Mimosas

Truly nice brunch in a lovely atrium setting. We like being able to make reservations, and we were seated immediately. Staff was attentive. We had a couple of Mimosas, Piñon Pancakes and the Lobster Benedict. We enjoyed our food which was beautifully presented and had plenty of flavor!

Stayed for a few days at this beautiful hotel that has the most amazingggg restaurant inside There were so many things we tried and can't complain about anything at all. From the food, the waitstaff, the bar staff, the drinks. Most importantly the Chef.... Cristina Martinez. She is absolutely brilliant. Everything was such an amazing experience. The appetizers were so so so good. The balance of all the flavors in everything was spot on. The artichokes were heaven and the hummus was so so good. The duck was insanely tender over a beautiful bed of butternut squash-brie purée and a apricot orchard chutney. The next day we tried the crème brûlée French toast & Blue Corn Atole. Again, amazing. In the evening we tried the wings and fish & chips. The wings were so so good. She also makes her own hot sauce and it is effing delicious. Then the fish was so tender. The s'mores dessert, oh em geeeee. Spot on! So much beautiful fluffy marshmallow. The Sunday brunch, she serves a lobster Benedict. Wow. I have to say it was the most tender, flavorful Lobster I have ever had. The Hollandaise was amazing on top of the beautiful bread, with avocado and the side salad was delicious nice touch. Beyond thankful for this experience. Will definitely be back soon! She is such an amazing chef! The flavor combinations, the plating, just all around one of the best places I have ever eaten. The hotel itself is also super gorgeous, great staff, beautiful pool, spa & gym. The wedding that they prepared for..... the food came out looking and tasting perfecto! Restaurant, catering, weddings - 100% Highly highlyrecommend.

Great ambiance and upscale dining experience. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast: delicious breakfast burrito, avocado toast, and pancakes. Presentation on everything was great. Good service overall. Only con is price with our latte being $9.50 for example (or the cheeseburger being $36). Otherwise would definitely recommend for an upscale nice dinner in Taos!

Lobster Benedict

Service friendly and courteous. Atrium a nice venue. Ordered a peach mimosa (out of raspberry) and the Lobster Benedict. Poached egg perfectly done and excellent Hollandaise BUT food was basically warm, not hot. I'd experienced this before and told my server when I placed my order. She said she'd bring it as soon as it was plated. Another person delivered my order. I was hungry and ready to eat so didn't send it back. Not sure why food can't be delivered piping hot. I would probably return but not order the Benedict.

Delicious! We had a beautiful meal, lovely atmosphere, kind staff and gorgeous cocktails! We were seated at 8pm without a reservation so we were very grateful! I ordered the chicken enchiladas and my husband had the smash burger...everything was so tasty! The cocktails were a dream. I'd recommend the Inferno Margarita.

Excellent dinner. We both had delicious house-made pappardelle primavera. The pasta and veggies were so fresh and tasty. The high-ceiling room has a perfect south western flare. And Lydia, our server, was excellent - friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. A terrific night out!

While our experience in this hotel was not good, this restaurant served excellent food and the staff (Joaquin) was outstanding and friendly. I love the terrarium feel with labeled exotic plants all around. Healthy and fresh. My only rub (literally) is the table which punishes the tall with knee rubbing metal (see my photo)

The food was over prices and mediocre. Service was off standish and uninformed of the menu. Also wait was very long. Would not go again.

We had breakfast at Michael's Kitchen after it was recommended as one of the places to experience…read moreauthentic Spanish cuisine in Taos, and I'm so glad we went. Our server, Chaniece, absolutely made the experience. I told her I wanted to order some of the most authentic Spanish dishes on the menu, and she came through perfectly. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited to help us experience the restaurant. If you have questions about the menu, ask for her recommendations--you won't be disappointed. My partner ordered Martin's Breakfast Burrito, and I had the huevos rancheros. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Michael's Kitchen is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so plan accordingly. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and had about a 30 minute wait. It was busy, but the wait was actually enjoyable because the restaurant has several little nooks filled with antiques and artwork by local artists. There was plenty to look at, and the time passed quickly. Taos has many wonderful mom and pop restaurants, but from what I learned during our visit, there are fewer locally owned restaurants serving traditional Spanish cuisine. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try all of them, but I'm very happy we chose Michael's Kitchen. Between the authentic food the welcoming atmosphere and Chaniece's outstanding service, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Taos.

Strong 4 stars. Hubs had the steak and eggs. I had a Denver-style omelet…read more Steak was good but a little fatty, hubs cleared everything else off the plate. Omelet was tasty and filling- slices of American cheese vs shreds was a little unexpected. A cherry on top of the cottage cheese. Literally. That's weirdness yall. But check out the bakery case. 100% the best part of the meal was the pine cone cinnamon role. I'd come back just for that.
