Kept seeing all the great reviews so I decided to try it out today. Upon approaching the guy that was working clearly did not want any business, did not make eye contact, did not say hello or thank you. I decided to get the burrito which came out to $11.50. I'm from Colorado so I'm expecting a big filling burrito that you could actually eat and be filled up. Unfortunately the burrito was so small you would need at least four of them to match the size of a Colorado Mexican burrito. So if you got four of them here you would be eating a $45 meal. I should have just went to Taco Bell and would have got so much more value as the flavor was equivalent. Very disappointed and will not return. No value, no flavor, no friendly people. read more

Stopped by here after walking out a restaurant a couple doors down... big burrito was massive and my son tore it up... the corn in a cup was very good! I had the beef tacos and they were very good! The small nacho was a basic concession stand nacho. My wife had the frito chili pie and had the cheap nacho cheese... would for sure recommend the tacos!! read more

Breaking Bread has a restaurant that serves the best breakfast burritos I have ever tasted! They make vegan burritos for my husband and vegetarian too. They have a wonderful setup where you get to choose what you would like in your burrito! There is also lunch served with tacos nachos, burritos and salads. It is definitely a great place to eat! The owner is a kind man with great customer service skills! I look forward to eating there again! Everyone needs to try there breakfast burritos! They are fantastic! The Breaking Bread restaurant is located off of Padre Blvd. on South Padre Island in Texas. We had read reviews about their pastor tacos. However, we didn't see it on their new menu. We asked if they still had pastor meat and were assured they did. What we received was just braised pork. They do not have pastor tacos anymore and I don't appreciate being lied to. There's a food truck just behind this one that has legitimate al pastor tacos. I recommend that one. I do not recommend this one. The pork tacos were just okay, nothing to write home about, so three stars is fair. read more

The food is amazing. The owner went above and beyond to help our family. We arrived to South Padre Island when the majority of the island didn't have power or water. We had to take an Uber from the airport so we didn't have transportation. They were willing to bring us our order just as they were closing. They were so generous and kind.
