Service was excellent, everyone there is super nice and well mannered. The pastries were amazing. We will be back.

My husband and I came to Bread and Honey for brunch, and overall the experience was just okay. The food was fine -- nothing memorable, but not bad either. It was very greasy tho. The service, however, was genuinely good, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The prices felt a bit on the high side for what we got, which makes me unsure if I'd return. It wasn't a terrible experience, just not impressive enough for the cost.

A nice little spot with fresh baked goods that are amazing! The menu and selections are quite large and most items are on display for you to see and choose! The worker at the front was very nice and helpful. She was able to box our order fast and explain what several items were! My favorite by far were the mochi donuts and the strawberry and cream croissant! If you're looking for a sweet treat this i definitely a must try!

Bread and Honey has been around for awhile, and a few years ago when I was pregnant I was a regular. Like weekly, sometimes 2x a week! Now my daughter is almost 2 and it is a long drive, so we really havent been going that much. Recently I stopped in during a work break and was able to purchase a bunch of pastries. I noticed quite a bit of the space had changed. The entry doors are opposite and there seems to be more seating. The pastry cases moved slightly. I was helped by someone super patient because it was difficult getting answers from my coworkers on what they want quickly. He was very chill. It was close to closing so I was glad for that kindness. The pastries look mostly the same, changed maybe style a little bit and a few more in variety. He mentioned that the business had been bought out by new people. I was happy to see they tweaked it just enough to put their twist on it without taking away all the things I love about this place. I really enjoyed my blueberry cream cheese danish. Cant wait to come back and check it out again soon.

The Breakfast burrito! The tortillas are delicious and the chorizo is wonderful. Flat whites were delicious. Donuts yummy. Service was slow, there was only one waitress and one cook, so it was understandable, just be aware when you go to dine in. Oh also they've upped their prices see menu pics

Wanted some good coffee and dessert on a Saturday afternoon so we decided to stop by here since we haven't been here and reviews seemed pretty decent. As soon as you come in, you are welcomed by displays of different desserts and donuts. They also have a coffee menu posted with some seasonal drinks. We ordered a couple of desserts since we thought they go well with coffee. Our coffees, unfortunately, were such a letdown. There was not enough caffeine and our drinks tasted a bit bland. Too bad, it would have been a nice little go-to spot.

We were looking for something new and Bread & Honey came across my Yelp app. The lunch menu showed sandwiches. This worked perfectly before running some afternoon errands. The place was easy to find. There was plenty of parking. They have some outside tables, but we ate inside. The turkey and avocado sandwich sounded good. We ordered it with fries. Our server was efficient. They split the plate for us. This is a good-sized sandwich, and the perfect filled us up. The soda fountain lemonade was delicious. These were some of the tastiest fries I've had in some time. Crunchy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside. The place was spotless and well kept. There a dessert counter that is irresistible. We'll have to return. And it looks like they have a great breakfast menu too. This is a good place to stop if you want to try something delicious!

So my first thoughts of this place when I walked in was "What a disaster!" All the tables were dirty and the staff just seem unorganized. Disclaimer I gave this place a 3-star because of the cleanliness and disorganization. The food is what saved this place from a totally horrible review. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was delicious and so was my glass of orange juice. Now if you get the breakfast burrito you must get a side of gravy with it! You can thank me later! My burrito was on some next level type sh!t lol. My advice to the owner a little bit of focus on the over all cleanliness of the place and it will go a long way. Nobody wants to sit and order food while they stare at a dusty napkin holder.

Had one of my friends stop and pick up something sweet so we can have after dinner. She picked up 3 cheesecakes and 1 churro cheesecake. All of the desserts were dry and not good. Almost like they had been sitting for days. Definitely won't be going back.

You know, I would keep the five star on here for the actual pastries but every time I've come in here, I have dealt with customer service issues. One time I went in and somebody was rude this time coming in and they are shortstaffed. Today I wanted to make multiple purchases for lots of pastries because it's my boyfriend's birthday. I had waited so long in line that I just wanted one cheesecake slice. I no longer had the time to ask what things were and I no longer had the time to wait to even pick anything else out. If there had been someone else working, I would've purchased quite a bit. I guess helps my diet. But it doesn't help the business not making sales. I won't stop coming here and enjoying pastries, but just hopefully I will go to this location with a half an hour to spare.

I find it interesting that Bakersfield had these cafes that are full service restaurants. Works for me cause I was hunger for a complete meal anyhow. Rolled in on a Monday afternoon, place was empty, but the crowd rolled in primarily at 4pm! I sat outside which could use some ceiling fans, but was nice. Server came out and super friendly. I gone fish tacos which were delish! The perfect garnish combo and good size serving. I opted out of the beans and rice and copped me some tater tots. My iced lavender latte was more pretty than it was tasty, but still enjoyed. Perfect lunch for mua. They clearly specialize in baked goods as well. I'm not a sweets person, but a few folks came in to purchase sweets for takeaway. Large shared parking lot, nice outdoor patio in front of store. Outlets inside. Good for doing a little work.

I always get birthday cakes here! They listen, take notes, and pictures of what you want and produce it! Beautiful and VERY tasty. We always get compliments on the taste and look.

Arrived with my three daughters shortly before it became extremely busy for brunch on a Saturday. They seemed short staffed for restaurant, bakery, and coffee orders. However, the staff remained focused and friendly. I ordered the Slammer sandwich and an iced Dark Chocolate Mocha latte. Both were fabulous. The children's menu offered large portions and the price is similar to adult entrees.

If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. The servers are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you're satisfied with your food/drinks.

We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. Our server was attentive and informative. She took great care of us and even made conversation, which added to the overall experience. Overall, such a good visit. We'll definitely be back!

The vibes in the new space are absolutely immaculate. There is so much more energy here, and the decorations are incredibly cute. It's the perfect backdrop for a killer meal. The Main Event: This time around, I went with the En Fuego Burger. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. The Flavor Profile: This burger delivers on every level, but those fried onion strings were to die for. For the side, I got the sweet potato fries, which are served as big, thick-cut wedges. They come paired with a duo of spicy ketchup and a marshmallow dipping sauce. Switching between the two was amazing, the marshmallow sauce actually makes the fries feel like a dessert. The Drink: To wash it all down, I ordered the basil lemonade, and omg, I need to figure out how to recreate this at home. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.

SMITTENS STAPLE IS THEIR ABILITY TO MISS THE FLAVOR IN EVER SINGLE DISH…read more Update: coming back after some palate development... smitten is one of the most tasteless restaurants in town. Their hype was definitely due to the 'aesthetic'. Nothing is really outstanding to me. The drinks are such a let down, the coffee is borderline yuck.. do not recommend. Everything is quite unmemorable. Service is whatever, sometimes mid, sometimes bad. Nothing outstanding. Ambiance.... well... this one has been replicated one too many times. The food is heavily missing flavor, the hummus is disgusting. I can't believe they call that thing hummus, it's an insult to actual dish.. it's almost like it was trying to imitate the real dish, but failed terribly in even attempting to. Their pizza tasted like play-doh and looked very pale. Smitten is at least consistent with one thing, which is their staple: no flavor. One of the breaking points for me was being served food that had someone's HAIR. The restaurant is very expensive for the poor experience they have to offer. I stopped recommending them a long time ago.
