A staff/cashier approaches us to see if we need help. I brush her of overwhelmed with the variety of breads and pastries. Realizing I do need help I ask her what is inside one of the pastries. She not only answers the question but explains some of the others and the setup of the store. From there we make our decision. Lemon Puff $1.25 tax included There were so many things we wanted to try but had to make sure we had room for more on this sweet run. Now this cheap morsel was beyond good. Yelp 2015 Challenge #5 Whaa? Amazing prices, good bread. I wonder what other people are complaining about at this place ._. This is basically like an 85C (which is right across the plaza) inside the 168 Marketplace. They have breads and sell teas. But change is IT'S WAY CHEAPER. Mexican blueberry, which is like 85C Berrytale, is $1.25 here. Whaaa? How? How do they make money? No idea. They have a pork sung red bean mochi bread, which is also $1.25. It's kinda good but not for the faint of heart! The chocolate flower ($1.95 or $1.75 I believe?) was a good dessert and crunchy! They have mini cupcakes as well and tons of other breads which rival 85C's. Multigrain with peanuts as well. They are also very helpful with everything, b/c during my first time I missed the red bean bread and had to ask an employee. She came out from behind the kitchen to help me out. 8) They also have interesting green tea mix bread that they sell as loaves. My mom comes here and buys the pastries here for the entire family. I have interest for only one type of pastry that they make here at Bread Farm. Anything that is blueberry flavored. Love it! I have never stepped foot in this establishment yet, but my initial review is as presented because I do like their blueberry flavored pastries. I can't vouch for the others, though I have tried some others - but no comment for those. So 4 stars for the Mexican Blueberry and any other blueberry flavored pastry! read more

It's located inside the 168 Market, in the front of the store. They have a little seating area, so you can buy your bread and pastries and enjoy it there. It's basically like 85 degrees... they have bread and pastries out and you choose which ones you like and put it on a tray and then pay. Unlike 85 Degrees, they do have some samples either on the counter by the register or on top of the bread. There is small refrigerated section as well, for smaller cake portions. To the left of the registers, they sell cakes and next to that they sell drinks. The bread and pastries are really good and very much different from 85 Degrees. Their cakes are really good too and very spongy. I still have yet to try their drinks, but they look good! Be sure to check if they are having any deals, especially on the weekends! read more

Great location right in the supermarket, plenty of parking. Everything is set up beautifully, I wanted one of each and everything. From savory to sweet, whole cakes to slices, everything looked so tasty and the prices are excellent, ranging from just under $2 for the single pastries to about $8 for a small cake. Perfect for a party, showstopping cakes, especially the ones with fruit. It is self serve, fill up a tray and they box it up for you with a smile, great service here. I had the lemon cupcake, it was my favorite of the bunch, so light and fluffy, the lemon added the perfect refreshing tartness, light and spongy, I could eat a dozen. I also had a blueberry pastry, loved it but a bit plain for my taste, perfect with coffee, milk or hot chocolate though. My husband had a garlic as well as a ham and cheese pastry, both also very good. Everything was super fresh, they were constantly bringing out new trays of items, I can't wait to come back and try more of their great looking items! Okay, so I've been back a few times now and the bread is still good, but if you're there for the so-called specials, don't bother. I've gone twice trying to get their $0.85 special, but they are "always" sold out. Kinda deceiving if you ask me. I would still go back because like I said, the bread is still good and prices are reasonable starting at $1.25. read more

There's a lot of care that goes into the little breads you buy, which are really reasonably priced on their own at $1.70/piece. The highlights include anything that's made w/ puff pastry (something you don't see as much at 85C). The puff pastry puffs like no other -- really airy danishes. Highlight was the chocolate flower. It's ok. Basically a copy of 85 Degrees from the same shopping center. They say the same as 85..."fresh/hot bread!" Although they are slightly cheaper, but you get a less tasty bread. It's more of a doughy taste and also with an oily shine on the surface. Far less people too. I wouldn't trust the first 10reviews. I like this bakery a lot enough to make me write a review for the 1st time. YOU MUST TRY LEMON CUPCAKE! (they have chocolate, too but haven't tried) It's super soft and airy with a hit of lemon flavor and aroma. Not overly sweet at all, just enough and very subtle sweetness that's great with hot cup of coffee. Inside it's got nice slightly lemon flavored pastry cream, trust me, it's very nice flavor. It was $1.30ish. Compared to 85degree, here's my opinion. Of course I used to go to 85, but after all, for me it's a bit too much butter in everything. Anything I choose there contains so much butter, sometimes I get heartburn. But breads from Bread Farm are noticeably less butter and little more simple. I like that. I must try Chocolate Cupcake next! Btw their mushroom bacon (I think?) is awesome when it's hot. read more

They gave me a coupon for a Free sandwich that's New on the menu since I made a purchase over a certain amount. 1. You have to come back another day to use the coupon. 2. You have to make more purchases to use the coupon. 3. You must use the coupon 8-2pm, but if the sandwich lady in on break, you're out of luck. 4. After the third attempt, still did not get my Free sandwich. Don't give out coupons if there's so many restrictions and demands. The picture of the sandwiches look so good, so I just want to try. Fresh Bread! I couldn't help but think that this place reminded me of 85 Degrees...until I tasted the bread. While the prices are slightly cheaper, it should be noted that the selection is significantly smaller and the taste is far from the fresh fluffiness you get from their rival 85 Degrees just down Colima. They had a promo for cake. I bought 5 whole cakes. 2 tiramisu, 1 chocolate cake, 1 taro and strawberry mouse. Gave it to my sisters and friends. Taro cake is for me. I asked them how was it. I've tried several of their bread and they were okay. My favorite is the pumpkin seed bread which is big and fluffy. The nut bread is good too. Friendly service and they always have samples! They carry lots unique flavors different from other bakeries. read more

The service was soooooooo bad, it's ridiculous. They were out of pineapple but told us we could get the fruit carnaval. So we tried to order that but they said we couldn't get fruit carnaval either? Okay, fine. We continue to order and they dropped our cup on the floor and didn't bother to replace it. How gross. They kept messing up our order, charged us the wrong price, and gave us the wrong cup size. How much worse could it get? On top of that, the lady who helped us was giving us really rude attitude. I visited today for the first time, following an early-morning blood draw at the lab across the plaza. It's comfortable, bright, and very clean. Spacious as well, so you're not on top of people. The mix of Asian and European breads and pastries is similar to other cafes, and my Americano coffee was good and strong. The employees were helpful and friendly. I'll definitely return. read more

Very nice little bakery. Because it is always less crowded than the other busy noisy bakery in the same plaza, i find the service at Bread Farm friendlier and the atmosphere much more relaxing. My favorite is the mango mousse roll cake- it is a typical asian cake with less sugar, spongier in texture, and emphasis on fruit flavor. The staff there is always so friendly and pleasant, never rushed or abrupt. WHenever I am in Hacienda Heights, I always stop by here to pick up a cake and a coffee. read more

Went into 168 Market for the first time and made a beeline for Bread Farm. They have a pretty big selection of breads so I was scoping everything out when a girl approached me with samples. She had three choices so I picked one and she's like "what about the other one?" So I'm like sure, I'll try that one too. Then she kept insisting I try the third one too! I love this girl! And I pretty much ate a whole bread because the samples were generous. The first thing I noticed was that most of the breads here are very big. The second thing I noticed was that the breads are super cheap! I bought five buns and three of them (pork sung, red bean and custard cream) were only $1.25/each. The other two (mushroom, bacon cheese and something that looked like a flower dipped in chocolate) cost a bit more, but were still under $2. I didn't eat all of them because I shared with my family, but the ones I tried were really good! I can't wait to come back and try more breads and maybe their drinks as well! read more

I like how they always hand out samples when you walk in - they are generous with them and have samples of all the popular breads .. Love the price at $1.25 each..
