Bought bananas that were mid-ripe and priced at only .24 cents each vs only a few cents more for organic bananas. The single avocados were fresh and hard to the touch and nicely priced although the same avocados in the 4-pack were mushy. The store was clean with several food stockers available for help if needed. The double thick paper bags with the carrying handles are superb and appreciated. One thing noticed here different than other grocery stores is the continual commitment to customer service and smiles everywhere. Maybe organic products cause this rare phenomenom?

The bakery does a nice job with decorating cakes with my favorite being their yellow cake with vanilla custard and fresh strawberries with whipped topping. Our family trip down to coral gables was bearable thanks to the Whole Foods coffee and my sea salt crackers. This location offers huge area of hot food section and other prepped meals for togo. I observed one employee carefully stacking the family prepped meals in aluminum containers to inside the fridge. He seemed to really care, knew exactly what he was doing, putting foods in rotation, ones that were in the fridge to the front and the newly packed ones to the back. Respect. The employee who worked the coffee bar today was welcoming, positive minded, and friendly. I loved her energy and the small banter. I was placed on a good mood even before I had some coffee in my system. Thank you for the great start of my day. Yes I recommend this place to others and will definitely be back myself when I am in the area next time. This whole food is located in a plaza that offers plenty of free parking.

First off, no cake cutting knife was handed to me, I had to go to Publix and they happily handed me one for free. Secondly, the frosting was cracked, I had to go over it at home and smooth it out with a butter knife. I had asked them to put ribbon on the cake and instead I got a single ribbon design with some ugly dots around it.. looked like a breast cancer awareness month cake instead of a birthday cake. I purchased a birthday cake from this location last Sunday and had a great experience. So naturally, I returned on Wednesday, June 18th my actual daughter's birthday to pick up another cake. When I asked the bakery associate if she could write my daughter's name on it, she flat-out refused, saying it couldn't be done. I explained that I had just bought this same cake days earlier from the same bakery, with no issue. I even showed her a photo of it. Instead of acknowledging the mistake, she went silent, looked visibly annoyed, and seemed bothered that I even asked. It wasn't even close to closing time just 6:15 PM so I knew time wasn't the issue. Frustrated, I said not to worry about it and walked away. I ended up going to another Publix down the street where they had no problem writing the name on the exact same cake. This was a small ask on a special day, and the dismissive treatment I received left a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know what made this experience different, but it certainly didn't feel right.
