I love this bakery so much! Their cakes are so light and airy but strong in flavor. We've solely used them for our family's birthdays and celebrations, so when my mom retired we knew exactly who to call to celebrate the occasion! Jasmin and Mike helped me create a cake through phone and email, since I moved, and I love how it turned out. My mom and all her coworkers got a kick out of it and my mom shared how crazy delicious it was. She is currently saving a slice for me in her freezer so I can enjoy it when she comes to visit in the next few weeks. Thank you so much for helping me celebrate my mom's retirement from afar! Great little spot. We ordered the chorizo burrito and the chile verde burrito. Both were delicious, loved the tortilla they came in. We also tried the strawberry mousse that came in a delicate little coffee cup made of chocolate, again so good. The mousse was light and fluffy. All the pastries looked really tasty and we will definitely be back to try more of the breakfast/lunch items. Would def recommend. read more

Today 7/2 I had walked in to get breakfast for my and my family, I always come to this place sometime they take a while sometimes they don't. But the communication with this business is horrible. I had a issue with the tip machine, it automatically generates a tip for you if you don't catch it, it will process the tip. So I asked why my order was so high and the employee said I chose a tip, never did I chose one so she said the order was canceled and you will receive your money back in 3-4 days and she wanted me to re pay again. The owner has horrible communication and the way I felt I will never come to this business at all, I realized they don't care about there customer they just care to see there services more than that. He count at lease say sorry or anything I even called back to speak to someone!! I am really upset at this, but the owner should know how to communicate better. read more

The coffee was extremely good, I had a macchiato with banana added in (which might sound weird) but it was incredible. A+++. The service was great; everyone was super nice and friendly and went over the top for being as packed as they were. The building was super clean and organized. Great atmosphere. I'm a texture person, so I wasn't a fan of whole strips of bacon and large slices of potatoes etc. chopped up would've been much better, but again, it did taste great! We've been visiting this bakery since they opened. The first few visits we stopped in for some sweets and we were always pleased by the variety and quality! The service was also great! After a couple visits, I stopped in to order a birthday cake and got to speak to the owner who mentioned they were just starting to offer ice cream cakes using ice cream from the business next door, Rolling Creamery. Let me just say my birthday cake was amazing! Decorated beautifully and so tasty. They offer so many cakes, even a great variety for people who walk in and want to get one from the case. We had always eyed the cafe menu and had seen the food they were serving to customers upon previous visits. The food always looked good and the portions were huge so upon our visit yesterday, my husband and I finally decided to order from the cafe menu. We got the chicken flautas and when I say our only regret was waiting this long to try them, I truly mean it. 5 huge chicken flautas topped in lettuce, creama, cheese, pickled onions, and radishes. The amount of chicken and flavor of the chicken in the flautas was perfection! The pickled onions and radishes added such a nice touch too. We both loved them and look forward to trying more items on the menu including the breakfast menu which we found out is served all day. The service was great and helpful again yesterday. read more

I had a fantastic experience working with Mike to have a custom cake made for my boyfriend's mother's birthday. I called roughly 6 days prior to when I needed the cake (called on a Friday, needed it the following Thursday), he got back to me quickly and provided a variety of options and instruction to get started on ideas. I went to the shop the next day to finalize and pay, and plan the pickup date and time. I was SO THRILLED when I first saw the cake! It was ready on time, it was gorgeous, and they went above and beyond on the design. Plus - it tasted GREAT!! She absolutely loved it, and I think for the detail, short notice, and quality it was very well priced. 100% planning to return for future cake needs, as well as to try everything in their shop because it all looks amazing/delicious. I'm not too sure we will be making a next visit. My first question I should had asked was what was fresh in their display. Half of our order we threw out because the bread was rock hard. We had placed a cinnamon roll in the microwave to soften it up but it didn't taste right. You can tell the roll must had been there for a day or two. Flavor was way off. Really hoped this place was better. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I dislike that there are no prices of any pastries/cakes/breads posted anywhere. No one wants to be that person who is constantly asking "how much is this?". First time I went there I purchased two cream/fruit filled pastries that came out to $9 and were extremely dry and all bread. Second time I decided to purchase a cheesecake that came out to $70. It was an average tasting cake, would've been happier purchasing one from Costco to be honest. I'm honestly one to not look at price too often; if I think something is quality and tastes great I'll purchase it but these prices are double where I'd value it at. Even though this place recently opened, I can not recommend this place. I went here to try their Mexican Sweet Bread. I bought a variety. It's just simply not very good at all. The bread was all very dry. Every type I tried was dry and lacked enough flavor. Especially the Niño Envuelto. The turnovers were really bland. I also tried their corn bread muffins. These were not dry but had way too much corn inside for my taste. On top of all this, the bread is a bit pricey. I gave two stars instead of one because the service was good. Bottom line is, if you want great Mexican Sweet Bread, go to La Perla Bakery on White Lane. They don't miss! read more
