stopped in for lunch what a treat. I ordered a breakfast burrito. It was so good and so large so I loved it. I couldn't finish it and took home half for tomorrow's breakfast.. my wife ordered a chicken sandwich with came out dry and overcooked. when she told our waitress Jordon, she insisted on getting her a new one. Walking in this is a typical sports bar. I'd expect it to be an Irish pub but nothing Irish about it but the name. Awesome sports bar meets Irish pub! I came here twice in the last year, and both times the people I came with were super excited about the bar. It's a bit south of Old Town Scottsdale, so not exactly smack in the center of everything but it still gets really crowded with a great atmosphere. The bar offers a great selection of beers, including 25 oz pours of on-tap Guinness. The atmosphere is very laid back, with plenty of sports on TV, pool tables, darts, and pinball. They also have a dog-friendly patio and access to volleyball and cornhole. Came into RT O'Sullivans tonight with my mom and her boyfriend and his friends. I arrived second to last and the service here was pretty good. Our server was unaware which beers they had were the strongest, but he came back and got me right with a Stone IPA. I've been here several times before, never once has RT O's failed me. They've always got good solid bar food to offer and now they've got some competition next door with Dodo Bird, but RT O's still holds its own. They've got this cool looking door if you go through the front entrance, unique to this restaurant and I have not seen anything like it elsewhere. They've got their whole back patio decked out with an array of TVs that go all the way around and every one of 'em has a game on, so in terms of sports bars in Scottsdale, this is the place to be to have some tasty bar food and grab some draft beers with friends. Last time I was here with my girlfriend, she had gotten the O'Connell burger which is a burger with American cheese and bacon, and she liked it. I had the Shannon burger last time which comes with jalapeños and pepper jack cheese. Pretty solid options here across the board, nothing out of the ordinary in terms of bar food but it sets the bar, so to speak. The wings are decent, as are their tacos which I think they've got deals on certain days of the week if I remember correctly. Tonight I tried the fajita wrap with grilled chicken and a side of waffle fries, which I had to wait a little while for it to come out (I hadn't eaten much today so I was a bit antsy/hangry) but it was worth the wait. The fajita wrap was nice and warm and delicious, and the waffle fries came out a bit less warm, which to my surprise they brought us out some hotter ones which was commendable of them. I can appreciate their care for their customers. The overall vibes tonight were on point, I came hungry and I left full and happy, the food portion sizes were certainly filling. This is always a good option for affordable food and drinks that don't break the bank and are well worth the visit if you're in the area. read more

We have ridden by this place for years and finally stopped in. WOW - We were so impressed! Fun place, lots of TVs and where we sat every booth had it's on TV. The place was fairly crowded early afternoon and the atmosphere was festive. We were met shortly after seating ourselves and looked over the menu. VERY extensive selections and we were in time for Happy Hour. We got our drinks in short order and took more time to study the menu. SO MANY choices - Drinks, appetizers, Happy Hour specials and meals. You will absolutely find something you want to eat and everyone will be pleased! Appetizers - Flatbread and Spinach Dip. Large helpings! My wife adores a good spinach dip and really enjoyed it here. The flavor balance was perfect. In other places the concern would be too much salt. This dip was excellent. The flatbread was fantastic as well. Meal - Fish & Chips and Shepherd's Pie. We were already full from the appetizers and then the meal arrived. These too were large helpings. We had 4 pieces of the fish which was impressive. Hot and served with sauce along with a bottle vinegar on the side. Fries were hot and fresh. The Shepherd's Pie was SAVORY! I could only take a few bites before we had to pack it to go, but it was amazing. We'll finish it together later, it's enough for two. Service - GREAT! We immediately got out menus, drinks and hot meals once ready. Excellent Customer Experience! So now our next decision is when to return to continue exploring their menu. Although unusually located in strip mall, the bar has a back patio, as well as a back BACK patio seating area near a set of volleyball courts (?!?) that is owned by the bar. We saw waitstaff running food and drinks over to the players. Normal bar food, decent selection of beers, and friendly staff. Back patio is great for sunset. Additional parking in the back. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla without bacon (and told the server I'm a vegetarian) and my husband ordered the same thing with bacon. When the runner came out with the plate he said "without bacon" to me as he set it down so I felt fairly comfortable they'd gotten it right. Unfortunately, they did not. When I cut into the second piece, I started seeing bacon and that's when we realized my husband's plate did not have bacon. The plates had gotten switched. Ronnie rocks! Came here for a special event on the patio with about 40 people and our server Ronnie flawlessly handled all of us. It's intimidating to handle a group that size but he made it look easy. I had never been to R.T. O'Sullivan's before being invited to the event. I've passed this strip mall multiple times and never would have guessed that an authentic Irish pub lurked in it. Even more surprising was the ginormous patio with views of the golf course. And yes, they have misters outside. Hidden gem alert! What could be better than outstanding service and a great patio? Yummy food! And R.T. O'Sullivan's delivers. I tried the Shamrock burger (BBQ, bacon and mushrooms topped with cheddar cheese) and it was divine! For the side, I shook things up and had the mashed potatoes. Total yummy comfort food. I was glowing after this meal. I also ordered the boneless wings. The sauce was nice but the overall taste wasn't my favorite. No harm, no foul. The menu here is extensive. You could come every day for a week and try something different. They also offer a daily special. Their website will become your new best friend as you troll around for the different specials. The original location is in Mesa and has been there since 2004. This location opened in 2018. It was obvious that they have their regulars and the neighborhood vibe was great. Especially for people living in Scottsdale but wanting to avoid the tourist traps (we DO love a bachelorette party!) of Old Town, R.T. O'Sullivan's is a great option. Went to R. T. O'Sullivans for their normally great fish fry on 6/13/25. The server asked if we wanted to share one and we said "No". She said we are now offering a smaller portion plate, with 2-1/2 pieces of fish. As we are in our 80's and don't eat as much, we said that sounded fine. When we received it, I ate the 3 smaller pieces and my husband ate the 2 regular size pieces, and filled up with the frys, which we normally leave. When the bill came, they charged us $14.50 a person, in spite of the normal full meal of 4 pieces of fish costing $16 a person. We complained and the server left and came back saying they couldn't adjust the price as that was the price! We won't be going back, as I think they took advantage of us because of our age!! read more

We visited R.T. O'Sullivan's recently on a trip to Phoenix. It is a cool little bar located in a shopping center. The staff was nice and the patrons were friendly. We had the sliders and they were tasty. We would go back again to watchable sports and have an adult beverage. Service was odd. Didn't know whom our server was as different people came over. Folks at the table next to us had the same issue and asked us whom the server was..we shrugged.
