Tea Do is another addition to the great list of boba spots in Richmond. It's located on VCU campus and has plenty of seating for casual lounging. Despite there being a small category for "hot drinks" on the menu, the employees let me know that I could order any drink hot, which I really appreciate. The hot brown sugar tiger milk was perfect on a cold night. I'd be interested in returning and trying some of their food items as well.

This place is unfortunately located too close to me so it's taking too much of my money lol. I get the jasmine milk tea each time. The boba is always cooked well and the tea is never powdery. I tried the onigiri (shrimp tempura and baked salmon) for the first time, and it was okay. It was decently sized, but still overpriced. I wouldn't recommend the shrimp tempura one since there's only one shrimp tempura in it, so it's mainly rice. The baked salmon was alright, but both onigiri were cold. They also provide complimentary spicy mayo in to-go containers, but they put way too little in each container. Of course, this place prioritizes its boba over its food, so I wouldn't let the aforementioned dissuade you from trying it out!

First visit to a Tea Do and enjoyed! Great stop for an Asian snack & tea varieties. Daughter raved about this spot so I had to try. Service was super friendly, place was clean, food and drink were delicious. There were several options of Onigiri. Onigiri is like a triangle shaped sushi hand roll. I chose an Unagi/eel and Salmon Onigiri for my daughter. Both were served warm and with a spicy mayo sauce. Please remember to read the instructions on how to open so you don't do what I did! :) everything fell apart but that was my fault. I don't play victim. Salmon had more meat than the Eel Onigiri but both equally warm and delicious! Will definitely be back for a snack!

I was super looking forward to trying Tea Do's opening in RVA but unfortunately it didn't really live up to its NOVA counterparts. Maybe because it's still so new but the boba was way overcooked and mushy. The jasmine milk tea was a little watered down. The brown sugar milk was pretty decent - brown sugar flavors were definitely present but almost overpowered the milk. The staff were friendly and the store is spacious with lots of seating. However I think they are still ironing out some details because I heard staff asking customers to pick other flavors cause some aren't available yet. I know how solid NOVA Tea Do can be so I'd give them a couple of weeks or months to smoothen things out before trying again!

Everyone is so nice here the service was amazing! Their workers Chris, Hien, Jason and Aidan were so nice to me! Tables are always clean and I saw the worker Jason wiping so well! Amazing atmosphere and I would totally go here again! Closest place for takoyaki! They need a raise bc this takoyaki make my pussy poppin

The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, and the boba is absolutely perfect! 10/10, highly recommend!

I love this place! I was driving past and I saw this place and decided to stop to give it a try. I was not near my usual Boa spot. I will return! Great quality and flavor! I ordered the Tropical Twister with Lychee Pop & Green Tea Jelly. Delicious!

I had a pretty good experience from service to the quality of the menu items that I got. There were 4 staff members that were there taking and making orders. Even though I came in at a busy time, I didn't have very long to wait until I got my drink order. I grabbed a strawberry magic stick, an ube bun and a pineapple bun along with a mango orange tea. The strawberry magic stick and the pineapple bun were delectable and the ube bun was perfect. Ube isn't very sweet, and I'm glad that this cafe stayed true to the ube flavor instead of adding a lot of sugar or altering the actual taste! The mango orange tea perfectly pared with the pastries! They have bottled drinks and cakes as well, but I didn't get to try them! They have a handful of tables and chairs inside, and they had quite a bit of people in there. It seems like they are a fave spot for locals. Some customers were just hanging out and some had laptops out, so they might be a good spot to do some work, too. They also have some merch on shelves (plushies and cups) if you're interested in that kind of thing. Definitely recommend if you're craving some treats!

I particularly like the Orange Pineapple and Orange Mango, but you can't go wrong with any of them. At just around $7 the price point is in line with what you would expect for a coffee replacement. The pastries are where Ben Wong shines. Showcased in the middle of the cafe, the ability to self select pastries often leaves me going home with more than I expect. The Pineapple Bun is fluffy with a mild sweetness, the Chicken Curry Bun is savory with a satisfying crunchy exterior, and the Taro Buns have a rich taro flavor. At $3-$5 per pastry you can't go wrong with any of them.

Calming spot to grab a treat, get some work done/journal, or catch up with friends in an aesthetic and modern cafe. Ordered the paradise tea with mango and avocado. The ambiance was clean and orderly. Upon entering, you grab a serving tray lined with parchment and some tongs. The items are in a glass enclosed display that you have to open and place your selections on your tray for purchase. I settled on the pistachio cream filled pecan pastry, the almond twist, and strawberry shortcake. The beverage menu was extensive: matcha, flavored teas, cocoa, espresso/coffee, and more. We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist. All were fresh. All in all, a great place to stop by for a morning pastry treat and tea/coffee while in the area,

I honestly like their boba more than any of the others I've tried because it's not overly sweet, which I really appreciate. I usually stick with the Oreo cream slush, that's my go to,but every now and then I'll try something different. I've had the brown sugar milk tea, the crème brûlée milk tea, and I believe the house bubble tea as well, and I've had no complaints so far. I also really like the atmosphere. It's clean, relaxed, and a nice place to sit. I usually go with my sister, and we'll just sit there and chat. It's definitely our favorite boba spot because their teas are so good. I haven't tried the pastries or cakes yet because I'm always undecided and I don't really like overly sweet things. That said, I see a lot of people raving about them, so I'm planning to try one next time, along with some other teas.

When it was made I mentioned but said it was okay I would take it anyways then I noticed the cookie on top that we had also asked to not have as one of the kids has celiac and I wanted him to be able to taste it. The girl who rang us up had put in no cookie but the girl who made it hadn't noticed that I guess. The girl making the drink that was incorrect however was INCREDIBLY rude, never smiled, acted like we were a complete annoyance to her life. If you're open and will be open for over an 1.5 more hours acting like customers are bothersome to you is insane. We did not feel welcome in the least and left immediately after receiving the correct drink.
