktails in general. He treated us like his favorite guests and this is the first time ive had him serve me there. Will definitely be coming back soon to try out the new menus. Very excited to have this place as a go to read more

I visit my parents here from Denver. This was my favorite restaurant in Elkhart but it's under new ownership. It went from having creative, sophisticated cuisine to being so-so bar food. I guess I should have believed then when they described their ''handhelds" as "hot mess" sandwiches. I got the one vegetarian sandwich on the menu, which was roasted portabella with goat cheese and roasted red pepper. Sounds good but it was an epic fail. First, it was this weird rectangular shape, which was impossible to hold without everything falling out. The goat cheese was liquid, making it so messy that you had to eat it with a fork. The bread, which wasn't particularly tasty, was soaking wet from the oozy portabellas which hadn't quite released their liquid. And the roasted red pepper was missing. The accompanying French dries were limp. This place used to have perfect fries. No more. These were sad, sad fries. My dad liked the sticky Thai chicken sandwich but he will eat anything. We had appetizer chicken tacos which were probably the best thing but they were nothing heavy and nothing special. Such a disappointment. It went from being packed on a Friday night to almost empty. Most of the people there were at the bar. So, maybe come here for a drink and then leave and eat somewhere else. read more

First time here visiting the city. I had my first fried chicken with waffles. It was exciting to try this but the thick juicy chicken is kind of undercooked for me. Nice looking place with a large outdoor patio. I ordered the Alphabuck Amber and couldn't finish it. The chicken street tacos were good. The loaded fries quite the opposite. Lots of fries but not sure about the loaded part. There was some cheese drizzled at the bottom of the bowl and a few bacon crumbles on top. Again, couldn't finish it. We met up with friends who picked this place. We had patio seating...warm and a light wind and a river view, so perfect. We had very attentive waiters throughout even though it got quite busy. The Ahi Nachos were so good! Others in our group said their choices were also good. Nice selection of drinks and a 'monthly margarita--triple berry'', that was a hit. We've tried Brass Elk Brewing a couple of times. This time was disappointing. Slow service and they weren't very busy. The fish and chips were very blah. The French fries were tasty but very greasy. The fish had absolutely no flavor to it at all. Cheese curds were delicious and so was the sauce served with it. The side salad is spring greens with white balsamic dressing. Very tasty but nothing else than a very small portion even for a side salad served in a little bitty bowl. It would be nice to see a few onions or carrots in it or a little shredded red cabbage. We might try again as other items on the menu were much better. read more

The ambiance is nice, patio dining downtown on the River. The waiter was nice enough but lacked the skills. Took quite a long time to acknowledge we were even there. Had to continually remind him to bring something-that's if you could find him. Started w appetizer and the chips were VERY stale. He did bring more out apologizing-'didn't know the bag was open so long'. Ordered a burger and mushroom sandwich. The burger was good but the sandwich was just ok, esp for the price. We really wanted to like this place. After seeing Hydraulic Ale go out so quickly, we had our hopes this place would be better. The staff seems friendly enough but there are some glaring issues with this restaurant. First of all, running out of drinking glasses is a bad sign. Either order planning is out whack, or the dishes are piled up. Either way, having the waitress come back to grab our glasses for a refill, and leaving us to wonder if we were drinking out of our original glass is honestly kind of gross. Second major issue....no kids menu. There's not even a lot of choices to try and make something work. Third issue....the only "cheese" this place uses is Velveeta! That's not even cheese! Food is delivered on little metal trays, which mine had sauce dripped down the side that I didn't notice until I leaned in to take a bite and got sauce all over the front of my shirt. My son was sick to his stomach after just a couple bites of food. I was nauseated by the time we got home. For the prices this place charges I expected so much more. Even my husband was very underwhelmed and he usually likes nearly everything. There are much better places, with much higher quality ingredients and more reasonable prices in and around Elkhart. I wish them success but we just can't imagine trying this place again. read more

My wife, daughter and myself were there for dinner tonight. We really like the place and the food, normally. Tonight we each had burgers, I had the smash burger, the ladies had the breakfast smash burger. Worse burger I've had in a long time. The beef had zero flavor. The condiments were the only saving grace. Not sure if they've gotten their beef from a different place or what? It's not our first time getting burgers here either. Normally their juicy, seared edges, lots of flavor. Tonight, not so much. Very disappointed because we were all craving a good burger. Our appetizers were great!
