I've been having an issue with my system for years, and it never really bothered me enough, until it finally did. I stopped at this place and Chris Simmons attended me even though he was pretty busy. He took his time to explain all the possibilities that were causing the issue with my distorted sound. He recommended a filter for my RCA wires. It worked perfectly. Thank you so much for taking time of your busy day to help me!! The price for the filter was awesome! It didn't cost me an arm and a leg like some other placed try ripping you off with! There was a mix up where they replaced two door speakers instead of just the one speaker that was busted. And better speakers than what I had. But they still did the work for the original price. Also, good customer service, and the speakers sound great! read more

I had them install a brake controller in my vehicle. Now I'm having problems with a short-circuit and the controller going into overload. Turns out they had spliced up a connector rather than using the right wiring harness and I think the controller might have been used. read more

Summary of Service (to save reading time): Poor quality installation; unprofessional attitude; unknowledgeable about all systems; the worst customer service. I made an appointment for a new audio system install 11 Mar at 8 AM in my 2002 Camaro Z28 in garage kept pristine condition. For the install I already had a new audio/video receiver and amp and subwoofer and new door speakers. I called the shop the afternoon before the install to confirm that my appointment was still good. When I showed up at 8 AM the next morning, nobody was there. As the minutes ticked by, I was getting later to get to work costing me more money/time. I was getting ready to forget the whole thing when somebody showed up a 8:15 AM and opened up. When I walked in the shop I was asked what I wanted. After explaining that I was supposed to have an install done I was met with skepticism and much shuffling around the counter trying to figure it out I called the shop around 10 AM to make sure they had instructions of how I wanted the system installed, specifically external switch placement. I showed up at 4:30 expecting my car to be done but it was still disassembled when I arrived. The installer mumbled some apologies how he got a late start on the job and needed another 45 minutes. I left and came back about an hour later and he was still in work so I waited around. I noticed right away one small issue. There was an external switch to control the amount of power from the amp that I requested to be mounted in my center console (so it would be out of sight) but it was stuck in the cubby hole in my center dash area with the mounting tabs cut off. I asked about this and he replied that he didn't have enough line to reach console. I felt I should have been contacted about this before it was put in another location than I requested and permanently altering the switch. After finally getting the car back together around 6 PM they were getting ready to pull it out of the shop and I asked to check out the system before they took it outside (it was raining). Upon entering the car I noticed a pink wire lying on the seat that I knew from reading the owner's manual, was part of the install of the video portion of the system to work properly. I asked the installer why he didn't install the "pink" wire and he mumbled that it was for aux audio or something. I knew this was bullshit so I asked him about video operation. He replied that he ran that wire to ground and I could Google a code to override the video from not working while driving. I replied that I am paying him to install the system and expect everything to be working when I left. He didn't seem to like that but went inside to look on the computer to find a "code". A half hour later he still couldn't figure out how to get the video working at all. I agreed to let him figure it out the next day and he said he would call me and let me know. I asked for my factory system and he said it was in the trunk. So about 6:30 PM I took the car home. After I got in the garage, I popped the trunk and of course my factory components weren't in there. I also didn't get the empty boxes back for any of my new components. Thursday, I never received a call. After the sun came up, I noticed about 1.5 inch scratch on my drivers door that wasn't there when I left the car for the install. On the way home from work that afternoon, I stopped at the shop to find out if they had a solution yet, get my original stereo components, and show the manager the scratch. I entered the shop and the installer never even acknowledged my presence by coming to the counter to speak with me. After a few minutes went by, the owner/manager came in and I talked to him about the problems with the install. I also had to ask again for my original my components back. As the conversation progressed, I had a growing reserve about settling things amicably but I am an optimist so I persevered for a while longer. They claimed they called the manufacturer and left a message to get a code that would be a get around to having the "pink" wire installed that was left out of the installation. I asked how long was I expected to wait for them to get a callback that might never come before I was able to get my system operating properly. They were hoping to not have to remove the radio and install the wire that the installer overlooked. I also showed him the scratch on my door. However, he did assure me that he wanted to make things right and promised to call me the next day. He assured me he would call and if they got the code they would fix it up or he would make me a follow-up appointment to bring the car back and hook up the wire that was required and also touch up the scratch. Well, its been exactly a week since he promised to call and assured me he wanted to the right thing and I haven't heard a word from anyone at Brazos Valley Auto Concepts. I'm not sure why I keep finding bad reviews on this business. Back in 2010 I bought a new Honda Accord & wanted the windows tinted. I asked the service department at Honda & they told me about this place. Didn't make an appointment I just brought my car they told me they would get it done & call me when it's done. It was about 4 1/2 hours later that I got the call & I was very very impressed by the end result. Couple years later I ended up getting a new CRV & wanted those windows tinted as well so pretty much exactly the same...didn't make an appointment, just showed up & was told I'd get a call when it was done. 4 hours later I got the call & was very pleased by the results. My husband is in the military & we just got orders for Alaska so we just got a Subaru Crosstrek & I'm planning on getting them windows tinted this week as well by Brazos Valley Auto Concepts. Also I told my parents about this place & they've had all 3 of their vehicles tinted with them with no problems as well. I'm not sure about all their other services but they were very nice, & gave me great service. If I could give them more then 5 stars I would!!!! read more

I bought a 2010 Honda CRV. I had tint and a DVD player added to the vehicle. After it was all installed, I had my car about 5 months when the DVD system began having problems and would not read the disc. I tried other discs and as soon as I'd put them in the DVD player would say "no disc" even though one was in it. I took it to the Honda place and they arranged to have it fixed by the people that fixed it (Brazos valley auto concepts). I picked my car up at the Honda place when it was done. I drove it home and noticed that the lights on the DVD player would not go off. I had it set on "door" so that when the door was opened the light would come on. I got home and opened my car door and the light would go off. The wires were installed incorrectly. I took it to the Honda place and they told me to take to the Brazos Valley Auto Concepts since they were the ones that installed it. I took it back and they fixed the wire issue. I picked up my car and the next day I turned on the DVD player for my daughter and it said "no disc". It played with it several times and finally it started to work. I called Brazos Valley very angry because my first thought was that they did not replace my DVD player. I told them that this make their company look bad. The guy on the line got very rude and hateful saying that was the only brand of DVD players they carried. I said then I'd get a different brand to carry if they are all malfunctioning like this. He got an attitude and said they were the ones that had to replace them for 3 years/36000 miles. I made another appointment to have my DVD player replaced. They did and about 3 months later it darted messing up doing the same things, headphones stopped working. I took it in and they guy at the desk saw it doing the "no disc" thing and also said the IR sensor was out. This was on a Monday. He said to bring it back Wednesday at 10:30 am. I pulled up Wednesday about 10:20. In went in to the office. A lady was waiting at the counter and a tall, skinny, older guy walked in before I did. He ignored the lady at the desk and asked me if I was dropping off my car. I told him I was and explained the arrangement that was made to have it done that day. He rudely scoffed and said they were busy and he didn't think they could do it that day. I told him the name of the guy I had set it up with. He rudely said he'd let me talk to the other guy then. The guy that I had made the appointment with came in and asked me what I needed. I looked t the lady and told her to go first since she was there before I was. Another guy helped me and I left my car. I picked it up at five just to find out that the wiring was messed up aain with the lights staying on with the door shut and going off hen you opened it. So that had to be redone. And the tint they put on when I bought my car...it's si light you can see right through it even at night and it's got little pinholes in it where it's already beginning to peel. And I've only had this car for 15 months. Stay away from Brazos valley Auto Concepts!!! Their service sucks and the quality of their stuff is very low.
