Their lattes are great, our server let us know they offer milk alternatives and flavors. I always enjoy myself a caramel latte with oat milk. It is huge and definitely wakes you up. Later in the day visits, I'll sometimes have a French 75. They add cognac to theirs as well. It is never too sweet and comes perfectly chilled. It is my favorite cocktail of all time and their rendition of it is stellar. Always has a kick to it. Food 5/5: We've enjoyed several menu items and can't say any of them have ever been bad. Our absolute go to is their tomato soup! It is always piping hot and super rich in flavor. It can be served with a puff pastry or without (always go with!) On lighter days we'll opt for the poached egg or the baguette with jam. Both delicious options if you aren't wanting something too heavy. We also recommend the crispy potatoes and have yet to try the rice croquettes because they are always out. Service 5/5: Spot on and friendly every time. Always super patient with us. My experience was awful. We called ahead for a party of 10 and they act like we were speaking French When we arrived. I think they were more concerned about the locals showing with no where to sit. Quaint cafe that gives you a feeling of France in the ATL. Stopped by with my wife after she had a few previous visits. It was a slower Monday morning, so we had excellent service. The server recommended his drink of choice from their full service espresso bar, an ice latte with oat milk and lavender. Never really tried espresso with lavender before, but was quite nice. My wife had their poached egg on toast Barati bread with field greens. She added the avocado spread with ham, and pecorino cheese finished with truffle oil. It was like a lovely open-faced egg sandwich that looked beautiful. The egg can be cooked to how you prefer if you are not a fan of poached eggs. I had the B&B egg sandwich with prosciutto, mortadella, and Gruyère. It was not a visually stunning at the open face sandwich my wife got but it was really good. The sandwich is pressed and the egg is not cooked to order, but comes out over medium. We shared a side of crispy fried potatoes with aioli that were good, and an Almond Croissant with and almond spread that was to die for. They have some interesting cocktails on the menu that I would like to come back and try along with their pancake. The location is not far from the east Beltline by Krog street so I'm sure it gets pretty busy, during great weather and weekends. This is a review of the food, not the service. We ordered squash soup and mushroom tart to share. Squash soup was in what was essentially a cup, and oddly spicy which later we learned was more like their night menu of Haitian/W.African food. This would have been fine if it had been described BEFORE we ordered it (we wouldn't have done so in the morning). The goat cheese and mushroom tart was two small medallions of puff pastry and barely any goat cheese w/ a sprinkling of wild mushrooms. It was more like an appetizer than full course. I wanted to like this place much more. Service was excellent and the interior reminiscent of a French bistro. We also received a warm welcome when we arrived (on a weekday). I've been here several times for brunch, so it's high time I wrote a well-deserved review! If you're looking for a cute French spot with a straightforward menu (that they do consistently well), look no further. Given its prime location in Inman Park, you can often expect to wait in order to dine at Bread & Butterfly, but trust me, it'll always be worth it (plus there's many cool places nearby to walk around and explore after you put your name down)! They've got a decent amount of indoor and patio seating, as well as a few spots at the bar (where you can also get full service). I've tried their croissants, omelette, baguette with jam, poached eggs, pancake, potatoes and more - everything is cooked to perfection! Oh, and GET THE FRENCH 75...one of the best in Atlanta. They don't need a fancy/elaborate menu because of how well they prepare and execute just about everything - and that's what makes Bread & Butterfly an absolute treat. Went here for dinner. Maybe this level of cuisine is just too far out of my experience - but I didn't feel like the price matched quantity or quality of the food. Especially the quantity. I have never been to a restaurant (including many in the same price point) where I couldn't make a meal out of a couple appetizers. Had no sense ahead of time how small the appetizers would be. Salad? About the size of a teacup saucer. Grilled quail? Two wings that provided only a few bites of actual food. In my opinion, the restaurant needs to make it explicitly clear on their website, on the in person menu, etc. that the only way someone can get a full meal is by having one of the large plates. I did look at the Google images beforehand, but those were almost entirely of brunch dishes. So if anyone from Bread & Butterfly is reading this - do better. I was so incredibly excited to try this place because we live in the area and love to eat out frequently. We were hoping to find a new favorite place. When we arrived (party of 4) we were told it would be a 45 minute wait. We were happy to comply. After waiting 55 minutes and watching everyone who came after us get seated -- literally watching the hostess break up 4 tops to seat parties of 2 or 3 that came after us -- we asked the hostess how much longer she lied to our face and said the people on the wait list were here before us. She couldn't admit her error and basically dismissed us. Such a disappointment. Unfortunately for them we love to spend money at restaurants. I was so pleasantly surprised by Bread & Butterfly. I initially came here for brunch with friends and everyone loved it. I had to circle back again one week later. The ambiance is cozy, customer service is incredible, and the food is amazing. I mean really really good! So far I've had the burger, the fried potatoes, the big pancake, and the omelette du jour. All of them were delish. The manager there, Brandon, is great. Very kind and attentive to customers. He removed an item from our bill when there was a slight miscommunication on ingredients. Best brunch I've had in a long time! I came here this afternoon for brunch with one of my friends. Firstly, the ambiance is beautiful and transports you to Paris. I loved that the table my friend and I were seated at on the porch faced the street, so it felt like a private dining experience even though others shared the room. We each had a lavender latte (delicious!) as well as croissants with a side of jam. The croissants were so flaky and buttery... I could've had 10. For my meal, I had the soft omelet with greens. Let me start by saying -- if it's good enough for Dua Lipa, it's good enough for me. But really, this is one of -- if not THE -- best brunch spot in Atlanta. Located in Inman Park, it receives less brunch attention than other local favorites like Folk Art and Beetlecat, and I can't for the life of me figure out why! It is just as trendy and just as delicious -- but I'm not complaining about the (comparatively) short wait. I arrived with a group of 7 on a Saturday at 12:30 -- bold, I know. But we were seated in under 45mins. Everywhere else in the area quoted 90+ mins or simply stated they would not be able to accommodate a group of our size. Yet, the hostess at B&B was polite, helpful, and more than willing to help us find a spot! We were seated on their outdoor, covered patio at a large table under a space heater. The space heater works WELL -- our whole table, even those seated furthest away -- were warm. For a sunny day, maybe a little too warm! My group decided to order individual plates though we all sampled a little of this and a little of that from one another. Here's what I tested: - Pistachio Croissant ($4.5): We got one of the last ones and I'm so glad we did! The croissant not only had pistachios sprinkled on top, but was sliced in half with a sweet pistachio filling AND chocolate. Order one ASAP to make sure they're not sold out. - Pancake ($9.50): One word -- wow. I'm not one to order a sweet item for breakfast, so we split this between the table, and so glad we did! The single pancake is bigger than your face, smothered in butter and light syrup (add more for $0.75). Absolutely delicious -- fluffy, golden, and served piping hot! - Poached egg ($4.75) on batard toast with greens, add 12-month Bayonne ham and pecorino ($6.25): Highly recommend trying at least one cured meat while you're here, and this is how I chose to do it! The ham was like prosciutto in texture, but more tender. The poached egg was perfectly done -- soft and creamy! The greens were the star of the show, all very fresh and a little salty with the bit of sprinkled pecorino cheese. The bread itself was also good and I'd love to visit the bakery (Little Tart Bakeshop) that it's sourced from. - B&B Egg Sandwich / Croque Madame ($9.25): Toasted bread served with a fried egg, prosciutto, and gruyère -- the ultimate breakfast sandwich! My boyfriend is not a fan of cured meats but he said he would come back to eat this for breakfast anytime. So, it gets a stamp of approval. - Crispy fried potatoes & aioli ($6): You can get these served with a burger or as a side (and you absolutely should!) The outside is crisp and the inside is airy and soft. The best texture to fried potatoes I've ever had. I also loved that they actually tasted like potato (?) as they were only very lightly salted. The aioli had been used up by the time I got around to trying these, but I think that speaks for itself! Literally not a single dish I wasn't obsessed with, and I had to restrain myself from ordering more. Our service was also great throughout the meal! The waitress split the check and made sure to ask how we wanted to divide shared items (we didn't need to, but it was appreciated!) Overall, a fantastic brunch spot for anyone! read more

We went here based on a recommendation from another restauranteur; we were intrigued by the fact that it was a black-owned Restaurant. We had a long wait, because of no reservation, although we did get seated early on the outside patio. Which had ceiling fans, and we know Atlanta has been hot. The restaurant was simple but warm. Plenty of seating just felt comfortable. We had the gumbo and a biscuit based on a recipe from Edna Lewis, a famous cook in NYC. I had been hearing good things about brunch at B+B and I finally had a chance to check it out. Environment: Very classic Parisian bistro look to this restaurant and the patio and sun room are good options on a nice, sunny day. Food/drink: Ordered the Polenta and a Mocha Capuccino and my friend got the Tomato Soup. The Polenta dish was surprisingly delicious! I got the egg cooked over medium, the polenta itself was smooth in texture, the butter beans were a great addition, and the chili added some nice heat to the dish. It all came together exceptionally well! I did not try the Tomato Soup, but the puff pastry looked tasty and my friend enjoyed the soup. I also enjoyed my Mocha Capuccino. Service: Sadly, our server was not friendly, and had a snippy attitude as though she was irritated that we would have the audacity to ask questions about the menu and want to order food from her (perhaps try not to get mad at your customers just because you don't like your job or are having a bad day?) So, minus one star for the bad service and also because the single chairs at the tables are not very comfortable to sit and dine in. read more

Came in this past Saturday morning for brunch. They open at 10am on the weekend. We got there right at 10 and there were already quite a few people waiting for it to open as well. We were quickly seated once it hit 10am. We sat in the more inside room. I wish we could have sat closer to the windows! The inside is very quaint and lots of natural light. Our waitress quickly greeted us and took our coffee order. I got an oat milk latte. My husband got an Americano. For food, we got the B&B giant cake (aka a huge pancake) and the B&B breakfast sandwich (croque Madame). Our food came out quickly. The pancake is very large! It comes with very little butter and syrup. We wanted to order more maple syrup (it is extra sadly) but our waitress didn't come over in time. The pancake itself was very fluffy and tasty though.
