I'm so excited that Bakersfield finally has an 85° Bakery! The lines aren't as long as they were during the soft and grand opening, so I've finally made my way in. This location is pretty big. There's lots of seating and kiosks available to order drinks. I'm a fan of all of their pastries, but this time I came for a larger order. I got one of their 8in cakes for my brother's birthday. It was convenient that I could just pick one up instead of having to preorder cuz I didn't have a designated time that I'd be able to stop by. As always, it was very delicious! I like that their pastries aren't too sweet and they have a light texture.

Where to begin.!? I gave this place 4 starts simply for how STRONG the coffee was. I ordered a caramel macchiato to be safe and to my surprise it didn't taste sweet at all , instead it tastes like coffee ! In a good way... it woke me up like nothing else I've had. For that I will return ... now customer service is very mid. Workers don't smile , they don't look happy overall. Not a good look. They were out of most of their pastries so I didn't get any. Also the crowd can be very aggressive and rude. Not sure why ... but they act like it's hunger games . Anyways I'll return for coffee and try something new !

I had to try this bakery in Bakersfield and glad I did. The lines were long but worth it. The staff were friendly and helpful. The quality of their sweets were really good and fresh. Plenty of parking since it's in the marketplace.

This is a well known bakery in LA, I'm so glad it came to Bakersfield. There is a lot of bread options and cakes as well and coffees to enjoy. The boba here is fantastic but yes ...... it's true ... you will have to wait about 1-2 hours depending on when you arrive to make line . This establishment is new and a huge hype for this small town . Be prepared and it's worth it

I was super excited for 85 Degrees to finally have a location here in Bakersfield. Currently, the wait times are long due to the hype surrounding the soft opening, but whenever someone gets the opportunity they should definitely give this place a try! All the breads and pastries are amazing and are so soft and filled with flavor. I have yet to try a drink but the inside is new, clean and once it settles down a bit, I'm sure 85° will be a nice, cozy spot for conversations or work/study.

I had to come as soon as possible with this new cafe in Bakersfield. A hour long wait to get inside , but it was worth it. Walking inside , you pick a tray and choose as much pastries as you want. Then getting in line , I managed to also order an 85C coffee which I highly recommend. Ordering drinks are on their tablet by the line, so it's super easy to order. Everything came out to 25 bucks which is pretty great pricing. The service is top tier, they're all working fast and still keeping a smile on. Our favorite pastries are the Premium Milk, Coconut Twist, and the Blueberry tart! We will definitely be coming again!

He is the one that yelled at me and my wife for letting the other Asian people in with us!! Told me he was the owner!!!

The owner is extremely rude! Yelled at me and my wife for letting the others come with us inside there wasn't any lines! He just did not want anybody standing by his food cases told him fine then I will just leave he said go ahead! The last two times I've spent over $140 here buying cake and drinks for my employees!!! we will never return!!!!

Line but it goes fast you won't wait long this was at 7pm grand opening day

Went there on grand opening but at 7pm and there was a line out the door limiting people to go in but it goes fast we probably only waited 5 minutes and was in. They have a lot of variety but out of the ones I wanted. I've gone twice and wanted the coconut bun. I love Asian pastry it's not too sweet and so soft. Their prices are not bad. I'm gonna go try once they open in the morning hoping they have more variety as I don't know if they ran out or don't carry everything. Since Porto's is only in the LA area, this is my go to.

So delicious and reasonably priced!! The pastries were delicious and I got the grapefruit green tea and it was delicious! Service was fast and the seating was super clean! will definitely come back

I usually go to this bakery in LA. So happy we have one here in Bakersfield. Their sea salt coffee is something I always get, and their Bakersfield location has kept the same yummy caffeinated quality. Their staff was kind and service was quick. Although, you can expect a bit of a wait to get inside because there's always a line for getting inside the bakery. The inside was slightly different than what I'm used to cause they actually have a dedicated dine in area. I liked the indoor seated section cause you can sit inside during the Bakersfield heat and enjoy your beverage and pastries. Also, right now they're doing a soft opening so their hours are limited 9am to 3pm.

I am so happy this bakery has made its arrival in Bakersfield. They have figured out a system that allows 10 people in at a time that way the bakers & employees have time to restock before the next batch of customers. This is only their soft opening for the next few weeks so items are limited but still plenty to choose from! The pastries are beautiful & warm no matter the time of day you go. That said, they open at 9 and it's in the best interest of the shopper to arrive before doors open. The wait is well worth the experience.

The space is actually one of their biggest strengths there's a lot of seating, plenty of room to bring your laptop and work remotely, and areas where people can gather. It's also connected to a church, so it definitely leans into that community-centered atmosphere. Unfortunately, after going back 3-4 times hoping my experience would improve, the coffee has been consistently disappointing. It tastes burnt and weak at the same time like warm water with sugar. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. On more than one occasion, I've taken several sips hoping it would get better... and ended up throwing the whole drink away because it was just that bad. That's honestly frustrating, especially when you're paying for specialty coffee. The only drink I've actually enjoyed there is the pumpkin spice latte, that one was solid.

We tried a variety of baked goods, the honeycomb bread is sooooo dang good! You can ask them for descriptions or ask for a menu to see details and ingredients. They're open late too, so I think my next visit will be a GNO or a date with my hubby.

I visited on a busy Saturday morning, and seating was very limited, which made it a bit difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy my drink. The staff was efficient and got orders out in a timely manner, but the customer service felt a little less warm and welcoming than I had hoped. A friendlier and more inviting atmosphere would really elevate the overall experience. That said, the quality of the coffee makes it worth a visit, especially if you're looking for a sweet treat to start your day.

As I was walking I saw the sign for this place and was happy I did because my other coffee options were a fast food restaurant or the famous coffee chain. It was a bit confusing to locate. It was tucked away in the back of a commercial office space type building. Once inside the place was very clean and organized. Very minimalist design. I was only one of 4 total people inside. My order was taken quickly. I ordered an iced americano with a ham and cheese turnover. Coffee was on point. No notes. No complaints. The pastry however was not good. They asked me if I wanted it heated up. I said I did. I saw her put it in the microwave, and I assumed they turned it on. When I bit into it (I had already left and walked across the street) it was cold. Like cold cold. On top of that it was flavorless which made it worse.
