This place was outstanding and checks all the boxes. My server, Chris, was excellent. Everything I ordered was fantastic as well, including the French toast, which is available in a half order. All of the staff I interacted with was friendly and I would 100% recommend.

A classic brunch that doesn't let you down is C always good in my book. I came to brunch with friends on a lazy Sunday & Murphy's was exactly what we needed. The food was really good; I got French toast. The only note was our service could've been a little better, but we were also a group of 10, so things happen. I'll be back!

4/5 Customer service, our server was welcoming and professional 4/5 Ambiance - Clean, seating was okay, felt a bit cramped at times. Walking space between tables is tight. 3/5 Food was decent. I had a waffle with chicken sausage. It wasn't terrible ( it was brunch ) and the breakfast waffle and chicken sausage was standard with fruit for a little razzle dazzle. Nothing exceptionally stood out except for the cocktails, I enjoyed my drink.

First time having brunch here and I get why it's always packed on Sundays. Great home made Bloody Mary and a wonderful Brunch menu with tons of options.

4.5 stars to be exact. There are not many casual-fine dining American restaurants near Midtown Atlanta, and I am glad to find this one. It is located on the center of Virginia Highland. Only about 1mi from Eastside Beltline. Have it a try recently. The restaurant had many seats, a huge patio and a separate room for bar seatings. So it was not difficult to reserve a table. The inside was bright and the vibe was good for a family-style meal. For food, I got the Grilled Artichokes, Carolina Trout, and side of bread. I only had artichokes with pizza and artichoke dips before. The grilled ones were quite different: they were large, and the leaves were so chewy that I could not eat it. Later my server taught me how to eat it: I should only eat the bottom of it and the meat on the leaves. These parts were mashy, a litttle juicy, and a bit sweet -- somewhat like Chinese white carrots. The Carolina Trout was good. In particular, the parsnip puree and grapes were creative. The thinly sliced almonds was nutty and crispy. All these went well with the two filet. The whole dish was savory, with a slight hint of sweetness. However, I wish there was browned butter so that the puree would not be completely soaked in it. Finally, their bread basket was tiny, one basket was only about 2.5oz. The restaurant also has an extensive lunch menu featuring many dishes on the dinner menu as well as many sandwiches. I am interested in e.g. brisket sandwich. Will give it a try next year:)

Came for brunch on a weekend. We were seated fairly quickly. I got the special, steak and eggs. We got for crispy calamari, egg slum, and I got a pumpkin spiced latte. The pumpkin spiced latte was okay, I did not really taste the pumpkin but the coffee was good. The steak was cooked pretty well! And I enjoyed the sauce with it. The egg slum was not my favorite to be honest. There were wayyy too many potatoes compared to sausage and bacon. It was like eating endless potatoes. The calamari was crispy and I really liked both the sauces that came with it. We were also given a basket of muffins and bread to enjoy! Both the bread and muffin were good. The service was friendly and attentive! Overall, I enjoyed brunch here and will be back.

Went for my gal's birthday dinner. More than I usually spend but worth it. Classy, but casual ambiance in the dining room. Bar was huge with plenty of seating. Server did a great job taking care of us. Was attentive to anything we wanted not already on the table. Gal had the butternut squash flatbread as an appetizer and the pasta dish for her main meal. I had the kale salad with feta and raisins, Parmesan French fries, and Mac and cheese. The food was good. Would have given an extra star, but the dishes (salad/Mac and cheese) were a little too heavy on the sauces for my taste. The toll house pie is worth going just for dessert. Unique and not like anything I've ever had and I'm a cookie snob. Will definitely return for another meal, perhaps lunch.

Cornbread muffins and biscuit with their butter and jam were delicious. Eggs slum mulligan was ok, one egg was overcooked. Flavor was ok. Crab cakes Benedict also was ok, kind of fishy and soft.

Great food and great service. If the weather is nice, you have to sit outside. It's a great vibe.

We started with the complimentary biscuits and muffins. I tried and was impressed by both, and I liked that they were smaller in size so that I could save room for what was to come. The trio of jams and butter were delicious as well. For my entree, I ordered the French toast which was delicious. The bread had a slight crust, yet the bread was soft and fluffy enough to soak up the egg and whiskey syrup. I also loved the caramelized banana slice on the side. I rounded out my meal with an espresso martini, which offered a robust flavor profile thanks to the rich espresso and coffee liqueur. The service was great, and I loved the quaint decor. I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

I enjoyed my experience here especially the pancakes (7/10) and the Quiche Lorraine (8/10). The service could have been a bit better as it appeared our waitress was a bit disinterested but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt as it was pretty busy when we went. I would go back if I was in the area.

I had high hopes for this place. Made reservations for weekend brunch. The restaurant was extremely busy which I took as a good sign. We ordered the Eggs Slum Mulligan and the Crab Cake Benedict. The crab cakes were very fishy and a big turn off for sure. The whites of the eggs were also not set, so it made for an even messier experience than expected. The slum mulligan was fine. I feel like I say this a lot, but really nothing spectacular to write about here. I wouldn't go out of my way to brunch here, but maybe I'll try lunch and/or dinner sometime.

Pretty decent brunch place! It was a little crowded so took 10 mins or so to get seated. Everything came out nice and warm. Enjoyed my crab cake Benedict, although the home fries could've been crisped up more. Pancake was delicious and also nice and fluffy. There is mostly street parking but they do have where you can valet. The space inside is classy and clean. I would go back

    How is brunch?

Really good. I've been going to brunch there for over 25 years. Enjoy.

Is there a good space for parking?

    nope

Does Murphy's still add a small charge for diners paying with a credit card?

    Don't know, haven't been back

Does this establishment have an all-you-can-eat option?

    Nope

What suggestions do y'all have for a vegetarian dinner?

They actually have a fall vegetable plate. But you may be happy with any of their wonderful salads ( I have had the kale salad) and grilled artichokes. They do provide delightful bread there too

    What about dinner at Murphy's?

I've only had their lunch once. I ordered the mixed greens and a brisket sandwich. It was recommended by our waitress. There's a brisket something on the dinner menu...which should be good. Let me know what you decide on and how you like it. :)

I told my husband that the good, colorful food combined with the ambience and amazing service made me feel like I was on a vacation. I love this place and have added to one of my favorites. Cheers!
