CHORIZO HASH and SINGLE WW PANCAKE
    Corey B.

On a a Wednesday morning my partner and I decided in a spur of the moment to try out this place so near to where we live. We walked in to a brightly lit and beautifully decorated dining that immediately felt welcoming. The service was great as well. The food, however, was an experience all on its own. My partner ordered the Chorizo Hash, which exceeded all expectations of it being their star dish. I was perfectly savory and saucy, with crispy potatoes and all of the mouth feels you could hope for from a dish. I ordered the Dieguito's Benedict brunch special and it was honestly one of the best brunch meals I've eaten in Chicago. The chicken was fried to perfection, the poached eggs the perfect amount of runny. As with any stacked dish, it's always a challenge to get the perfect bite without it toppling over, but it was ok because each bite was an experience and there were so many flavors that came through with each one. The motif holding this dish together was the bacon jalapeño aioli, which created an amazing symphony of flavors. We will definitely be back and we are already regretting taking so long to give this place a try.

Had such a wonderful brunch with my friend. I got the breakfast burrito - delicious!!!! She is vegan and got their vegan hash and said it was one of the best hash she's ever had! Everything was cooked well and really really good! Their outdoor patio is very nice and shaded and their staff is SO friendly. We loved our waiter- he was so nice and welcoming! Will be back.

I've been to their other locations, but this is the first time I was at this one. It's the middle of the day on Wednesday, and it's basically empty. The food is excellent and the service was fantastic. I had the egg white frittata with a side of fruit. my only criticism, is that the sautéed veggies on the frittata were a bit salty, but I don't eat much salt in general so restaurant food often tastes salty to me.

I love the vegan chorizo hash, and I'm not even vegan! You can add a side of panache at no extra cost. Don't think twice, go there!

Great service, but even better food. Chorizo Hash was so fresh, and the classic french toast was perfectly sweet. 10/10

Thanks to the kindness of Moe, the GM along with a few of his crew members who changed our tire in drizzling rain. They were not deterred by the fact that our wheel key did not fit the locks on our car, they asked other Eden crew members to check their glove boxes for a wheel key. Thank you Moe and Team Eden for your kindness. Sometimes we forget how incredibly kind and generous the hospitality community truly is . And as for the food- best ever! I had the Soul and Smoke wood fired ham and cheese melt. Delicious! The Market Burgers are the best in the city! Chef Devon Quinn and his team are outstanding. The arugula salad (esmee) is very good as well as the hummus with pita. I was disappointed with the burger since it had too many ingredients clashing with one another for attention. The potato chips the dip came with were massive, fantastic, ruffle cut slices. Dip was good, trout roe ($18) gave it that extra pop of flavor. Our favorite dish of the night was definitely the beef tongue, so tender and balanced with textures and acidity. Mains were: Pappardelle (mushroom and carrot ragu) - I liked this best out of the three pastas, pasta was very tender. Cappelletti (beef, celery root fonduta) - felt a little under al dente in the sections where it was pasta pressed against pasta. The beef filling was on the average side, a simple, braised beef. Strozzapreti (duck bolognese + parm reggiano) - pasta was cooked perfectly, but the sauce leaned salty. Our half chicken arrived once we were finishing the pastas. Juicy and tender, with the fat/skin rendered out nicely. The sauce was good, but felt the chicken itself was lacking seasoning/flavor. The remaining duck ragu came in handy for extra saltiness. Finished the meal with the terrazzo cheesecake, and gelato scoop trio (roasted vanilla, peanut butter cookie dough brownie, and frutti di bosco sorbet). Cheesecake was light and wiggly, definitely contained some gelatin and cubes of strawberry jello; not too sweet. I enjoyed the peanut butter gelato the most, was very tasty mixed with the sorbet to make a little pb and j concoction. They also gave a little slice of chocolate cake as we were there for a celebration. Overall, appetizers were a hit, with the dessert coming in second, and entrees following thereafter. Was ~$240 w the included 25% service fee between 3 people. The food feels like 3.5 stars as the food was inconsistently good across courses, but the service/ambiance pushes it to a 4. Worth a try if you can get a reservation.

Cheers for me, guys. And now that I've been, I just want to come back. That food is good. So, so very good.... Vegan options galore, and not just some bullshit afterthoughts. The sweet potato soup with garlic was a great starter, especially with that perfectly thick bread. The "Tineka," a spicy peanut butter sandwich with all kinds of fresh veg, was another hit. Fresh, salty, beautifully toasted. Even the side of slaw was elevated beyond the norm. But the one I'll be dreaming of is the Chickpea & Fennel Tagine. Green harissa, golden raisins, preserved lemon, arugula, and more of that amazing grilled bread. My god. Tagine is a slow-cooked African dish that jams pounds of flavor into each bite, and this bowl was through the roof. The apertif menu? Bonus points for that one. It's cute, it's trendy, the staff knows their menu inside and out, and they have been bringing the culinary heat for nearly three decades. Keep doing your thing, Lula.
