The food options have gotten a bit pricey but I believe that to be true for most food establishments. The food is delicious, our favorite is the shrimp cocktail bowl. Like micheladas? They have great ones!

Cool hole in the wall. Underrated and I think it does justice. The food is good. Carne asada is kinda dry but it has flavor. I would come back and order something else. This is a spot that you go to when you're looking for cheap Mexican eats. The service is good too.

Ceviche ceviche ceviche! I loved the shrimp ceviche (clearly) and the fish tacos! Both were good portions! I'm salivating right now writing this review, but sadly I'm in a different state so I'll have to settle for something like taco time cuz there's no msr here :[ I think they're also on Groupon which is awesome but 100% would eat here again.

    Toothpick in the rolled taco

First time trying this food. I can say prices arent bad but food overall was eh. The carne asada fries were mostly fries. The rolled tacos were eh. Problem was that in my rolled tacos there was a toothpick. Idk if it was used but regardless that is disgusting and dangerous. It ruined the whole food. We scrapped everything not trying to risk it.

My wife and I make it a point to stop here every time we're heading back to Vegas from San Diego…read more It's become one of our traditions. The carne asada is hands down some of the best around and it's amazing no matter what you order it on. Honestly, we've worked our way through a good chunk of the menu and everything has been consistently fresh and delicious. One thing we also love is that they have AMI, so you can pick the music and keep the vibe going while you eat. Great food, great atmosphere, and friendly service every time. If you're passing through, this place is absolutely worth the stop.

Burger? NO Tacos, beans? YES!…read more I was mega happy with one of my orders. The taco was luscious with a generous filling of juicy beef. The tamale was generous as well, but not my fav. THE BEANS! DELICIOUS! AND they included some chips and salsa at no extra charge! This is my new go to for "Mexican" food. So, why not FIVE STARS? It's their burger. Truly awful and possibly the worst I've ever had. It's cheap, $11., and that includes fries, but if the burger isn't worth finishing the cheap price isn't a plus. What's it take to make a good burger? I looked up In-in-Out on Google. What's their secret? Patties: 100% USDA ground chuck, shipped fresh daily and cooked to order.Produce: Whole onions and tomatoes are hand-sliced, and lettuce is hand-leafed. Plus, they have a great sauce. Well, a better bun too. It's the beef AND If Casa Jimenez could just add a couple nice lettuce leaves, a good size tomato, onions on request and then figure out a good sauce, they would have an edible burger. Charge more and don't serve something that's too bad to eat. Simple.

This place is a hidden gem, first thing walking in I was great with a bright, happy woman behind…read morethe register. I asked what breakfast burrito is the best or her favorite and took her up on the recommendation of the Machaca Breakfast Burrito. Choosing to dine in I was offered chips and salsa and asked for salsa preference. No salsa bar here which was fine, I chose spicy and got a roasted red salsa and creamy green salsa. Red had more kick but the green had such a nice bright flavor. I'm sure there are more options but it was nice to trust the service to pick. Now for the burrito, the star of the show, Machaca is only 50 cents more than the bacon, coming in at around $14 which is about average around here. The size was great and a nice weight. Cutting it open there was a great mix of all the ingredients. Potatoes were a small dice and seasoned with the same spice they sprinkle on their chips I think. Fajita style onions and peppers with a generous amount of juicy Machaca, laced with perfectly melted cheese. I think there may have been some refried beans in there too since I asked for everything they recommend. If there was they were so nicely blended they didn't dominate a single bite and may have performed more as a binder. 5 stars for Location and staff were both great as it's not hard to get to off Ynez by the dealerships. It's the kind of place locals know of and tell people they got their perfect spot. Blown away by how friendly the staff is, in the morning, while taking deliveries. The Machaca Breakfast Burrito is a solid 4.9/5, would definitely order again after I try some of the others because this place is definitely going on the short list of go-to spots. They have quesaberria tacos that look awesome.

Birria for lunch? Yes, please! Ate lunch at Lola's Birria…read moreand grabbed their lunch special, birria ramen + birria taco, and let me just say... my lunch was having a whole identity crisis because it couldn't decide whether it wanted to be taco or ramen... let's have both!! They start you off with chips and both red & green salsa, and thankfully, BOTH were delightful. No sad, watery salsa situation happening here! The birria ramen came in a small soup bowl, but don't let the size fool you. That broth was packed with that rich, savory birria goodness. The birria taco was generously stuffed with meat and came with its own little container of consomé for dipping. Because apparently one can never have too much birria juice. The lunch special also comes with rice, beans, cilantro and onion, making this a pretty satisfying meal for less than $15. That's a lunch deal I can get behind! And the birria itself had what I look for: tender, juicy, slow-cooked beef with a deep, savory, slightly spicy and mildly smoky chile flavor. It should taste rich and beefy, with the spices complementing the meat rather than overpowering it, and the consomé should be flavorful enough that you'll want to drink it straight from the cup. BONUS POINTS: They don't use lard in the beans! As someone who appreciates knowing what's lurking in my side dishes, I definitely appreciate this. Overall, I liked it! If you're looking for a good-value lunch special in the area, Lola's Birria is definitely worth checking out. And if you're anything like me, you'll probably be dipping everything into that consomé.
