I came on a Sunday afternoon, but they ran out of bubbles and also didn't have large cups. I got an americano with milk cap on top. It was delicious! One of the best coffee drinks I have tried at an asian drink store. I also tried my friends signature milk tea with milk cap and herbal jelly. It was also delicious, just pricey. The crêpe cakes were delicious but expensive. Even compared to Lady M's procing not sure if it was worth that much especially since mine melted on the way home providing me a soggy cardboard box (20min drive home). The bread selection is great! I recommend trying the stranger combos. It is heavily priced compared to typical asian bread houses but still soft, flavorful and not burnt. Now my major complaint was a specific employee sitting on her break with a man in a suit and 2 other employees. She spoke behind my back literally out loud mocking my accent when I pronounced "Crêpe" in français as opposed to an "American" accent. I retorted back to her saying that I am a french speaker. She shut up for a little then proceeded to chime to her friends about accents and how strange certain accents sounded. Absolutely rude and ignorant. Everything was delicious! There was so many options that there was something for everyone, and also a ton of things to come back for.

This place is a such a cute shop conveniently located next to Sushi King in Henrico. If you've heard of Shilla Bakery or 87c, this is Richmond's version of it. When you walk in, you notice that it's pretty small but along the walll in the back is a row of pastries encased in glass. You have to grab a tray, wax paper, and tongs and use those to select the pastries you want. I highly recommend the dirty chocolate bread, strawberry cream tart, and chocolate hazlenut bread. Once you grab what you want, bring it up to the register where they will bag it for you. At the register is where you can order the bubble tea, and I highly recommend one of their most popular ones, Mango Milk Cap. Mango Milk Cap - they use fresh mangos and tea and a sea salt type foam on top to give you a sweet drink with a hint of salty. They almost always have a bit of a wait on these due to its popularity. I also recommend their crepe cakes. If you've heard of Lady M, this is their version. I highly recommend their strawberry one for a sweet and light cake. The mango cake was disappointing as it didn't taste like mango, just like cream. All in all, I recommend Brecotea if you're in the area and craving a bakery like Shilla or 87c or even if you're craving Lady M crepe cakes. read more

Fruit tea! While I can't speak for the other drinks and baked goods I can say that the fruit tea is good. I got mine half sweet and it was perfect. I also like the fresh fruit garnish and the cup that's durable enough for several uses. I'll be back to try the other stuff. read more

Heavens help you if you're not familiar with the cryptic menu (with no descriptions) and have to change your mind because certain items can be customized, and others cannot--which is not disclosed on the menu board. I've been a couple times since opening and I've tried various things. Their bubbles in the bubble tea are chewy and don't really have any flavor. Their tea itself is not strong enough to actually taste it after all the flavoring. I've gotten Orange Tea which honestly was way too sugary to actually like despite having actual oranges and limes in it (I couldn't even figure out the tea base, but I would assume either tea or water) I've had the signature milk tea, and that's basically milk, bubbles, and then milk cap. Which isn't that bad but I figured that the bubbles were the main point and it had no taste after mixing it in the drink. I tried my friends drinks which was the mango milk cap and a regular bubble tea and neither of those were too impressive either. They were okay. Their breads were okay too. I actually liked the walnut streusel. That was pretty good. I also tried the boba bread and the matcha red bean bread and those weren't the best. I'm updating my review for 3 stars because I actually like most of their desserts and breads. Some are okay but most are pretty My friends seem to like it so I guess it can depend on your enthusiasm for tea, but I used to work at a bubble tea place back in the days and this just doesn't satisfy. I will say that their cups and aesthetic are cute **update!! Plenty of people have already said it, but the vibes inside the place were great, I love the rose wall and there are plenty of spaces for seating. I liked how easy it was to grab desserts and there was a wide variety of options. I think they're known for their drinks, and they usually hit the mark. Some of my favorites include the Passionfruit Green Tea (super refreshing and the flavor is ~perfect~). I also get the Okinawa Brown Sugar Milk Tea, but sometimes it is overly sweet. This is my go-to place for boba. I usually get the mango passion tea with bubbles and I look forward to it every time. They have plenty of options no matter what your tastes are. I've never tried their cakes or other desserts but they do look delicious whenever I stop by. The only reason for 4/5 is because sometimes the staff is inconsistent with pleasantness. Most of the staff are extremely kind and nice, but I have had some unpleasant visits because of one staff member. Overall still the best place in Short Pump for bubble tea. read more

Came here with my mom and we ordered the mango milk cap tea, four seasons green milk cap tea, and a dragon fruit red bean pastry. It was overall an okay experience, nothing to rave about. I could barely taste the green tea flavor of the four seasons green milk cap tea. It tasted very dilute and wasn't cold enough for me. The mango milk cap tea was pretty good although I'm not sure why it was called a tea as there was no tea taste whatsoever and the drink tasted entirely like a mango smoothie. I'm so excited that finally there is a bubble tea joint in the henrico/short pump area! We ordered the Ruby Black Milk Cap Tea and the Signature Milk Tea. The ruby black milk cap didn't have a strong black tea taste like I wanted, but I do like that it was not too sweet or too milky. If they could make the tea stronger, I think it would be a perfect combo. The Signature Milk Tea was really interesting in that it actually does NOT have tea in it but it still tasted good. The cashier did tell me that the Signature only has boba, milk and milk cap so I wasn't surprised about my drink, but I think naming it "milk tea" is misleading and should be renamed to something else. I do like this drink however and would get it again when I'm in the mood for it. They have a good selection of pastries and baked goods that reminds me of Shilla bakery in NOVA but smaller in size. I can't remember the name but got the purple round bread and one other one with shredded pork floss on it and they were both good! The pastries are more on the expensive side however as they were each ~ $4. One thing I wish could be different is if they could use the sealed lid instead of the regular lid that they have. The sealed lid would allow me to mix up the milk cap drinks much better. Overall I think this place deserves a 3.5-4 stars and considering that they just opened recently, there's definitely room for improvements. I would say service could be faster as it took me ~5-10minutes to get my drinks but I love that they open until 10pm-11pm every day! read more

The color is vibrant and it's give me a very fresh felling; the first sip of tea is refreshing because the flavor is just right, the ice is just cold enough and the flavor goes down the throat while giving a lingering after taste. I picked up a taro tea with bubbles here and was pleasantly surprised when I found out they use real taro! It could have been a touch sweeter, and I didn't love the huge chunks of taro when I got to the end of the drink, but otherwise was a solid choice for bubble tea in the area! read more

I'm really enjoying Breco! Finally some good bubbles (boba/pearls/tapioca) in Richmond! They are brown sugar tapioca and made fresh so it's chewy like a gummy bear. People, bubbles are not supposed to be soft which means it's old and over cooked. If it's not round, smooth & chewy but mushy, rippled & flattens on your tongue, you're getting old stale bubbles. I've had the bubble milk tea, brown sugar milk tea w/bubbles, and mango milk cap so far. Now many of you have gotten used to the powder flavoring all tea shops offer, this is not that. I hate the powder! So I was excited when I watched them put slices of mangoes in a blender to make my mango tea! I agree the taste of the 'tea' lost in my milk teas but it is present in the mango tea. This is common in all the bubble tea shops. Breco's recipe proportions are in line with other shops. Now about the milk cap or cheese foam(the latest craze all over Asia)... it's an acquired taste, one of which I have not gotten. Originally, I thought it would be like fluffy sweet cheese danish tasting foam but it's not. Consider it similar to salt on caramel, which I don't like. (I'm not dropping a star for my personal preference.) Service slowed when it was busy. Duh. However, the small work space for drink station didn't really allow for multiple workers. Poor planning. But Im not dropping a star for that either since I did wait almost an hour for Tiger Sugar in Flushing, Queens. (Totally worth the wait if you want to drink the best caramel custard) Atmosphere is sweet & cutesy. Didn't have a chance to taste the baked goods (being gluten intolerant) but it looks pretty. read more

If you're looking for bubble tea/drinks in Richmond, this is one of the best. Cakes are a hit or miss. But the drinks are always good and you can always request for less sweetness if you'd like. They have a wide range of drinks and if you come often you can sign up for their rewards system. My sister would come here everyday if she could.
