Had breakfast one morning at this small popular eatery while in town with friends. Walk up counter service, with menus on the board, along with paper menus. Place your order, pay and get a number then grab a seat. Breakfast on the waterfront is whats here, with a few seats inside. Some benches are outside as well down by the waters edge and marina. It was a nice sunny morning on our visit so we grabbed a bench outside and waited for our number. Biscuits and gravy with two eggs over medium, the biscuits were good and the gravy better than average and its pretty hard to mess up a couple eggs. All in all a decent enough breakfast. The location makes this place what it is, a waterfront breakfast joint. Small interior, busy and not much of a place to sit and enjoy other than outside. The line moves pretty quick. 3.5 Stars rounded up for the locale 01108

This is a cute small eatery bustling with patrons. There was a small wait to order our food. The staff were friendly and allowed to customize my breakfast sandwich. We ordered two classic egg sandwich with meat. I liked that they offered turkey bacon as I do not eat pork. My sandwich was on an egg muffin. It was delicious but I wished that the turkey bacon was crispier. My wife had bacon and she chose an everything bagel as her choice of bread. She enjoyed the breakfast sandwich but mentioned that the bagel should have been toasted. We also had hash browns which were so good! It was a pleasant breakfast experience and we will try bread and butter again soon.

My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice spot for brunch while on an overnight trip to Annapolis, and Google led us here. Location is amazing. Gorgeous views of the water and boats in the marina. Outdoor tables right next to the boats. We even got to see a giant boat being moved that went right past our table. Ordered our food inside at the counter, and they brought it out to us. Surprisingly little to no seafood on the menu given its proximity to the water. My girlfriend got the Hippy Hash Skillet with marble rye toast, and I got the brunch burger with house chips. She loved her rye toast but said everything else was just ok, and I loved the chips, but I was very underwhelmed by the burger. I asked for it medium but there wasn't a trace of pink on the inside. In addition, while writing this review I looked over their menu again and realized my burger was supposed to come with roasted garlic aioli and maple bourbon bacon jam, but came with neither. This would have been an easy fix at the time but I just didn't remember these two ingredients were supposed to be part of it. So all I got was a dry burger with a hash brown and a fried egg with the yolk cooked through. Not a bad place to eat but as there are so many options in the area, not sure if we would return on our next trip to Annapolis.

Came here for the first time for Sunday brunch. Very crowded, but that's expected (and a good sign!). There was live music outside by the water. You order at the counter and then find a seat. There was a relatively long wait for food. The food was good - pancakes were yummy and the hippy hash skillet was decent too. My only complaint is the skillet was rather burnt. It would've been great if the skillet wasn't burnt. Would come back though!

We tried this place because it had so many great reviews. We weren't disappointed by the food...it was delicious, but the ambiance was a bit funky! I had the BBK Sandwich and it was delicious. My husband had the Hippy Hash and loved it too. The restaurant is right at the marina, so it's fun to see the boats. The place was packed when we went there and only the sofa with TV trays were available. Unusual, but whatever!

This is a casual diner serving all-day lunch and breakfast. Came here on a Friday around 12:30. Service was fast and friendly. There were a few tables available outside and inside. I got the oyster mushroom po-boy and my partner got the Philly cheesesteak. I'd give them 8/10. Pretty good. I liked how there were lots of vegetarian/vegan options. I'd come back!

In the charming neighborhood of Eastport along the water is an equally charming cafe that serves breakfast all day. The menu is big with lots of comfort foods like pancakes, but I ordered the Southern Chicken Biscuit and I wasn't mad about it. On a busy Sunday around 11:30am, it took ten minutes for the food to come, but when it did, I was happy. A fried chicken breast comes on a warm biscuit with bacon, cheese, fried egg, and sriracha honey. Don't worry. It's not spicy. In fact, I wanted an extra side of the hot honey. The sandwich was very good and filling! The space itself is small, but next door is another room with more tables, restrooms, water, etc. There are a few tables outside along the water too.

Really cute little dockside eatery in a cozy space with outdoor seating. I was in Annapolis just for fun and wanted to try a local spot for lunch. It was hard to tell online if there was indoor seating--there is a bar with stools and a couple tables. You order at the counter and your food is brought out to you. The menu was interesting, there were vegetarian/vegan options and all day breakfast. I got the black bean with butternut squash grain bowl. It was a bit underwhelming. I didn't like that the quinoa was served cold, then topped with some hot ingredients. It didn't taste very good with cold quinoa. If it had been warmed up it would have tasted a lot better. Nothing was really seasoned and the dish relied heavily on the dressing for flavor. I kept looking over at the guy next to me who ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich (which looked amazing), yearning for some flavor. I doused the whole thing in Cholula I found on the table in desperation. I did enjoy the molasses cookie I got. It was nice eating by the window at the bar seating. There's little planters hanging which really adds to the vibe. Cute spot, nice little lunch place.

Mixed reviews for our table, but I would return for their lunch sandwiches. Skip breakfast items, especially the biscuit. One exemption was rhe buttermilk pancake, that was tasty. The ITEM to get was the toasted sandwich and the taste of chicken and avocado was perfection. Some fyi's would be that they give tou a cup for water to be filled by fountain type device outside. Drinks are limited to tea and everything else pretty much bottled. Service was efficiently speedy. Breakfast a 2 lunch food a 5 so meeting in the middle ish.

Annapolis has a number of vibrant local gathering spots, but Bread and Butter Kitchen is at the top of the list. They have added to the original space so they have multiple seating options: Counter stools, cozy tables, and even a couch. There is a conference room space that can be booked for meetings, and it is lovely--so nicely decorated and fully equipped. My senior women's group met there this morning for a coffee gathering. Today was a rainy morning, so the marina waterside tables were not in use. But we had such a nice, cozy gathering in "The Hub." The coffee bar has multiple coffee offerings, and a number of flavoring syrups. And the scones are to die for! I had a blueberry scone that was pure heaven. The owner goes out of her way to greet guests, and the whole staff is consistently friendly. No wonder the line is often out the door. On weekends, they often have musicians playing outside. It is a community-centered, warm, and inclusive establishment with a very positive vibe. They also do catering. I visited another establishment up in Crownsville that had food items from B&BK.

I really enjoyed our visit here! We came for the 4th of July for lunch. It was very busy but they kept the line moving quickly. Food only took 15 minutes to come out! Seating is limited but we were able to grab some at seating by the window. The chicken biscuit here was by far the best part of the meal! It's a honey sriracha and was perfectly seasoned/garnished. The kale salad was light and refreshing (I added some pepper to give it some more spice). It's a casual family friendly spot, and had lots of plants and large windows to keep it airy! I have admittedly struggled to locate vegetarian meals in Annapolis (honestly, across the DMV) that are not lifeless salads given the understandable obsession with all things seafood. Bread and Butter kitchen was a fantastic find to address my meatless needs. There were so many options for meat avoiders and meat lovers, with unique finds like the Banh Mi made with oyster mushrooms - it rocked and kinda stayed on water theme (oyster?! Even if the mushroom variety??) Right next to the water, you can also eat your meal in a picturesque setting, perfect for the 'gram (or the yelp). Highly recommend and will be back!

Bread and Butter Kitchen doesn't need another 5 star review, but I had a hard time believing the reviews before I went, so hopefully this helps. This place is a super cute, homey cafe right on the water in Annapolis. They don't have indoor seating (that I saw) but the outside is first come first served. We ordered inside, snagged a little high top right by the water and the servers came out with our food. Our table felt well spaced and they even had disinfectant wipes for our use. For $25 (incl. tip) we got a yummy vegan sausage breakfast biscuit, cinnamon roll pancakes, coffees, and some very nice live Jazz! Parking was very easy as well. This may not be your decadent / fancy brunch spot, but if I lived close by, I'm sure I'd come at least a few times a month. read more

We had a wonderful time here on a Saturday morning. The food was delicious- I had the BBK sandwich, which I'd totally recommend. My daughter had the kids sized blueberry pancakes, which were full of blueberries and she just inhaled it all. We ate outside by the water and listened to the wonderful jazz singer (please invite her back!) I also am glad they enforce mask wearing inside, especially during this delta variant. There was a difficult customer when we were there and the staff handled it well. But it's just such a bummer they have to deal with it. Kudos to the staff! read more

A star for the seating on the water, a star for the friendly service, and 1 out of 2 stars for the food. I deducted 1 star for the food because I got the chicken biscuit with egg, cheese, and bacon which I was excited to try. The biscuit was fresh baked and I love biscuits, so I had high hopes. I bit into it and... nothing. Almost no flavor. I couldn't believe my tastebuds. My eyes could see the biscuit, what looked like freshly made chicken, but there was almost nothing there. The bacon was undercooked for my taste too. I finished it and as I ate it I got some more flavors but it really fell flat. My daughter loved her silver dollar pancakes though. Ok, the other deducted star... This place has a very in-your-face ambiance. There are so many pride and trans flags you could get epilepsy. Fine, cool, it's "Pride Month" I get it. I don't know if it is like this all the time or not. Yes, love IS love. All rights are good rights, science is science, water is wet, got it. Tons of, ironically, vanilla platitudes everywhere. It is a virtue signaling confetti blast in the face. All good. They mean well, "celebrating a lifestyle isn't political," etc. However, the food was served on (I am telling you, it is EVERYWHERE) wax paper that showed an avocado cartoon saying "Pro (duce) choice!" Like I said, you want to go 11/10 over the top on the pride stuff, I get it. You can never have too many woke bonus points. But getting your abortion stance while eating my breakfast left a bad taste in my mouth. And, as mentioned, it was the only taste I got. By the way, I bet I could have done the math on this one and figured it out for myself. The place doesn't scream, "Protect the unborn!" read more

Nice outdoor seating areas shade and sunny spots. You order and go sit, they'll bring it to you. Lots of flavor and different options with the food. We split avocado toast, chicken biscuit and chorizo gravy between 2 and it was perfect amount, almost too much. Wish they had larger drink options though, sizes and whatnot. read more

While working on a boat steps away from this restaurant we had breakfast and lunch from this restaurant and it was delicious. Staff was very pleasant. Prices are a little on the high side. 3 sandwiches, a kids grilled cheese and a hot chocolate came to just over $60.00. read more

Food is always fresh and well prepared. Have eaten a few lunches there, but mostly breakfast and it is a go-to for me for a breakfast wrap when I take my walk. The only downside is when there is an obnoxious customer in there that is behaving worse than most kindergarteners and throwing tantrums about wearing a mask to keep everyone safe. Dude, it's ten minutes, are you THAT much of a snowflake? You DO realize that children follow rules better than you. And on the off chance your medical degree with s specialty in immunology was NOT obtained at the University of TikTOk or Facebook U...I sincerely apologize. The food here is DELICIOUS!!! We came here for breakfast three times while we were staying in Annapolis. It's inexpensive and everything we had was yummy. My husband got the burrito con carne with chicken every time we came. I got this healthy breakfast scramble the first time and then the biscuits and gravy the next 2 times. So yes, get the biscuits and gravy The first time we came we got pancakes for our daughter. They tasted like they had a bit too much baking soda in them. The next times we came they were much better. read more

This is a hidden gem in Annapolis. Stumbled on it on my way back from tennis. It's a cosy restaurant with sitting outside and inside. Great food.. you definitely should try the cheesesteak. Also great for date brunch ideas. Eat at the restaurant and walk around the Pier. I'll definitely be back. read more

stopped in on fathers day to grab breakfast. restaurant was very busy but managed to snag a table outside pretty quickly. I ordered a veggie omelette my partner had a meat omelette, food came out an hour later. my omelette was cooked to a crisp, the veggies inside were burnt black, unidentifiable and inedible. the single piece of toast was also burnt black. how could anyone send out food like that? disgusting! live music was playing so loudly conversations were impossible. meal was brought back to the kitchen where I was looked at blankly before a woman grabbed the plate of food and dumped it in the trash without any apology or offer of replacement. read more

We stopped in on a trip to National Harbor. It was a great little location, at the marina. It was a Sunday. First of all the music was stupid loud (live music outside seating). I like music and liked the band but unbelievably over bearing. We waited an hour for the food so had to cover my ears after a while. My wife had a veggie omelette and toast. Both veggies in omelette and toast were burnt. Very much a bummer. read more

Went here a couple weeks ago on vacation and I am getting around to sharing my family's experience. First off, food was nothing special. But finding a hair in the meal of my picky daughter that was clearly not ours, color and texture doesn't fit any of us, was beyond when the owner barked at my husband and myself about said hair. It's hard enough finding places kids will eat, so adding to the hassle with the trauma caused by my child first finding the hair and then yelling at our table that it could not possibly have come from your staff is ludicrous. You must not have kids to know your behavior was completely inappropriate. Shame on you. My family and friends in Annapolis and Serverna Park know our story and needless to say, you lost a lot of business by being such a nasty person. Learn some customer service skills, Lady. And interesting how your other negative reviews show your true colors when God forbid your staff drops the ball. read more

Super friendly staff !!!! Customer service on point . Hand sanitizer when you walk in . I got the hippie hash browns with beyond meat ( super happy) they do vegetarian options. I got my food to go got home and it was so good , you can tell the use fresh local ingredients. Will eat here again bonus they are dog friendly!! Quite area right in the harbor they had live music playing on Sunday. Give them a try if you are in the area highly recommended this places! read more

What a nice surprise to have such an enjoyable lunch by the water in Eastport. Waterfront dining options are so limited in Annapolis! I'm a card carrying meat eater, but the vegan oyster MUSHROOM po' boy sandwich recommendation was SUPERB! And the staff are so friendly and pleasant, not to mention helpful. I can not wait to eat here again. It really was fun, enjoyable, satisfying, and aesthetically delightful. And the food was truly excellent. read more

***** Great place to spend a beautiful fall morning! ***** Living in Annapolis, I have an aversion to driving to Eastport. Nothing against the self-proclaimed Maritime Republic mind you, it's just you never know if the bridge will go up. Stopping for the drawbridge though isn't necessarily a bad thing. It can make you stop and smell the roses. But it reminds you that if your restaurant of choice doesn't pan out, you have fewer options than if you'd stayed in Annapolis proper. read more

We just went for a drive in Annapolis, pulled into the chart house parking lot, and took in the beautiful dockside view. Tables were set up outside, inviting us to sit for a while. Instead we noticed the restaurant, small and quaint. The staff was kind. Even the amenities were considerate and thoughtful (offering toilet paper was a great touch). No line inside because they'll bring the food out to your table. They also have a star program to encourage repeat business. The food was delicious. I ordered breakfast but the bigger ordered by my fiancé looked amazing. Give this local treasure a visit! read more

Nice setting with outside seating, music on weekend mornings. I had the basic 2 egg brekkie, wife had breakfast burrito. I had asked for scrambled with cheese, it came with no cheese. If you live in the area, this place should already be on your list of top places to go. The food is fantastic, literally hits the spot each and every time. There's no debate on the quality and variety. But this place goes far beyond. For starters, it is owned and operated by one of the most incredible people you will ever meet, a woman who consistently gives, supports and honors those around her. This was a great find and the customer service really did it for me. The location is on a smaller size we had a party of 6 and it was still comfortable and cozy. It is bright on the inside very clean and you are able to on look the dock as you eat. We got a couple of dishes I got the egg sandwich on wheat and I substitute the bacon for deli turkey (because I don't eat pork) and a side of Blueberry Yogurt. I normally eat my eggs over easy but I was so in galloped on the whole E that it slipped my mind to ask. The eggs where Scrambled with american cheese on wheat bread. I ate half the sandwich and was satisfied. The yogurt was a blueberry flavor. It was smooth and creamy not full of sugar- it was so good. We also got a chicken biscuit and when you think of a chicken biscuit you think of a small biscuit with a small peice of chicken well you have another thing coming, they don't serve this entree with a knife for no reason.. My oh my this sandwich was so well put together. This I would definitely go back for it had a sauce on it that at first thought it was grease but it's not. We also had the homemade chips and a side of French Fries. The food came out hot and ready Both dishes where a win. If I could give them more stars I would. Don't be spewing your St. Pete hate in our town where we not only devour and eat all of the deliciousness Monica and her team are serving each day, we volunteer alongside her when feeding our struggling neighbors. DELICIOUS!!! The food at this restaurant was so delicious that we came back the following day. The service and view were a plus but what was even better were the precautions taken during this pandemic. With masks being worn as a precaution by employees, and as a requirement to enter, proved to me that not only do they cook phenomenally but they also care for their employees, families and patrons. Today I wanted to find a spot in Annapolis that was small, intimate and great views to sit and work on my book. Bread and Butter totally fit that bill. It's small in stature on the inside, but I am currently sitting outside overlooking the marina, putting final touches on my memoir. (Awesome use of space in the back!!!) It was a perfect choice for the atmosphere I was looking for. I came for breakfast based on reviews and of course after seeing the video on their website. I ordered the make your own omelette and a side of the cinnamon pancake. The omelette was plentiful but not overly stuffing. The pancake was like eating a cinnamon roll with syrup. I was instantly mad that there was only one pancake on the side order, wish I had more. I will definitely come back if for nothing more that those pancakes and the view. Follow your GPS because it is a little off the main road in the back of other businesses. Staff was very accommodating and professional. There was good parking as well. Monica I saw you when you came in and wanted to say hi and introduce myself. By the way I enjoyed your video. I figured a good review would be more needed and helpful. Established in 2016, Bread and Butter Kitchen began by providing meals-to-go at the local farmers market. Sourcing ingredients directly from farmers and making everything from scratch, we provided our customers with fully prepared, delicious meals they could trust. In May 2017, Bread and Butter Kitchen opened the doors to the cafe. Offering breakfast and lunch, 7 days a week, we continue to work with local farmers to source our ingredients and make meals from scratch. Meet the Business Owner: Monica A.

After losing her job in 2012, Monica Alvarado took a brief sabbatical from the corporate world. It was during this time that she rediscovered her passion for cooking and began a blog that was focused on making delicious food using local ingredients. The blog provided an outlet for her to share her recipes, as well as interview local farmers and vendors in the Annapolis area. Over time, she realized that the time she spent in the kitchen was far more fulfilling than the time she spent in boardrooms. A reformed corporate rock star, Monica left her 22 year career in technology in 2016 to start Bread and Butter Kitchen with the vision of sharing her passion for making amazing food that celebrates local ingredients. Monica works closely with local farmers and vendors to source the best ingredients available. She and her amazing team serve up great food 7 days a week at the cafe. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. Absolutely phenomenal place. One of our go to favorites. It's an unassuming location with a fantastic view of a marina and the Annapolis harbor. The food is unbelievable, whether breakfast or lunch. Some of our faves include the BBK breakfast and the BBK burger, the Banh Mi Bowl, the Hippy Hash Skillet, the gyro, and, well, everything. Love the ice cream and the ice cream sandwiches and always stop in for the queso and sausage to take home. On top of all of it, the owner and staff are wonderful. Monica helps everyone who needs it and is an amazing boss and the staff is always happy and helpful. They offer local delivery, which is so awesome, including staff lunches and breakfasts. It's definitely one of the best meals in town. Don't miss it! Of you're downtown, take the water taxi and make it an adventure! read more

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day so I was thrilled to start off my day with a burrito from Bread and Butter. It was jammed packed with eggs, cheese, and chorizo, which added a special little kick. I would eat these every day if I could. As you walk in, you are greeted with homey decor in a clean, open space. You can watch the busy bees in the kitchen cooking your food if you don't get distracted by the gorgeous views of the harbor. The staff were extremely friendly and pleasant. You can tell they love working there. Monica, the owner, was very welcoming and made you feel as though you were a special guest in her home. Best food in the area hands down. Was only in the area for a few hours and had to try after seeing the welcoming environment! Thank you for those signs out front and the messaging throughout! It's hard to always find somewhere welcoming. Ordered and ate way too much, I think I was busting at the seams, and I'd do it again too LOL. Fresh ingredients served by some kick ass staff. Next time I fly up, I will be here again. Perfect food, wouldn't change any of it - except if I could transplant it to Chicago. Keep up the amazing work! read more

I've been coming to Bread and Butter Kitchen from the beginning and I love everything on the menu. My favorite is the Chicken Cheesesteak but, honestly, everything is fantastically done with that extra bit of love. The service is so welcoming and kind. I'm a big fan of the location right on the water. I regularly slip in and out with takeout orders but I also enjoy sitting outside on the water. This is a must-eat-at-restaurant for locals and for visitors. Stop reading this and get your butt to Eastport for their food! read more

This place is fantastic. The staff are extremely friendly and you can tell they genuinely love working at this restaurant. Anytime I pass through Maryland I always make it a point to stop here for breakfast, their breakfast sandwiches is unbelievable. The bread alone is worth coming here for! They have a great variety of options for anyone with food restrictions or food allergies. Great place, wonderful atmosphere, very welcoming, and I will continue to be an avid customer!!!! read more

This is honestly the safest restaurant I've ever been to. I feel so included and welcome, and everyone was so incredibly friendly. The restaurant is clean, free of clutter, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. I got the chicken Panini and honestly thought I died and went to heaven. I am home sick with Covid and I'm doing my part to not infect anyone else so I'm laying in my bed with my throat on fire, knowing it would be so much worse if I was unvaccinated. As I'm scrolling through TikTok I see the owner do a video of her restaurant and being from PA, I'm close enough for a road trip. Can't wait to support your accepting and inclusive business!! Fantastic weekend brunch is served here. Service was spot on and able to sit down almost immediately. Hands down, the best Banh Mi quinoa grain bowl I've ever had and my wife loved her Banh MI Burger! Everything is great. Quirky décor amazingly friendly staff and amazing food and drink menu. 5 hateful stars. I can't even believe I went in here and the words on the walls hurt me so much. It was summer, my snowflake body melted as I struggled through the waitstaff being pleasant and accommodating. Why can't you solve my self-actualization issues that I spew back as not accepting that which I don't understand? read more

I love this place drove all the way from New Jersey to try the food Salsa de Huevos is my favorite breakfast dish! I love how they have Black Lives Matter sticker on the front door. That made me feel very welcomed! The owners are amazing and very polite checked on us as we dined in. Overall best experience read more

We love this place! Food is top notch and fresh. They get their bread delivered fresh from the last Italian bakery on Baltimore for the best subs! Good sausage gravy for breakfast and more. We love getting breakfast on a weekend too and have a leisurely brunch at their tables overlooking the water. read more

This is a cozy cafe located right on the docks in Eastport. I've had both breakfast and lunch here. Everything has tasted delicious and homemade. I recommend the biscuits and gravy for breakfast and the banh mi burger for lunch. read more
