    Peach arugula salad

The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a wonderful staff. The energy of the place was vibrant and Happy loved the music in the decor. Our waiter Jacob was probably one of the best waiters I've had in all my worldly travel. He was kind ,attentive, and a master at his craft. We started with two beautiful salads the watermelon salsa with whipped ricotta cheese was outstanding and the peach grape candied, walnuts, and chèvre was outstanding! The main attraction of the pizza was perfect. I highly recommend this establishment for business dining ,date nights and family gatherings. Every staff member was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Chewy perfect crust, simple flavorful salads. Beautiful patio. This hit the spot for a pizza date night. Drinks are pricey but you're in the heart of old town

My husband and I saw an episode of Check Please! and this was one of the restaurants that was featured on that show. It looked so good that my husband and I made reservations immediately and decided to take my brother there for an early dinner. We loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. I ordered one of the white pizzas and it had prosciutto mozzarella, garlic, and spicy sausage and it was delicious! My husband had the pork chop, which was huge! They pounded it down until the pork chop was very thin and then they fried it and topped it with a Sunday sauce and mozzarella cheese! My husband loved it! My brother had some sort of pasta with a vodka sauce and that was outstanding! We started the meal with an appetizer of meatballs. They were so tender and flavorful and huge! It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place!

A double invite brought me to Pizzeria Virtù for an unforgettable media night experience, where the art of true Napoletana pizza takes center stage. Chef Gio has crafted a menu that's both simple and elevated- every bite rooted in tradition, bursting with fresh ingredients, and echoing the flavors of Italy right here in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. It's giving: wood-fired perfection, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and flavors your taste buds won't soon forget.

Lucania, Old Fashioned and cant remember the name of my drink

Came here around 6pm on Wednesday after grabbing appetizers and drinks elsewhere cuz we were craving pizza. It wasn't too busy at the time. We sat at the bar and ordered cocktails and a pizza. Our bartender was pretty cool and chatted with us. Everyone in there was friendly, even the guests sitting next to us! Our order: Old Fashioned Cocktail similar to Gianna Lucania pizza We usually go for Margherita pizza but went with something different this time. We both liked the flavor of the Lucania! I normally like my pizzas saucy but for a thin crust, this amount was good. The cocktail that was made for me was good. They weren't able to sub the liquor in one of the drinks on the menu since it was a premade batch but he said he could make something similar. Chill spot! I would come back again and try the Margherita next time

Came here again last night as a date night before I headed overseas for meetings for a week. Had the meatballs and the buffala & prosciutto appetizers - both delicious and very well presented. Shared a wood fired pizza and a bottle Italian red wine.. was all perfect. Olive oil cake for dessert. Service was amazing and now the heat is lower at night, we enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Definitely a great spot with authentic quinine and great service. Don't expect a huge selection of options on the menu - these are well curated and thought out dishes that are masterfully prepared cooked. Do yourself a favor- just go!

This Burrata dish was phenomenal! (11/23/2024)

A nice Italian pizza/pasta restaurant in Old Scottsdale. Small inside with a cute bar, and great outdoor patio seating. Each table has its own heating lamp tilted toward the table guests, which was nice and gave off just the right amount of heat to keep us warm but not hot. The menu is very short and succinct: A curated list of starters, 4-5 olive oil based pizzas and about the same number of red sauce pizzas; a few pasta dishes. Full bar using higher quality liquor, too. Our party of three started with their Bruschetta app, and it was very good. The tomatoes were fresh, great flavor (not tarty!). The roasted garlic cloves and almond slivers went so well. Wish the baguette were warmer (fresher out of the oven), but it wasn't too bad. The five stars is for their Burrata starter dish. It was phenominal. The. Best. Burrata. I've. Had. To. Date. The inside was creamy and not runny and paired perfectly with the prosciutto and figs they braise in a sweet red wine sauce. I could easily eat this protein-packed dish three times a day for the foreseeable future, the flavor profile was that decadent. We all shared two pizzas, Milano and Patate, and both were excellent. Wood fired, thin base with airy and flavorful crust, delicious toppings on olive oil (I'm not much for tomato/red sauce). Each had great flavor profiles. A heads-up: Parking in Old Scottsdale can be a bit tricky on weekends, so make sure you account for extra time looking for street parking or free/paying lots. We spent about 10-15 minutes driving around, so know your options.

Torta - olive oil cake topped with apricots, whipped cream, and marcona almonds

We came in for a late dinner and I immediately loved the vibe. The outdoor seating looked very relaxing for a nice evening out, but I'm glad we actually got seated inside, where it was the perfect balance of lively, cozy, and intimate. We loved our server, Garrett, who was friendly and had great suggestions for food and wine. We got the ragu (rigatoni with pork rib ragu, garlic, basic, and burrata) and the affumicata pizza (charred tomato, smoked scamorza (cheese), garlic, and basil). I thought the ragu was pretty good, but the star of the show was the affumicata pizza. My friend couldn't stop thinking about and talking about it, even after dinner. It was like he had an out of body experience while he was eating it and he savored every last bite. For dessert, we had the torta, which was an olive oil cake, topped with apricots, whipped cream, and marcona almonds - yum! Throughout the dinner, we had a front row view of the guy making the pizzas. He didn't seem rushed at all in making the pizzas, it was like his form of relaxation. The name of the restaurant sounded familiar, so I looked it up. It's by the same owner of Virtu Honest Craft, which is a restaurant in the same area. I would come back and order the pizza.

A nice experience, and a tasty pizza. Was it the best pizza I've ever had, no... but ambiance and service give this restaurant,

    Spilinga
    Camille D.

My favorite pizza right now. Came here for date night and never fails. The quality of the pizza is unmatched and I've tried a few different kinds the times we have come here. Our most favorites are the spilinga and diamanté. The spilinga has this spreadable spicy Italian sausage that is just so so good. The diamanté is a white pizza with prosciutto on top. Another one I liked a lot was the potato pizza and the ny ish pizza. The potato pizza does indeed have potatoes which is surprisingly really good mixed with garlic and rosemary. The ny ish pizza is a cheese pizza. For apps our fave is the burrata. A must try! Their olive oil cake for dessert was just okay. The service is always great here. They even recommended wines to pair with the pizzas. Overall would highly recommend

Coach House is a year-round Christmas-themed bar. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, a block or two away from Fifth Avenue, there's a parking lot that was pretty full when I arrived. If you can't find a spot, you can find some free street parking close by (max of three hours). Ambiance (4/5): A lot of holiday pop-ups these days have entrance fees and expensive holiday-themed cocktails. You'll find none of that pretentiousness here. There's no entrance fee and no elaborate cocktails. The reason to visit is the multitude of Christmas lights that adorn both the patio and the indoor area. There are also a bunch of TVs which makes it a good spot to check out the game. It's mostly a patio bar, but there is some room indoors too. As well as Golden Tee and another game. Service (4.5/5): There's a bouncer checking your ID before you come in. From there, there's a larger bar inside where you can order a drink from one of two bartenders (at least when I was there) or a smaller outdoor bar with one bartender (at least when I was there). There's a cash discount (which I always appreciate). What that means is that they don't charge you tax if you pay by cash. While the bar was busy, the bartenders working were efficient. Food (N/A): Coach House doesn't serve food but they did have a Mexican food truck posted up on the patio while I was there. I didn't have any food during my visit though. Drinks (N/A): Since The Coach House is a dive bar, expect a full bar, but don't expect fancy cocktails. Ordering simple mixed drinks or beer is the way to go. They were out of Montucky Cold Snacks so I went with a Woodchuck Cider for $6. Affordable prices in the heart of Scottsdale... I'll take that any day of the week! Speaking of Christmas miracles, while I was sipping my beer on the patio, I saw two black SUVs pull up. A group of people came out of the cars and there was one person who I immediately recognized. Former NBA MVP and multiple NBA all-star Steve Nash! As a big basketball fan, having a brew at the same bar as a Phoenix Suns legend was pretty epic. On Christmas nonetheless.

Seams to be a lot of regulars. I find both the bar staff and security staff to be friendly. Don't expect to find a nice wine or any but they have plenty of beer and can make most cocktails. Honestly, I have no idea how it got those reviews. Maybe they're paid, I'm not sure, but based on my experience I would not go back. The biggest issue was the service. We arrived and were told to sit anywhere we wanted. After sitting down, we waited about 20 minutes and no one ever came to our table. No greeting, no water, nothing. Eventually I had to walk up to the bar and ask what the procedure was. Do we order at the bar? Do you have table service? No one could give a clear answer. They just kept saying, "If you want, you can order here." That's not the point. If I sit down at a restaurant, I expect someone to come to the table and explain how things work or take our order. If the system is that you order at the bar, just say that clearly so people know what to do. The drinks were also very mediocre. Nothing special at all. Honestly, they tasted like something you could throw together at home with soda, alcohol, and ice. The surprising part is that the food was actually phenomenal. The kitchen clearly knows what it's doing. The dishes were delicious and probably the best part of the entire experience. But great food alone isn't enough to make me return somewhere with poor service and forgettable drinks. My recommendation is don't waste your time on a Sunday brunch. There are plenty of other brunch spots with good food and good service.

Outrider has a good deal of comfortable seating which is always a plus in my book. It's an open air bar, so there's also some seating by the bar which is semi-covered. There's even a firepit of sorts, but only one. Would be cool if they had more. The best part though? The view from the rooftop. You can see the mountains in the background and old town Scottsdale.
