The Bread Club bakery was a place I found by chance while on my way to the Coffee Apothecary next door. It's hard to walk past a bakery without at least checking it out. Cute place. I couldn't leave without buying a couple of Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies. While they were a tad on the pricey side, I can say that they were quite yummy when we ate them later that evening. It turned out that the bakery also has a little cafe. I took a photo of the menu and plan on returning for a meal another time.

Super cute place to grab a quick pastry or small breakfast. Bread and pastries are made Fresh made everyday and they have both savory and sweet options. Highly recommend!

Bad breakfast burrito with burnt and hard bottom.

The pastries are very good but I would never trust the pre-cooked grab and go items again. The over priced inedible breakfast burrito appears that it is days old and overheated with a hard bottom. The eggs were green. The cheese was rubbery and clumpy. I could have done better at a gas station. They no longer do made to order food. Unless you want pastries, there are so many other great burrito spots in town and I'd avoid these.

Nice little shop supplies much of the bread and pastries to upscale restaurants in Taos. Unhappily it does not seem to offer discount prices for patronizing the bakery rather than those restaurants. Loaf of rye bread and a chocolate croissant: $20.00 damage! OMG!!! Bread is good. Pastry is nice. But $20.00!!! Are they nuts? No they're in business! Cannot blame them for making money! But it's the last dime they'll get from me.

Delicious stop in Taos! We had a great breakfast - portions and price were just right. We had a hard time deciding because the options all sounded great. Service was so friendly and helpful. Left with two baked goods that were even better than the meal!

Bread Club Taos is the kind of place that I discover on Yelp and get excited about going to, the kind of place that I plan meals around. I finally visited Bread Club Taos on a nothing-special weekday morning in May. There were a few customers in line, many of whom seemed to be following protocol and either preceding or following their acquisition of baked delights with a visit to a neighboring and perfectly sited shop, The Coffee Apothecary. Bread Club Taos offers an array of gluten-free and gluten-filled baked delights. Organic breads include green chile cheddar sourdough, quinoa buckwheat sourdough and milk bread; pastries include pistachio swirl with rose butter cream, cinnamon roll and fancy pig in a blanket. Bread Club Taos is the kind of place where people in line excitedly debate their selections and openly worry whether the customers in front of them will purchase the last apricot cream cheese galette. The pastries are creative and fun to behold, not too sweet and a bit bready (as opposed to buttery), as if their creator were first a bread maker, then a pastry chef. Bread Club Taos, which, incidentally, seems to be a club only insofar as its members are those that self-select to shop there, is a fun morning stop. The hard part is deciding what to buy. P.S. Bread Club Taos also offers shelves of specialty food items, should you be looking for black truffle hot sauce, quince paste or wasabi salt, the kind of purchases that you didn't know you needed until you set eyes on them.

Amazing, delicious, welcoming and friendly atmosphere! With so many options in the area, so glad we found ourselves at the Bread Club! The pastry display is stacked with fresh, unique yummy delicious treats and their breakfast options are a good mix of traditional and worldly comforts. We had the Mayak eggs, eggs and toast, sides of bacon, cara cara loaf slice and a blueberry cinnamon roll with coffee. The colorful dining area is cozy, bright and the friendliness of everyone makes it feel like you are right at home. Thank you all!!

Cornetti with local raspberries and a tender, tasty package.

"Like breakfast in Europe." We like the homemade selections, especially a delicious, beautiful cornetti(?) and house cured salmon. Friendly service and both indoor and outdoor seating. Great for tourists, but lots of locals, too. Come and experience the Taos vibe!

This is a sweet little bakery positioned right next to The Coffee Apothecary. This is a good thing, because the coffee shop doesn't really have anything in the way of bakery items or snacks. The two stores work together, so don't feel guilty about grabbing a treat to have with your coffee. Bread Club didn't have much in the way of gluten free goodies, unfortunately. They did have a tea cake that was nice although a bit dry. My son liked his chocolate chip cookie. The guy running the store was very friendly and chatty. I'd definitely swing by again to see what they might have next time I'm in town.

Scrambled cheese eggs on top of buttery scrumptious gluten free bread with top quality greens on the side for an affordable meal on the go!

Adorable (well, everything is adorable in Taos; it's the southwestern charm for sure!) but it's more than what its appearance says it all. You have to try their products and see for yourself. What I got me were a few bon bons and a chocolate torte (the whiskey kind). -Miso Caramel: is shaped like a mushroom. Even if you might not be a fan of miso based (everything), you should try these bon bons anyway as they don't taste like miso at all. I was quite shocked with this myself (well, I like miso soup; miso taste doesn't bother me at all. Even so, Miso chocolate candy was something I didn't know what to expect out of. That is why I am saying that I was surprised by it.) -New Mexico , Spicy: was also surprising. The kick in these tiny pieces was quite mighty and yet it was tolerable. -Whisky Torte: All sorts of organic ingredients are used to make these delightful tortes. Tortes tend to be a lot heavier than traditional cakes as their texture is that of fudge. And yet, that shouldn't be a reason for you to steer clear from it as this chocolatier perfected the torte in a way that it will not be too rich or heavy for your taste or stomach. At least that is what I thought when I tasted it. Another must-try item on their menu offerings. For its interior, it's mostly and simply grey on walls but this emits the "chicness" that doesn't overshadow the theme of its business. You should also pay attention to the ceilings and the floors. A careful attention to entertain the guests' eyes is seen throughout. Service was good. I first went here late in the afternoon (close to its closing time). I quickly glanced at each section of the store inside. The kind gentleman upfront wanted to assist me but after asking him if it was open tomorrow (it would be Sunday), he said yes to which I gave him my promise that I would be back tomorrow. The same man assisted me when I was back the very next day to make a purchase. Not sure if he remembered me or not. It's not chocolate bon bons or tortes you can enjoy at this store. The café offers tasting trios, mocha, chocolate mouse, ice cream, affogato, hot chocolate, and espresso and so on. This is a haven for chocolate fanatics.

Our server, Chaniece, absolutely made the experience. I told her I wanted to order some of the most authentic Spanish dishes on the menu, and she came through perfectly. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited to help us experience the restaurant. If you have questions about the menu, ask for her recommendations--you won't be disappointed. My partner ordered Martin's Breakfast Burrito, and I had the huevos rancheros. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Michael's Kitchen is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so plan accordingly. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and had about a 30 minute wait. It was busy, but the wait was actually enjoyable because the restaurant has several little nooks filled with antiques and artwork by local artists. There was plenty to look at, and the time passed quickly. Taos has many wonderful mom and pop restaurants, but from what I learned during our visit, there are fewer locally owned restaurants serving traditional Spanish cuisine. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try all of them, but I'm very happy we chose Michael's Kitchen. Between the authentic food the welcoming atmosphere and Chaniece's outstanding service, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Taos.
