Located on 3815 Euclid Ave, SD, CA 92105 This shop is connected to a store and laundry mat with limited parking. I've been coming here for years. The food is a hit or miss; depends on the cook for that day/evening. My grandmother loves their carnesada fries from here though. They do need to work in their hot sauce department, it lacks flavor and no spice to it, very basic and watery. Prices are moderate due to the inflation. Not a good representation for a San Diego Taco Shop. The food is not bad but nothing to go running to tell all your friends about. I have been here several times for to go orders because it's the closest taco shop to where I live. Unfortunately if I have a craving, I'm driving right past and on over to Santa Ana. This place used to be good like 10 years ago. Back when they didn't police how many salsas you're allowed. I ordered a burrito and the man was polite and friendly to me.. but as soon as I asked for more salsa his whole demeanor changed. You'd think I just spat in his face and called his mother a wh*re. I guess their cap on salsa is 2 per burrito. He then proceeded to tell me that they charge extra for more salsa but I wasn't trying to charge just 75 cents to my card so I left without the extra 1 salsa I asked for. Came here because someone suggested it and I'm glad they did. The girl working the counter was attentive and friendly (Wednesday early afternoon). We originally got our order to go but ended up eating there. Our order was ready fast. Lately I've been disappointed in taco shops but this place did not disappoint. Let me just start by saying that I've been going to this place since '02 and this place hasn't changed ambiance-wise. For the first two years since I started going here, I went practically every week - sometimes even twice a week! I am no Mexican dining connoisseur, but I've been to this place enough to appreciate them for what they offer. Back then, the prices were pretty cheap - for $3.25 or so you got a large California burrito. The rolled tacos were pretty cheap and delicious as well. They were pretty generous with the toppings on them. Fast forward to now - interior still looks the same, save for the menu. It seems like the same people still work there - or at least some of them. The menu has changed, especially in pricing. There's a few booths and tables inside, but this place is more like a whole-in-the-wall place, so I wouldn't really recommend eating here. I usually take my food to go, since in the past there often were teenagers loitering outside looking in, watching you eat.... (creepy...) The California burrito still tastes the same, although I miss when they used potato wedges rather than fries (circa 2002/2003). I noticed that the burrito didn't taste as greasy as it used to - which is a plus for me, especially since the meat still tasted just as good. The fries were a little soggy - I think they just cooked the fries mixed with the beef - but I like my fries slightly crispy in the burrito. I like that they put some pico de gallo in here - it makes the burrito taste better, imo. California burritos are now $4.49, but hey, what Mexican fast food place hasn't suffered inflation? My significant other had the california burrito with chicken (pollo asado?) and it was pretty good. I had a bite and it tasted infinitely better than the pollo asado garbage sold at Rigoberto's (locations near La Jolla and Mira Mesa). I still prefer the regular beef California though. By the way, the tortilla sometimes tears at the sides while you're eating. At plenty other taco places, the tortillas never tear, so I'm a little weary about the quality of the tortillas (or possibly how they cook it) as chunks of meat fall out from the sides. The hot sauce is pretty good - it's slightly chunky and spicy compared to Lolita's hot sauce. There's also picked carrots, jalapenos, etc. but I usually just add some hot sauce and I'm good to go. All in all, I wouldn't come here for the tacos. I would rather go to Tacos el Gordo for more TJ-style ones. What I like about Bravo's Taco Shop is that the food is made quick and the location is pretty close, but it's not the best that it could be (or rather, used to be). The parking lot is pretty small, but it's almost never crowded, so parking won't be a problem. This is a decent place to go to, as it's better than any of the Roberto's (or other of the --berto's variation) I've come across in San Diego. I would rather go to Lolita's for my California Burrito if I'm up in Kearney Mesa though (which I often am). Lolita's is bigger - and thus better for larger groups - and although the food takes longer to make, I would rather wait and have quality food. read more

Authentic mexican food at its finest. I go here quite often and have not been let down. I usually order the carne asada fries, carne asada burrito, and super nachos. All are foodgasmic and cheap! YES, I think it's one of the cheaper and better quality mexican shops i've been too. you get what you pay for too, meaning that the portions are pretty big and they don't slack you for your money even if you order a lot. they top their carne asada fries with some Parmesan cheese which is unique and adds a great flavor to the carne asada fries. they use the best sized fries as well, not too thick or thin but perfect and is crispy and yummm. the tortillas they use are also fresh and damn tasty. i actually brought a burrito and wasn't able to eat it until about 4 hours later and it still tasted fine, just needed a little warming up but it was still as amazing as it would be fresh. Pros: CHEAP, BIG PORTIONS. AMAZING TASTE Cons: Parking lot a bit weird and unsafe to drive. Coming back is for sure because it's my go-to mexican food place for me and my family. i've recommended this place to some friends and they have loved it too. the price is reasonable and their service is great. read more

This review is based mainly on their fish burrito. I was craving a fish burrito and decided to try this place out because it had decent reviews and it was nearby. Little did I know, I would face the most disappointing Mexican food experience to date. Their "fish burrito" was priced more expensively than other restaurants at $6.75 (all the places I've been to charge in the low $5s). I thought maybe the higher price would equate to better quality so I placed my order. When I bit into my burrito, I wondered whether I had ordered the wrong item because I couldn't taste any fish. The tiny pieces of fish were covered in a thick layer of batter. It felt more like I had ordered a "batter burrito." Additionally, my friend ordered their carne asada burrito which was the same price as the batter burrito. There was a generous amount of carne asada in the burrito, but I found it to be overly salty and just okay. These guys are open late night after some truly awful service at a show, I can count on Bravo's to hit the spot. I've been here twice so far. Get the Queso Mush.
