Milk oolong & Mango tea with milk foam
    David O.

Whenever we're in the area, we love to stop here for some boba tea. I like the more traditional milky oolong, while my wife had a mango with lactose free frothy milk - an option not found very often! Definitely a great stop; always clean, pleasant and efficient!

Went to get bubble tea after stocking up for the snow storm at Walmart and it was the best reward I could've asked for. You use a kiosk to place your order and then pick up at the counter. It took less than 10 minutes (they weren't super busy) and the person who made our drinks was very polite. The drinks were perfect. I adjusted the amount of sugar I wanted and they made exactly how I wanted it. I definitely will be going back.

Great bubble tea in Richmond!! Not cheap necessarily but you get a good amount for what you pay for. Taste is fantastic and service was very quick! Also a super cute spot! Decor and colors make it so vibrant

After waiting what felt like months for this place to open, we went to grab some dinner there once we heard they were having a soft opening. Upon entering the restaurant, you will find the place nicely decorated with ample seating. There were a couple of kiosks where you can order food on your own and it was very easy to use. Although they had a front counter, no one was available to take your order. We ordered: Chicken sandwich (soy garlic) - the breading on the chicken was soggy and a complete mess. Everything fell apart after a couple of bites. The chicken was moist but it lacked flavor. Wings (honey garlic) - this came out fresh and piping hot. It was crispy however you couldn't really taste the honey garlic sauce it was tossed in. Sweet potato fries - these were pretty soggy and didn't taste that great as a result. Coconut blue (30% sugar) - I'm not sure if their sugar levels are very different from the other boba places in Richmond, or if they forgot to only add 30% sugar level but this drink was way too sweet for us, even though the ice that came with it was melted by the time we got it so it should have diluted the sweetness some. We ended up tossing it. This may just be a personal preference for us but we were surprised at how sweet it was given we only asked for 30%z Coconut Mango Grapefruit (30% sugar) - This drink was also way too sweet, the boba that came with it was really soft. It also came with mango popping boba which was fine. We ended up tossing this as well. Please note that the fried chicken takes about 20-25 minutes to cook. Everything else was made well in advanced as soon as you put your order in but they don't give you your items until everything you order is complete. Our drinks and the sweet potato fries sat at their counter for 15-20 minutes while they were making the fried chicken. By the time we got our order, the ice in our drinks had melted and the fries were really soggy. It would have been nice if they timed things better so that we could have either gotten our drinks while waiting for our food or waited to make our drinks when our food was closer to being done. Additionally, we were not greeted by anyone when we entered nor was anyone at the front taking orders (for those who had questions or did not want to use the kiosks). Given that they just opened a couple of days ago, it would have been nice to have someone stationed up front to answer questions or helped those who had trouble with the kiosks, which I witnessed while I waited for our food. Alternatively, it would have been great if the kiosk gave a brief description of some of the items offered as their drink menu was extensive and thus overwhelming. A brief description would help been helpful!

The boba scene in Richmond is pretty mid, but Tsaocaa is a great addition and it is great to see more authentic places open up. We visited twice during this Grand Opening weekend (once on Saturday and Sunday) since they were offering a BOGO deal. Saturday - Oh boy was it busy! We stopped by around 4:30 PM. They have two self-service kiosks and main cashier person. We ordered the purple potato milk tea w/ bubbles and brown sugar milk black tea w/ bubbles, original egg waffle, and 10 piece honey garlic boneless fried chicken. They called our drinks first. The boba was super soft and chewy. I do appreciate that we can change the ice and sweetness level. However, the food took at least 30 minutes. I feel like the egg waffle was made first and just sitting on the counter while the fried chicken was being prepared. The egg waffle was not warm when we received it and it was kinda disappointed because I grew up with fresh hot Hong Kong egg waffles. The fried chicken was delicious, flavorful, and juicy. Sunday - I stopped by around 1:30PM. The two kiosks weren't working so everyone had to order at the main cashier. There were about 2-3 parties ahead of me, but I probably waited in line for 10 minutes and then another 5 minutes for my drinks. I ordered guava lime green tea w/ crystal pearl and the grapefruit & peach green tea w/ grapefruit jelly. (Note: there is a tea vs slush option, so make sure you're in the correct heading because the name of the drink doesn't say slush). Overall, both drinks were very refreshing. Overall, great location for Tsaocaa, in a shopping plaza right off the highway. The parking lot is smaller relative to the Walmart across the street, but still decent amount of parking spaces. They have cute decorations inside with the Line Friends bear named Brown!

I order delivery from here. A lot. Grub Hub. 3-4 drinks each time. Always get a milk tea with grass jelly Always 30% sugar The rest are fruit teas. My favorite is anything with grapefruit

Not my cup of tea but the ambiance is super cute and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I definitely believe in a second chance and maybe asking for recommendations next time.

Went to Walmart for a belt and saw this spot across the street. A quicc snacc before heading to the airport after the hotel breakfast was a bust .... I ordered the Orange Tea that was made to perfection and the wife got the Passionfruit Lime green Tea. For the meal I ordered the honey garlic and the wife ordered the hot and spicy both were fresh and cooked to order. The actually chicken didn't have "season" but the sauce made up for it. Perfect minimalist snacc to start the afternoon . I will add the spot was very clean and the sunlight shining in gave a great ambiance.

Been here 3 times. I like the wings and the taro bubble tea! Interior is clean and the flowers on the table add a nice touch. We placed our orders on a screen. Parking was easy to find. Other customers were there to hang out or study. The bathrooms were clean.

Tsaocaa is a great addition to boba variety in the Richmond area, the inside is clean and the decorations are cute and trendy. The drinks came out pretty quick but the fried chicken took alittle longer. *Matcha Slush 4/5 - I liked this! The matcha taste was there and the sweetness wasn't overwhelming. I enjoyed the drink overall *Grapefruit Yakult 5/5 - very refreshing! My girlfriend really liked this drink. Great grapefruit flavor and not too sweet. Overall I'd recommend checking this place out compared to other boba shops in the henrico/Richmond area!

Brown Sugar Milk Black Tea W. Bubble

I found this little spot while exploring near my new job. I loveeee mochi donuts so I was excited to see that this was nearby. Ordering is done on kiosks and quick and easy. They quickly prepared my order (brown sugar black milk tea and a mochi donut) and were friendly. The space is huge and there is plenty of room to just hangout and enjoy your treats. The milk tea was delicious and the donut was everything I was hoping for. The only reason I took off one star was that the prices were a bit more expensive than comparable spots but I still highly recommend if you are in the area.

I ordered Brown Sugar Milk Black Tea with Bubble and 70% sugar. The boba was chewy and I like how it wasn't super sweet. I also ordered Uji Matcha, which wasn't too sweet either. There's lots to choose from on the menu! Overall, satisfactory.

Got this it was good Lychee Milk Green Tea W. Yogurt Boba, And soy garlic wings 5 pcs, but wing flavor wasnt really good. Overall 6/10

I had a pretty good experience from service to the quality of the menu items that I got. There were 4 staff members that were there taking and making orders. Even though I came in at a busy time, I didn't have very long to wait until I got my drink order. I grabbed a strawberry magic stick, an ube bun and a pineapple bun along with a mango orange tea. The strawberry magic stick and the pineapple bun were delectable and the ube bun was perfect. Ube isn't very sweet, and I'm glad that this cafe stayed true to the ube flavor instead of adding a lot of sugar or altering the actual taste! The mango orange tea perfectly pared with the pastries! They have bottled drinks and cakes as well, but I didn't get to try them! They have a handful of tables and chairs inside, and they had quite a bit of people in there. It seems like they are a fave spot for locals. Some customers were just hanging out and some had laptops out, so they might be a good spot to do some work, too. They also have some merch on shelves (plushies and cups) if you're interested in that kind of thing. Definitely recommend if you're craving some treats!

I particularly like the Orange Pineapple and Orange Mango, but you can't go wrong with any of them. At just around $7 the price point is in line with what you would expect for a coffee replacement. The pastries are where Ben Wong shines. Showcased in the middle of the cafe, the ability to self select pastries often leaves me going home with more than I expect. The Pineapple Bun is fluffy with a mild sweetness, the Chicken Curry Bun is savory with a satisfying crunchy exterior, and the Taro Buns have a rich taro flavor. At $3-$5 per pastry you can't go wrong with any of them.

Overall, this location of Brecotea has standard drinks-- I especially enjoy the fruit tea and milk cap selection. Regardless, I have to take off a star for the boba quality the last time I went. It was sweet and creamy and the cake topping was smooth and sweet and foamy. They boba were squishy and chewy and you could actually TASTE the brown sugar flavor in them which I loved, bc I'm *picky* about boba. Nothing worse than a flavorless ball of nothing. After dreaming about this drink literally all week, l returned on Sunday afternoon with my partner. I got the same exact drink but it was nasty this time. (A different person was working, which is likely why, but It was still disappointing.) I only finished it bc I paid for it, but it just was not good. The boba were HARD and when you bit into them, you could see the lack of moisture in the middle. My partner got the pineapple passion fruit tea and liked it, aside from the boba being too hard. They have a gorgeous selection of baked goods, so I also tried the french cheesecake. It was...different. Less rich and way less sweet than your average cheesecake. You can really taste the cheese aspect. Not for me. This place is like a 20 minute drive for me, so I doubt I'll ever go out of my way to come here again.
