Fig & Prosciutto & Pea & Ricotta

The perfect date night spot with some of the most delicious Italian food in the area. The vibe of the restaurant is cozy and romantic. The pasta is made in house and they even have gluten free options! Every dish is seasoned to perfection. They have a great Pasta Dinner Special where you can choose a bruschetta, 1/2 salad, arancini, or polpette, and pasta for only $33! This is typically my go to as I can try a few different dishes for such a great price. Service is always great, the staff is super attentive and knowledgeable on dietary restrictions. My water cup is was always full!

The best new restaurant I've had in an incredibly long time. This new trend of restaurants focusing exclusively on vibes and not enough on food is exhausting. Brava Cucina is quiet in presentation but loud when it comes to service, ambience, and food. Excellent from start to finish! For starters, the banana sporca mocktail is the best mocktail I've ever had. All the apps were amazing, especially the meatballs and coppa/prosciutto toast. The braised wild boar was equally as delicious! Then for the pasta, I had the special lobster fusilli. Very lemony, fennely, and flavorful.

Everything tastes fresh and homemade. excellent service, attentive and kind staff. Great ambiance, lively but also relaxed and awesome spot to enjoy dinner. I really think the flavors this place serves are up there with north end restaurants, maybe even better. $36 pasta special is an unreal deal for the quality of great food you get. Plus, free garage parking is an amazing perk. Will continue coming back to this awesome spot.

I think we found our new favorite restaurant in the area!!! We visited for dinner on Valentine's Day and Brava definitely exceeded expectations. We've also been to two other local spots from this restaurant group, and while they're all great, I think Brava just stole the top spot. The restaurant itself is small, but intimate, cozy, and decorated well with a nice bar area in the front. I booked a reservation weeks in advance since it was Valentine's Day and even though the place was packed we were seated right away after walking in. We kicked things off with a round of the tastiest vodka kumquat cocktail (I wish I could remember the name but it isn't listed on the online menu). It was honestly one of the best cocktails I've had in a while, I can't wait to come back to sample some more options from Brava's bar menu. The wine and beer list are small but well-curated, we had no trouble finding something we liked for round 2. The food we sampled was equally as exceptional. They have a whole list of bruschetta's on house made focaccia. We went with the Red Wine Poached Pear option and it was so unique and flavorful. That dish alone was enough to sell me on this spot, but the Orecchiette al Forno and Squid Ink Bucatini Vongole we had for our entrees were just as delishious. Our server was so kind and gave some great recommendations--I wish I could remember her name so I could give her a shoutout. Can't say enough good things about our first meal at Brava, it certainly won't be our last :)

Outstanding!! A great addition to Weymouth Landing! My friend and I came here to check the place out shortly after they opened. They did a great job renovating to give it a cozy, intimate vibe. We started with the arancini and burrata. Both were excellent but the bread that came with the burrata was UNREAL. I've never tasted bread like this before. I wanted to take a loaf home with me! For my entree, I ordered the bucatini carbonara. It was fantastic! The black pepper flavor was very strong but I loved it. I'm already looking forward to coming back here, if only for that bread alone! I definitely recommend checking this place out :)

The place is pretty small but has a nice bar. Our waitress was so nice and recommended some good wines for us to try. The Caesar salad was really good and we split a couple pastas, the bolognese and gnocchi, that were both delicious. Very pleasantly surprised by this place!

Bravo for Brava! Welcome to Weymouth! We all know that way back when Weymouth didn't always have the best restaurants. But, now they have come along way and with their newly opened Italian restaurant called Brava (was the former establishment of 4th and Cherry). Brava belongs to the awesome and amazing restaurant group that includes: Drift Hull, Dotty's (formerly The Townshend), and Pearl and Lime. We have become like family since we frequent these restaurants quite a bit. Their food is always fresh, cocktails are innovative and service is impeccable. Brava is their newest sibling in Weymouth center and we had the pleasure of dining their this past weekend. It is cute and cozy; the perfect date night spot. Parking is mostly street parking, but they do have a garage next door. I was able to find street parking. We started off with a few cocktails and their Caesar Salad and Roasted Figs. What was special about their Caesar is they had cacio e pepe croutons which were amazing. Also, their Roasted Figs were hot, creamy and cheesey...who doesn't love that. For entrees, my hubby got their Porchetta and I ordered their Orecchiette al forno (GF). I thought the Gluten Free pasta was a bit heavier and filling but still very good. We both brought home leftovers. We also ordered a few scoops of their gelato. Brava is like visiting your best friend, you never want to leave! Cheers and I hope you check them out. Tell them "hello" from me!

Crispy Brussels Sprouts

I want Brava Cucina to succeed, because this location is seemingly cursed. Which sucks, because this and its previous iteration have a beautiful aesthetic, and promising menus - both bar and kitchen. But dang if there weren't kinks in the execution. They have a series of sides, dips and accoutrement to accompany their focaccia, which is raging on TikTok because people loved to stick their grubby fingers in things, but I digress - it's a fantastic fast bread, and when done well, is as versatile as quick breads can get. We got the coppa and prosciutto starter, and the star of the show was waaaaaaay too dense. Underproofed? Underbaked? Both? Dunno. We could get past a single piece each, so we scarfed down the meats and chalked up a loss. (And yes, we did notify the server of the off bread. She said, "Oh I'm sorry" but nothing went beyond that.) We also got the crispy Brussels sprouts, and as far as seasonal litmus tests go, this was a stellar version. Exquisite roast, in a glaze of reduced apple cider, honey and lemon, tossed with guanciale and topped with parm - order them every time. Our entree pastas - the orecchiette al forno (sweet italian sausage, broccoli rabe, fontina and pecorino moltinero crema) and bucatini carbonara (moar guanciale, black pepper, egg yolk, parm) - had everything we wanted on a brisk fall night... on paper. Again, the execution was off: very soft guanciale (way less rendered than in the brussels), overcooked bucatini, and the flavors were solid in my orecciette but the sauce was broken and there was SO. MUCH. OF IT. Take a look at the pic: it looks like ear pasta cereal swimming in milk. Flatware, interior, lighting and decor gave total Italian nonna - the water glasses especially (loved it). I have to assume this was an off-night. We gave feedback through the evening which was met with the sort of same "Oh, okay" and that was that. Nothing was bad, so kept our plates and just chalked it up to a difference in tastes, which is fine. Not clamoring to return immediately, unfortunately, but will definitely give it another shot a bit further down the road. And I'll bring nonna.

We were a few minutes late to our reservation and it was ok. Our waitress was so great. She explained all the dishes so well and I picked the best dish for me. For appetizers we had burrata and roasted figs. The burrata came with fresh bread that I loved. I ordered the penne vodka and it was spicy. We did not feel rushed but there was definitely a crowd can't wait to go back!

I love the size of Bartaco's tacos - they're more of a street taco, so you can order multiple different ones (four was plenty for dinner). Since then we'd been a few times. Last night, 3 stars might be even too much. When we were waiting for our table at the hostess stand, we and another party saw a mouse. My husband stated he thought it ran over his foot. I asked if we should go... but as we are veterans of living in the city and mice being pretty normal, we decided to stay. Maybe we should have gone to have a better night. Service at the start was fine, but then drinks did not come until after the first round of food. In addition, as I've seen from a few reviews here, we received an additional tray of tacos that was not ours, which a runner then took away and looked to serve to the correct table. Having worked in the restaurant industry, I know you never take a plate of food from one table and move it to another. Everything came out within 7 to 10 minutes, which was great, but a few of the tacos seemed like they had been sitting and were soggy which I took to mean they were sitting prepped in the kitchen and just popped on the table. Who knows. Because then when we ordered a few more tacos, we waited about 20 minutes before starting to look around and our server not once making eye contact. 10 minutes later, my husband and daughter left to go to the bookstore while I waited for the check and as soon as they had left, the tacos came out, in a to go box. The server did not offer to do anything in regards to the long wait time, which even if I wouldn't have taken, should have been addressed. We won't be coming back for a long time... It seems they've lost their way. If you do go...the pork belly taco and the crispy oyster taco were both delicious (even if soggy).

It was all those things and didn't disappoint. Chicken parm was not fried. Was Bell & Evans chicken breast not beat to hell. Was plump, juicy and flavorful. Maybe the best I've ever had. We walked into a warm, energetic space with dim lighting, an open dining room, and a constant buzz that makes it a great choice for a night out with friends or a date. The restaurant has a vibrant, social energy that encourages sharing and exploration, and the open layout adds to the sense of activity without feeling chaotic. Rather than ordering individual entrées, the experience is centered around sharing a variety of dishes, making each visit feel a little different depending on what you choose. The tapas are the highlight of the menu, with plenty of options that encourage trying a little bit of everything. The bacon-wrapped dates are one of the signature dishes, balancing sweet and savory flavors, while the patatas bravas, croquettes, and charcuterie boards are reliable choices to start the meal. If you are looking for something more substantial, the seafood paella and squid ink pasta stand out as excellent main dishes, offering rich flavors and generous portions that are easy to split between two or more people. The olive oil cake is also worth saving room for if you want to end the meal with dessert, and the overall progression of the meal works well with the tapas format. The drink menu is just as impressive as the food. Wine is the main focus, with an extensive list featuring Spanish and international selections, but the sangria and cocktails are equally popular. It is the kind of place where you can easily spend a couple of hours sharing plates while working your way through a few different drinks, and the beverage program is thoughtfully curated to match the style of the food. Service is one of the restaurant's strongest points. The staff are knowledgeable about both the menu and wine list, and dishes arrive steadily throughout the meal instead of all at once, creating a relaxed dining pace. The pacing allowed us to enjoy each dish without feeling rushed, and the team checked in at the right moments without hovering. The restaurant is consistently busy, especially on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Even with a reservation, there can occasionally be a short wait, and the lively atmosphere means the dining room can get quite loud during peak hours. The energy of the room is part of what makes the experience work, but it is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a quieter dinner. Barcelona Wine Bar is one of the best places in Boston for Spanish-inspired tapas and wine. The combination of flavorful shareable dishes, a well-curated drink menu, attentive service, and vibrant atmosphere makes it an easy choice for group dinners, celebrations, or date nights. It offers a meal that feels both communal and polished, with a setting that encourages slowing down and enjoying the evening. Just be prepared for the energetic environment and plan ahead if you are visiting during the busiest times.

When it comes to steaks, I rarely eat out because I have a paranoia of being let down. I always buy my meat from a butcher and cook them beautifully on a charcoal (yes, if you cook on propane it's not actually grilling - poser) grill. This trip to Amelias reinforced why I shouldn't stray from handling good meat myself. The place itself is cool, my grandmother was very impressed which is honestly all that matters. Of course she was enamored by the bread options and the whipped butter with olive oil was honestly a nice touch. I ordered a bottle of pellegrino and was surprised the waitress never topped me off (get your mind out of the gutter). Whatever, I had to serve my own drink but at a place of that caliber you'd think the wait staff would understand that when a bottle of any sort is purchased they should be asking the diners if they'd like a refill. We ordered the tuna tartare and my grandmother had never even heard of such a dish before. She enjoyed a bite and then I inhaled the rest - yes I am fat and hungry NOT SORRY. We ordered our steaks and I got excited too soon. I can't help but shake my head, I NEVER get steaks out any more because even at steak houses I am most often let down. I am not trying to sound cheap but at $68 a steak I am expecting a melt in your mouth masterpiece (that's what they used to call me back in the day) and honestly the meat we got was a MAJOR let down. Steak alone has it's flavor and this piece was lacking. They overcooked it and it was genuinely tough even with the LITTLE pink they allowed me to enjoy. I was really heartbroken but the only reconciliation for this was that my aged grandmother was ecstatic and this meal wasn't for me, it was an attempt to treat my grandmother to what could be one of her last few really special meals. For her it was and that's the only reason I'm not giving this place two stars.
