$17K May 8th for a new system. Today is May 26th. The system doesn't work properly. We have had a bunch of technicians out (very nice, but my system still doesn't work properly). Most of them feel it's the thermostat. We are on our 3rd or 4th try of the same thermostat. My husband and one of the technicians said to try a different brand or style. Clearly the one they kept bringing doesn't work with our system. One tech offered to go back and get the other type. Dispatch said NO. It wasn't in the notes. The technician that had been out previously DID put it into the notes, dispatch just didn't include it in the notes to the next team. We reached out to the sales person Steve. He said he was going to make sure we had someone out this weekend (Memorial Day weekend). He even said he talked with the VP and it would be handled. So we changed our weekend plans. My husband missed a Memorial Ceremony honoring my uncle in Eugene. We didn't hear from them. A courtesy call to say they wouldn't be out would have been better than the empty promises we have been given. Years ago we used them. We probably won't in the future. But what do they care. I already have a new 200A breaker configured for 240V/60A power, yet Wolfers quoted $5,317, nearly five times what this work should reasonably cost, and declined to provide an itemized breakdown. Before receiving the quote, the technician presented a financing offer, describing it as "assistance in the event the upfront cost is out of budget." The terms were $63.80 per month for 180 months, totaling $11,484 over 15 years. In my opinion, this reflects a grossly predatory business practice that warrants review by the local BBB and potentially the FTC. Damaged Radiator Fins - Poor Quality Control I purchased and installed an AC unit + furnace from Jered Henderson with Wolfer's. The day after installation, we noticed the inner radiator fins of the AC unit came damaged. Size of the dent was a few inches wide and Wolfer's stated that this is normal for units to come with damaged radiator fins and it wouldn't affect the functionality. Pictures attached below show the before and after repair. Considering we paid over $23,782 for the AC unit, furnace, and full installation I would expect a product come UNDAMAGED. After contacting Wolfer's they sent a repair person to take a look and made the damaged area even larger. In the process of "fixing" the dent, they also left metal shavings, a loose screw, and other debris INSIDE of the AC unit. They sent another person 2 weeks later to remove the debris but they said there was nothing else they could do. It's been over a week since I've emailed them and we are still waiting to hear back from somebody. At the time we were debating between repairing our furnace or getting new units. I regret spending the money for a damaged product and wouldn't recommend Wolfer's. I'm very disappointed that Costco and Lennox backs this company because so far the product and services we received have been poor. ========================================================= Edit: I received a response from my review on Google asking to call. I called and they stated a manager would call me back. The manager ended up calling me back the next day and offered complementary extended annual maintenance for an extra 5 years. She was very understanding and reassured me that the unit is still functional and that the warranty is affected by the damage. I'm overall satisfied by this solution, but this whole process took up a lot of time after reaching out on multiple occasions. Further quality control and inspection is needed on units prior to installation. I've added an extra star to the rating because my issue was resolved. I have never written a negative review, and I want to start by saying that I previously had a positive experience with Wolfer's when they installed an A/C system in my home. That project went well, which is why I trusted them again. A month ago, I needed to remove all galvanized pipes from my house and received four comparable quotes. Wolfer's plumber explained that my home was an easy project for his apprentice and that if I signed up for their Maintenance Plan, I would receive 15% off . It was just a line in their quote "Whole House Repipe." Before signing, I called the project manager, Garrett C., several times to clarify materials, warranties, and scope. Based on those conversations, I understood that all galvanized pipe would be removed, with the only optional item being shower valve replacement. I was told this was optional and I did not need to replace the valves, especially since they knew that others were charging 10K to 11 K, with valves included. So I was even told by Wolfers's that I didn't need to replace valves. (What they didn't say, and found after the project was done was that they would be leaving galvanized pipes, and that the valves will be left hanging. When I signed up, I thought that when they meant Whole house repipe, was removing all galvanized. But they said that Shower Valves, which I understand was just that encompassed the pipes attached to the shower valve. After Project was completed, I called the project manager, and he couldn't answer why there was galvanized pipe left on the bathrooms. He had to call the plumber to obtain clarification, which tells me that not even the project manager understood the situation. Throughout the project several untruthful statements were made by Wolfer's from the small to the large. From plumbers arriving at different times because they had a "meeting" to leaving galvanized behind. In addition, the valves are now left dangling inside the walls, and the drywall removed by the apprentice was cut incorrectly and never repaired by the second plumber. When I contacted another project manager, I was told that Garrett's wife was in the hospital and that this was why communication had been delayed. While I sympathize with anyone facing a family emergency, I also have my own health challenges, and throughout this process I have not felt any empathy or accountability from the company. There was also an issue with the financing. I had been approved for a loan, and when the loan company called to verify completion, I informed them that the job was not complete. I was assigned a reviewer who understood the situation but said nothing could be done on their end. The following week, I received an email from another PM, Mike D., stating that the loan had been transferred and that I now needed to pay Wolfer's directly and in the full amount. However, when I contacted the loan company, they still showed that I owed GreenSky. I am able to pay the invoice, but the lack of clarity and the conflicting information added unnecessary stress on top of an already difficult situation. Overall, I chose Wolfer's because I trusted them and believed I was getting a complete whole-house repipe. Instead, galvanized pipes were left in place, the valves were left unsecured, drywall was damaged, and communication was inconsistent and confusing. This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially given my previous positive experience with the company. read more

If you are reading this 1-star review after you called Wolfer's Plumbing and experienced some of the same things I did, I'm sorry!!! You are not alone!!! We need to fight back at excessive price gouging to the everyday consumer. We need to stop this practice of upselling (your plumber has incentives), price gouging, and being talked into their "WVP membership" (Plumber are also incentivized to sell) that just gets them out there to gouge you more. For those of you looking to see if customers have had bad experiences with Wolfer's: PLEASE READ THIS!!! No matter what, do not use this company for plumbing!! I repeat, do not use Wolfer's! First: There are "NO FREE QUOTES"! NONE! They will charge $99 you to overprice their services. Even if you sign up for the year commitment WVP service, they will charge you $49! Second: They are NOT a "time and material company"!!! They use a "PRICE BOOK" to estimate your quote. "PRICE BOOK" is a fancy way to build in costs that the overall company runs on. They say they make a 10% net profit. If you want to contribute to their entire company's success $$$$, go ahead and use them. You will be sticker shocked when they give you the quote!! Story: I found a water leak in my crawl space. My hot water was leaking from a 1 inch CPVC elbow that was accessible from my crawl space. I called Wolfer's Plumbing on a Saturday to come out to see if they could fix my hot water leak. They arrived on Sunday and fixed the repair. That was the good part, they fixed my issue. Disclosure: I admit this is partly my fault / uneducated in the practices I'm now talking about. I signed a quote without knowing the true extent of the repair. I assumed Wolfer's were like most reputable companies that charge by the Hour (Labor) and material and so I signed a quote for $2549.00. After the plumber left, I felt I was taken advantage when I researched how much the average plumber charges for time and material for the same job. The quote lines were: 1. Repair 1" Plastic Water Line: $1025.00 2. Repair 1" Plastic Water Line: $759.00 3. 2 Gallon Expansion Tank install: $765.00 Work done: Technician truck arrived at my house 8:16 am and was done with the repair and left at 10:16 am same day. (I have timestamps from my security camera). 1. For #1 and #2 Plastic water lines (in the same location): a. Material used: (Home Depot prices May 2026) i. Two 1" SharkBite elbows couplings (2 x $25 each) = $50 ii. Two 1" SharkBite straight couplings (2 x $20 each) = $40 iii. Two 3' PEX-A ("Call it" 10 feet of Pex-A) = $20 b. Time it took to replace: (24 minutes of actual work replacing the lines) c. Cost: $1784 2. For the #3 issue: 2 Gallon expansion tank: a. Material used: (Home Depot prices May 2026) i. 2 Gallon expansion tank = $50 ii. ¾ inch brass Tee and 2 foot brass extension arm for plumbing = (Generous $80) b. Time: 35 minutes of actual work installing the tank. c. Cost: $765 3. My calculation for time and material of the total: $2549.00 a. Material = $240 b. Time (2 hours) = $2309 ($1,154.50 an hour) 4. I called the next business and stated my case of being overcharged (see below), and they gave me a $500 discount. a. My total bill for 2 hours of plumbing was $2,049.00 b. My estimate I paid after I stated my case is $904 an hour. I called the company the next business day to ask the manager why the price is so high. I asked for a breakdown of how much they charge an hour and list of materials used. (Seemed reasonable). The pluming manager Mike explained to me all the above that they use PRICEBOOK and not time and material and NO, will not give out the numbers. He asked me what I was looking for and I said a reasonable amount that most plumbers charge. It was a Sunday and they did arrive the next day. I said charge me a "reasonable" about most time and materials charge for a Sunday morning. I asked for reasonable $1000 off. They said they could give me $500 off my bill. So I paid $2,049 total, when called a local plumber (MT PLUMBING IN Hillsboro) said they would do it all for under $800 total time and material. Lessons Learned!!! I am deeply disappointment with the service I received from Wolfers. On Thursday afternoon, an HVAC specialist named Ryan was sent to my home. He took one look at my thermostat, told me, "I don't do thermostats--save yourself $99," and left within a minute. Three days later, on January 30, a Limited Journeyman arrived from Kelso, WA. I was never informed that someone would be coming from out of state; had I known, I never would have agreed to the appointment. When he arrived, he brought a rotary thermostat but completely neglected to check my 19-year-old Cadet heater. I asked him to bring a different model, because the programmable thermostat he provided turned out to be incompatible with my heater. He failed significantly to ensure the system was actually functional, staying less than 15 minutes before leaving. When I asked for an invoice, he claimed Wolfers doesn't provide them. When I asked for his CCB license, he simply said he used the company's. Despite already being charged $282 on my account, the company told me it would cost another $175. Since I didn't have time to get a cashier's check from my bank, I felt pressured into giving him $175 in cash. As a senior woman, I feel completely taken advantage of by this unprofessional behavior. This experience did not meet their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, and I will request a refund from Wolfer's of the $175 via check or cashier's check. read more

Quick response to my request for service $99 service fee to come out and diagnose Upon arriving and review the plumber called me to tell me it was a very simple fix for the bathroom sink fix. For kitchen sink the basin just needed to be tightened up to granite and sealed and he would include that at no extra charge. Then he proceeded to tell me that to do the simple fix to the bathroom sink replacing the stopper mechanism would be $900!!!!!! If it were my house I'd send him away but it was for my tenants and I didn't want them to wait. He then called me back to say oh and I couldn't fix the kitchen sink because screws were stripped but no reduction in $900 charge. Never use these people. They clearly think it's ok to charge outrageous prices once they are onsite. One and done for me. They obviously don't see the value of repeat business. read more

We purchased a complete HVAC and water heater installation in August of 2025: 1) The salesperson quoted us a price and told us it was only good for that day...which was a lie. Their actual quote says 3 days on the sales document. We felt pressured and signed the deal (our fault). 2) The HVAC installation crew was scheduled for 12 hours, which was not enough time so they were rushed and resulted in an unprofessional implementation. They had to come back and spend another day fixing their first install. 3) When the plumber came to replace our old water heater, he did not have the right kind of new heater. So another Wolfer's employee had to deliver the correct heater. Poor internal communication apparently. 4) We had to have Wolfer's come out and redo parts of both the HVAC and water heater installations. For the price we paid it should have been done right the first time. 5) Bottom line, we have a nice system but the sales and installation processes left us with a bad taste...both processes were painful. We used wolfers because they are Lennox dealers. If you want Lennox I'd recommend getting a quote from other company's as well! read more

My furnace was running and then stopping. I had Wolfers come out on a $99 service special. The two techs said I had a cracked heat exchanger (along with some rust on it) , needed a new induction motor (because it had a slight squeal) and a new blower motor (because it had a small amount of oil on the bearing area). They quoted me $11,000 for the repair but told me I could pay $137 a month for 15-years. This would be $24,660......... I have since done research on these financing contracts and it appears multiple pages with lots of fine print which liens on properties for the amount. Be aware of this fraud and theft in my opinion. The tech sent over a report including pictures which I never did see a crack or rust. The system was actually fixed by flipping the main electrical panel breaker off and back on. I did several checks of the HVAC system which included a flame rollout test and a match flame test. The rollout test showed no flame rollout and the two flames were perfectly straight and blue. The match test with the blower motor on but the system off showed no fluctuation of the match flame. These two tests were evidence of no cracks in the heat exchanger. The system is still running fine and needed nothing. Beware of this company or any other company that is trying to get you to sign a contract especially a contract of 15 years because it could result as a lien put on your property. read more

It has been less than a year, and this is now the second time the AC has stopped working--the previous failure occurred in April, and once again today, the system is not functioning. When I contacted service center, I was told that no technician is available to come out today. This is particularly frustrating given that, during installation and in your advertising, Mr. Allen Burchell emphasized same-day service availability as a key benefit. After a thorough inspection I was shocked to see an estimate of over $10,000! The next day I had another well respected electrical company come by and give me an additional estimate. Very disappointing! Spent almost $40k on two new systems for my home and one has had issues since being installed. It is now January and they have made multiple service calls and it is still not operating properly. I learned on their last attempt to repair my brand new heat pump that they failed to install a filter with the unit and it now constantly freezes. What would you call that? They don't return calls when they say they will and we are now another week with no heat in January. This morning-one of their technicians-Braden H. came over to our home to provide a safety check of our water heater, toilets, faucets, pipes & water pressure. Braden was polite, professional and thorough. We ended up needing to replace the wax seal on one of our toilets. Our water heater, installed in 2009, is starting to show signs of its age. Braden provided a couple of replacement options that we will consider after the holiday season. Bottom line-we got a problem corrected and solid insights on replacing our water heater with a new unit. We are renonating our home and wanted to change from an electric range to a gas range and asked to have a gas line installed for our new gas range. NW Gas sent me a list of approved vendors to choose from and when I saw Wolfer's on the list it was a no brainer. We had them install an AC and a more efficient gas heater back in 2021 and we do yearly maintenance with them as well and are very pleased with their services. So today, Matt Febus came out thinking he was just going to give us an estimate and we thought he would be installing (so a bit of a misunderstanding) and Matt went above and beyond to make us happy. Not only did he give us an estimate which was agreeable, he made the time to do the job as well AND he found a gas leak on our hot water heater and fixed that too! What an amazing person. Matt is a down to earth kind of guy with a great sense of humor and great people skills. Nothing was a big deal and he got the job done quickly too. When booking with Wolfer's I tried to get a basic estimate of what sink and shower snaking would cost and they "couldn't" give me any type of estimate. This was because it all depended on how the drain and shower worked. Very understandable statement; however, I tried to just get any number for basic, no extra issues, snaking and they didn't budge. $99 to come out and tell me that is would be over $500 to just to snake of my shower and sink drain (very mild clogging). They obviously have the prices set because he told me immediately what it would cost but instead they didn't want to give me an estimate over the phone because they knew how outrageous of a price it was. Do not recommend for basic plumbing needs. 500+ for standard snaking and the shady business behavior. Just be up front about your pricing! read more

we are new in town and had a plugged toilet. we found Wolfer's online and called them. they sent two employees who spent about 15 minutes trying to fix our plumbing issue. in the end, they left us with the same problem and charged us $200 for absolutely nothing but a really dumb suggested solution. their proposed solution (yes, I know this sounds insane) was to purchase a new toilet -- for which they would install it for ~$1.5K. i would never, ever recommend them. it seemed obvious to me that they didn't know much (if anything) about plumbing. Our problem was resolved by another *real* plumber, who resolved our problem (no we did not buy another toilet), and the solution cost about the same as what we paid Wolfer's. unless you want to throw the dice, hire a real plumber. in my opinion, these guys aren't worth it. read more

I needed a new flow valve for my toilet. I called Wolfer's and they were able to come the next day. The technician checked the job and quoted me $400.00 which included the cost of a new connection line. I had already purchased a new flow valve. He said the job would take 30 minutes. I decided to find a handy person instead. I had to pay $99 for the five minute evaluation. Dang, that would be nearly $800 an hour. I sure chose the wrong profession. RIPOFF ALERT! They are trying to charge people $989.94 for a SINGLE DAMPER ACTUATOR that retails for $102.59 on Amazon. (see photo) I am sure they get these things wholesale, so I'm estimating the markup to be well over 1000%. And the labor to install one of these actuators is one screw and two wires, it literally takes 2 minutes to install one of these. I replaced three old actuators myself and it took me 15 minutes for the entire job. I am just stunned that they tried to charge me $2969.82 for this! It's totally outrageous. My central air quit on me and because it was so old I knew it needed to be completely replaced. I reached out through the Costco services program. So Wolfers come out to give me an estimate for a new central air unit. I have to say I really expected a better experience considering it was through Costco. I really thought Costco would be better at vetting who they hire for their services. Their $33,000 bid was a slap in the face. my home is one level, less than 1400 ft. I couldn't believe they even looked at me with a straight face. I cannot absolutely cannot find anything good about my experience with them and I will never use them. read more

We called Wolfers for air conditioning spring start up. They told me that because our air conditioning system is under 10 years old they wouldn't do the servicing. I thought that was very strange because l see them on the T V running commercials all the time. I was told they just want to,sell new units and not do any repairs on older units. I would never call them with an older system because all they want to do is sell you a new system. When l need a new system l will call the one that serves my old one. First of all the good stuff, everyone I dealt with was very pleasant and professional. For a brief moment, I thought I may have found my new go to service company. Now the bad. Thursday evening heard a strange sound in the kitchen and after a quick investigation, decided to look under the house and sure enough there was water spraying everywhere. Unfortunately, it was after 5 PM and when I looked online the only company that was still open was Wolfers. I called and spoke to a very nice lady on the phone, but they were unable to come out until morning, so I went ahead and shut off the water. Because the lady was so pleasant and easy to deal with I decided to stay with them, although I had used local companies with success in the past. The next day their technician came out just before noon and assed that I had a shark bite connection that had failed and he was going to cut it out and solder a T into the copper lines. I was relieved because I knew that was a pretty quick and easy job. He then went to his truck and came back with his phone and showed me the estimate and it was $1200! That's not a typo it really was $1200. I really wanted to just send him on his way, but since it was already Friday afternoon, I figured by the time I got anybody else on the phone, they probably wouldn't be able to make it out till Monday and really didn't want to go without water For the entire weekend so I just went ahead and paid it. I have owned a house for over 30 years and of course had many repair people out for various issues, but I have never felt as completely robbed as I felt that day. The job literally took an hour And parts were almost nothing. When I talk to the follow up representative the next day, I stated I hadn't received the receipt I was supposed to get in the email because I would really like to see the breakdown. He stated there was no breakdown anymore. They just charged a flat fee which was industry standard. I don't blame them. There is no way they could justify that in a breakdown. I don't normally write reviews, but I have been angry about this for days now and I am making sure that every family, friend and neighbor knows about this. And me and my wife deal with quite a few people every day so we are making sure we pass the word on about what happened to us. Hopefully in the long run that $1200 cost them a lot more and of course I will never call that number again. UPDATE: I called the number from their reply last week. I was told someone would contact me Friday. Nothing. I guess they do the reply so people reading the reviews think they actually care and do want to rectify the issue. Sadly not true. I never post reviews but I feel I have an obligation to the community. Wolfers is the company that Costco contracts with for heating and Air systems. I went with them because Costco has always been good about only working with the best companies. Not the case with this Wolfers! Install last year went horribly bad. When the system was installed they did not check to ensure that it was working properly before leaving the job. It was Summer last year and hot! When I called them to come back out I was told they couldn't come out to look at it for several weeks knowing I had company coming for a family event and staying with me. I had to race out to buy portable air conditioners to get by with no offer to help or to provide any. When they finally came back out the unit was determined defective and they had to replace it and install additional piping that they should have done the first time! They showed no empathy or remorse for their bad work or my situation. This month I scheduled their REQUIRED annual checkup which will maintain the warranty and to no surprise they cancelled 4 hours into the 8 hour window they gave me! I was called at noon to say they needed to reschedule as there were customer emergencies that took priority today. It's not hot today so I am not sure what would be an emergency. There is no need to the air or heat on. I was told by a technician that they only have a few people that cover the area for servicing and are stretched to service. This is NOT an honest company and the salesman will tell you to call him anything goes wrong but will not return a call. I wish I hD not paid them in full! Beware! Working with Wolfer's has been a nightmare from start to (unfortunately) present. We had to replace our entire HVAC system--new heat pump and indoor air handler--and went with Wolfer's because of their supposed good reputation. Big mistake. The salesperson was pushy, borderline rude, but we were desperate and figured a reputable company would at least provide quality work. They haven't. When installation day came, they spent all day installing the system but left without confirming if it worked. It didn't. Our home stayed freezing cold--on one of the coldest days of the year. We had to call them back out just to get the brand-new system running. Red flag number one. Then we discovered they had removed structural wood around our attic trusses without telling us. We brought this up, and their response was basically gaslighting: "It looks the same as our before pictures." Yet they wouldn't show us their before pictures. If you're so confident in your "before" pictures, why not share them? Then they sent out a contractor to replace structural wood they claimed they didn't touch. So either they did damage something, or they're randomly sending people to do phantom repairs. Fast-forward to yesterday: now the system has stopped cooling altogether--on the hottest day of the year. We called first thing this morning (a Monday), and were told the soonest someone could come is Tuesday. So here we are, again, suffering in a house with a $23,000 HVAC system that doesn't work. That's five separate service visits for one brand-new system. Five. And no end in sight. We now have a shiny, overpriced, dysfunctional heat pump that does nothing but take up space and drain our bank account. Save yourself the stress, frustration, and literal discomfort. Wolfer's has shown reputation, but so far hasn't shown reliability. Also worth mentioning - check out the discrepancy between their ratings on google vs yelp vs angie's list. It's pretty clear they groom their google reviews because it's easier done there than other platforms. read more

We were customers for several years and on the maintenance plan for HVAC yearly servicing. Every year they came, a repair was always recommended, we trusted them, we did the repair. Until this las visit for a routine maintenance service where they recommended an entire new HVAC system! They original system is 12 yrs old which had been maintained regularly. Here comes the kicker, they quoted almost $50,000 for a new system and we were pushed to act now or the price may go up. After a restless night of sleep we decided to get a second opinion. Apollo came in and inspected our system and said a replacement is not necessary, in fact no repairs needed. Sorry Wolfer's you lost my trust. I will never be a customer again.
