Working with BreakoutIQ over the past couple of weeks was one of the easiest events I've helped coordinated thanks to Varun and his team. We had over 30 people travelling to the Bay Area for a meeting and wanted to plan a fun event for all participants. We came across BreakoutIQ and we couldn't have been happier about the entire experience. From a few weeks prior to our event helping us find the best location for our event, to the week before when we were finalizing logistics, to the day of the event, Varun went above and beyond to make sure our event ran smoothly. He went to the location of our event a few days before the event to check out the room rental for logistical purposes and arrived 2 hours before the start of our event with his team to get everything set up. When we arrived, everything was ready to go and very organized. The actually activity was extremely fun and great for people of different ages. We had a great team outing with BreakoutIQ! We split our department of about 20 people up into 4 teams to compete on who could solve the Sherlock Holmes-inspired mystery first. Everyone had a fun time using their brains in different ways than usual. Everything about this event went off without a hitch. Went here on a company teambuilder. Took a bit to get accustomed to the setup but wow once we got started what a rush. Good clues, fun concept. Our event at BreakoutIQ was AWESOME! I've done many Escape from the Room games, and this one was both more fun than the others and also scaled MUCH better to a larger group. All of us were able to actively contribute the whole time because of the format of the game (much smaller puzzles that contribute to a larger puzzle) and we had a blast! This was a great experience. Ive never done something like this before so I was a little reluctant at first but our guide's Karen and Cristina were AWESOME! They made it challenging but would give hints if needed but in the sliest way. With the help of Cristina & Karen I got into the game real fast that I left my team to crack some clues on my own haha. I hired BreakoutIQ for a teambuilding session at a retreat of mid-career professionals, and it was a huge hit. I loved that this was a super fun activity that was physically accessible for all members of our group and that we were able to pull great work-related learning out the process in the debrief. Rahul was extremely responsive--he let us observe another group going through the process to make sure it would be a good fit for us and tailored the experience to the time constraints of our group. His team was also very flexible in accommodating our space issues--we had another session coming in 15 minutes after this one ended, and they were able to break down quickly and not disrupt the flow of our event. When my software team had an outing planned which fell through, BreakoutIQ was able to put together an "escape room" challenge on very short notice. I don't want to give any spoilers, but it's obvious that the team put a great deal of thought into the production, making it an entertaining and engaging story as well as a set of brain teasers. One unique aspect was the fact that we were competing against other teams to be the first ones to escape, which made this even more fun! This was my first ever Escape experience, and even though I came in a bit skeptical, I ended up having an awesome time! I came with a group of 12, and we were split into 2 teams of 6. What I really didn't expect was how excited I got by the competition and wanting to finish before the other team from our group! Last night I did a 4-on-4 escape game with BreakoutIQ and we had a great experience. My friends and I are big fans of the escape the room genre, but so far there has been no game as convenient as this one - they come right to your house or office and set everything up in about 15 minutes. The game itself was challenging and fun. Unlike other rooms, the emphasis is purely on the puzzles themselves - no unnecessary decorations and minimal number of props that aren't used in the puzzles. The competitive element was the highlight - our group of 8 divided into two teams of 4 and the head-to-head competition added lots of fun to the experience. Our team of 5 competed against another team at the same time, which was a unique aspect of this escape room that I made it even more interesting.
