Came for dinner after seeing an IG post singing their praises. We were disappointed. I had the roast beef sandwich, the meat was piled high and that where the goodness of this dish ended. The roll was stale a the fries were cold. My husband had a burger his fries cold too...just eh. There was a strawberry cake in the specials menu . Waitress said it was a take on strawberry shortcake. So we decided to try , took forever to get. For something that had not been made there. Was almost like a cake you get a a function. She said it had been getting rave reviews. Pleasantly surprised! I wasn't expecting much as the restaurant here before this was very disappointing, but I'm happy to report this one is the exact opposite! The inside still looks the same; a large open space with the high ceilings and brick walls... My husband and I came in for dinner during the week. As the name Martinis suggests, there are plenty of them on the menu and specials at the bar. I tried 3 different ones: hot & dirty, french, and espresso. The hot & dirty was not good but the others were excellent! The food menu is very diverse and larger than expected. There is definitely something for everyone! We started with bread & butter, which was warm, soft and delicious. For my entree, I ordered the salmon pisello and it was fantastic!! The portion size was huge with so much salmon that it could have easily been split into two meals! My husband also really enjoyed his baked stuffed haddock. We will definitely be back! :) read more

Four of us went to dinner. It was not very busy. It did take quite a while to get a cocktail. We were seated at a table . When we were asked to order we put in an appetizer and they asked us to put in our entrée at the same time, we did tell the waiter we wanted our soup and salad before dinner. We did not want them to come out together. Salads came out and two seconds later our meals came out and there was no soup. They forgot it. They did bring it out, but it was too late so it was sent back. Also, the bake stuffed haddock was supposed to be served with potatoes and those were not on the plate . The Caesar salad was delicious although the croutons were stale and they were soggy. There was no shaved Parmesan on it . All in all everyone's food was delicious. Walked in with my parents for a quick dinner. We've only been here 1 other time last year and thought the food was good, so decided to pop in and try it again. We were sat and then forgotten about. The place was not busy. It was a Sunday and early dinner time (I think just before 5pm?) We were looking around, menus shut, trying to get someone's attention, and at one point we saw a waitress look at us and the. keep talking to another waitress. We weren't even greeted at the table or served waters. We waited almost 10 minutes and then just quietly got up and walked out and went next door. Unfortunate, because it's right down the road from us and we would have made it a more regular spot, but that experience won't bring us back any time soon. read more

Martinis is a super pretty location. Settled in the middle of Whitman center with floor to ceiling windows. it's almost looks like a green house ! Within the last year they changed ownership from the previous "patio" and its made great strides ! the food here is amazing and very high end tasting. it's great for a date night out!!! read more

Great food at reasonable prices. Per the name, all sorts of fancy martinis that everyone seems to enjoy! I have never had one in my life, but someday! All their food is great, but I have to mention their generous baked haddock dish with crunchy onions on top, perfectly cooked grilled asparagus, great mashed potatoes, and a small salad. $25!!!! This would probably be $42-$45 at Legal's. (Unfortunately, we all know how that has gone from an esteemed restaurant to a plain hit or miss seafood restaurant since new owners took over several years ago.) The manager Lucas is a great guy, and the bartenders and servers are always friendly. The kitchen shuts down at 9:30 even on weekends, so get there earlier. Honestly, I was a little put off at first when the hostess asked my friend and I if we could be done eating in an hour when we walked in a couple Friday nights ago. We said sure anyway and got seated right where the band was playing. Like, the singer/guitar player was setting up his mic and stand literally two feet behind me. Haha! The waiter was great and quick. My friend enjoyed her martinis and we both loved the truffle garlic fries and wings. I had the caprese salad and she had the chicken Marsala. Both were equally good. The location is pretty nice and open. Aside from the awful seating section we got stuck in--and by the way, there were a bunch of other open tables throughout the restaurant which also made our placement there and rush to leave very weird--I'll be back to get some of those fries and wings. read more

I want to really like this place. Whitman needs a great place desperately. The food is hit or miss. Twice now we have had what appears to be raw garlic on a pasta dish. Strange. Fish and chips was solid. Caesar salad decent nothing special. The kicker is this place doesn't have good martinis and that is hard to get past with a name of martinis. I have tried several different ones and they just miss every time. I wish they'd work on the quality of the martinis read more

New restaurant that took over for the old Patio at Mcguiggans. Whole menu dedicated to martinis and a decent selection of food. Short rib dinner was very good. Not a fan of their martinis wings, it's basically wings in a blue cheese and balsamic soup. It's been very busy so be patient while waiting for food and drinks. It would be nice if they brought back the kogi wings and/or hot honey. read more

Ate dinner there for the first time Saturday night. Walked in and found bar seats right away. The friendliest bartenders, who not only made delicious drinks, but gave great recommendations for dinner choices. The Steak Diane was a perfect medium with sides of roasted potatoes and asparagus. This was our second time at. I can assure you that it did not disappoint. We both ordered different menu items. I had the pork which was amazing and my wife had the chicken marsala, which was also very good. The weight staff is fantastic. Everyone from the bartenders to the servers. We happen to have sat at the bar and were served by and Jonathan who were quick friendly and welcoming. I think the most random and fun part of the night was when I dropped my fork and Jamie ran over before it even hit the ground to pick it up and at the same time Heather was right by my side with another silverware set for. You don't get much better service than that. The atmosphere is modern and comfortable the bands that they have on Fridays and Saturdays are great to listen to. Dinner for 4 on 11/20, we all got different things, and it was all delicious. We had one order of lobster ravioli, one peanut Thai shrimp pasta, one steak tips, and one hanger steak. Everything was flavorful and delicious. The hanger steak was a touch less than the ordered medium, but not enough to complain about; it was seasoned wonderfully and very tender, as were the steak tips. The lobster in the sauce for the lobster ravioli was buttery and tender, and the butterflied fried shrimp and ravioli were delicious as well. And the Thai shrimp pasta was a big hit! Service was a little slow, as they seemed to be working out some new opening kinks, but still worth it. We didn't try a martini, but the variety looked great, and we will try when we return. There is a charge for the bread basket as you wait for your meal, which was unexpected to hear when we asked for it. read more

I have been here when it's was under old management. Everything looks the same. But new owners. I ordered the steak Maria. The food came out in a timely fashion. My wife had the scallops and they were so delicious. My steak was a little on the well done side. So I told the waitress. Before I said a word she took it off the table and in 15 minutes she brought out a plate. It was awesome. My wife had one of their martinis and it was delicious. So come by and try it out.
