The service experience was unprofessional, unsafe, and unacceptable. After the driver of truck # NY 18212TV arrived, I requested to ride with him in the tow truck because I needed transportation. He refused without explanation. I then asked that my vehicle be placed in my driveway. The driver stated he could not do so. As a reasonable alternative, I asked that the vehicle be left safely in front of my driveway on the street. He also refused this request. At that point, the driver became verbally abusive, used profanity toward me, and behaved aggressively. He ultimately left my vehicle in the middle of the street, obstructing traffic, and then made an obscene gesture (middle finger) toward me before leaving. This behavior made me feel unsafe and disrespected and is completely inconsistent with the standards I expect from AAA and its contracted service providers. read more

I called the following morning, after three phone calls I finally was told again that they would be at my home with my car in a few hours. A few hours turned into 15 hours later. This may sound weird, but if your car has been towed for some parking infraction, you want it to be towed here. Yes, it's far and hard to find, you need to pay in cash, and you can expect to be on hold while they verify that they have your vehicle. Here is how I look at it: 1. Double check and then triple check that you are not parked in a no parking zone, driveway, near a hydrant etc. If you did park where you shouldn't, then ultimately no one is at fault-but you. 2. Thank God that you have to go here to get your car rather than to an NYPD tow pound. Enough said. 3. If you drive in to Manhattan to have dinner and go to a show afterward, you could easily pay more for parking than you will retrieving your car here. 4. Very shady business!! Should be no stars. If they tow you on a Friday, you can't pick up your vehicle until Monday even though they're open Saturday and Sunday. They say that there's only one woman who does the processing, but it's BS there's other people working they could train there just playing with their phones. It's a money making scheme they're running, charging over $1,200 for the weekend. Also I think they are in cahoots with the police since they towed our RV which we move every day. The police claim that people complain, but won't tell us who. We never even park it by anyone's home or driveway so I don't believe that. There are plenty of cars/RVs crashed up and ugly just sitting there for weeks or months which don't get towed. Ours is clean, insured, no tickets and it's moved everyday so it makes no sense. Then they tow it to a remote area on Johnson Street way back which I felt like I would get a flat driving on to pick it up. This isn't the first time either, another time they took it from a service road and there wasn't even a ticket on it. They claim it was part of a commercial tow, but it's not commercial plates! Ugh, my car was towed because the city was doing emergency construction. I called them up, they put me on hold for about 10 minutes, and then told me my car was 1.5 miles away. I spent money getting over there and my car wasn't there. I called back, and after being put on hold for a while again, they gave me a completely different address that was way closer to the original location. Got my car towed from these people 4 hours after the boot was put on (supposed to be 48 hours) didnt even give me a chance to get out of work so i can pay. Payed everything i had to i go and pick up my car pull out of the lot and head scraping sounds underneath my car. One of the guys who works there said this often happens and it could be the tow truck stretching the arms. Also spoke to manager Juan who said to call next day to get situation resolved. Next day is Saturday come to find out no one is in the office. Monday comes around Juan says bring it in the next day. Get a call from a rude, nasty man saying it's wear and tear, and they can't do anything. Super unprofessional and hung up the phone on me. Said manager Juan has no authority to bring in my car. Call the next day, and they keep me on hold. Call again, and they hang up on me. They are rude, unprofessional. I absolutely love Breen Brothers. I called on them several times in the past and recently used their services to transport a car that was stuck inside a tight garage after many years of storage. The car was at a difficult angle, making it difficult to load it onto the flatbed, The talented driver really knew what he was doing and managed to pull the car out, load it onto the flatbed and deliver it to destination, all without a scratch. Not one to leave reviews.... but sometimes a company just wow's me! This company is 5 star! All around wonderful experience. Put a claim in with insurance company and within seconds someone reached out to me to get specific details and let me know the tow truck was en route to the area. A couple of minutes later the driver called. Richie! What a gentleman. Arrived in less than 15 minutes. Took a look at the car and offered some great advice after diagnosing the problem. He didn't have to look at the car but I'm glad he did because I felt a lot better about the problem. I'm talking less than 5 minutes from when he arrived the vehicle was in the air and he was underneath checking it out. Then just to really go above and beyond...he towed the vehicle to the dealers service center (across the island).... got a hold of the manager on the sales side. Had the garage opened and backed it in! That's above and beyond - especially when I was just expecting him to leave it on the street outside, since it was after hours. Calls me and gives me the update. I mean cmon! This was the one of the best experiences with a broken down vehicle I've ever had. Totally put my wife and I at ease. my car was towed in front of my hotel by Breen Bros....a day before New Year's Eve. several hotel guests were towed away because the neighbor had decided that the cars parked in his unlocked parking lot were there illegally. Breen Bros accepted the assignment, even though it was clear that it concerned hotel guests. I lost my rental car for 4 days thanks to Breen Bros. and even though someone was at the towing company the day before New Year's Eve, and my car was parked in an open parking lot, they refused to release the car before the closong Days. When I was able to pick up the car after four days, it turned out that Breen Bros had towed my car while it was in parking position. This destroyed the entire steering system of the car and made the car uncontrollable. after they charged me $136 they told me to call the rental company about the damage to the car. damage caused by incorrect towing. After they left me without a car for 4 days and destroyed the car, they took away a fifth day of my visit to New York cause of arraonging a replacement car I had to pick up at the airport. they could have torn up the bill and provided better service after destroying the car. Ultimately, they also accepted the rental company's assignment to tow the broken car back to the rental company. disgusting. I'm giving this company a ZERO STAR RATING. Very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. Had my car towed by a vengeful neighbor. I went to Breen Brothters to pick up my vehicle, which Is where it was towed to after calling the police to find out. There were no signs on site ( Staing I was not to go into the yard or go near MY CAR) ,went to my car (knowing I still had to go inside to pay & sign paperwork) , man came out threatening he was police and pointing to his hip, we called the police, they called the police, he would not show identification proving he was a police officer. The employees surrounded the car, ( including the woman who's job is to stay behind her desk ) yelling and threatening, started to lift the car with me inside and the door open which is against all safety and insurance protocols. My leg could have been crushed. I did not feel safe to get out until police arrived. Would like their insurance to be aware that they lifted my vehicle with me inside of it. Osha and safety violations for sure !!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND UNPROFESSIONAL. If the man near the lot had approached me correctly explaining to me what info I needed to go inside with I would not have reacted the way I did. We called for a price quote for a simple tow and was quoted an astronomically high price. We politely declined only to receive a call from the owner himself a few minutes later promising a lower rate just to get our business. The next day, they towed our car and upon drop off added over $100 to the price "firmly quoted" by the owner. The tow truck driver basically held our car for ransom and pretended as though our originally quoted price never existed. We ended up having to pay the original price we declined. On August 23rd one of your tow trucks picking up a car for a neighbor across the street damaged my neighbors drain pipe and damaged my front garden. Leaving a huge hole, broken stones, a mess and damaging a planter. Upon getting home I called and left a message after my neighbor called and emailed as instructed by Juan, an account of what happened and photos. After several calls, I received a call from Crystal on Thursday August 26th. She assured me that someone one get back to me in a timely matter and informed me that the bosses have been working in the field due to staff shortage. I called Crystal today, 2 1/2 weeks after the incident. Crystal said that no one has gotten back to me due to the storm. After some back and forth conversation, she ultimately hung up on me after informing me that my damage was "just a hole, it's just dirt". Crystal's claim of "it's just dirt, it's just a hole' is not exactly accurate. That hole and dirt at the moment is a liability to me because if someone falls in the "just a hole" guess who is getting sued. Due to my own personal health issues , fixing the "just a hole" isn't as easy as Crystal thinks. Maybe Crystal would like to come help me since it's no big deal. I understand and respect that due to COVID, many businesses are short staffed and also understand that we had a severe storm that affected many. However, that storm took place a week and a half after the incident. A simple follow up phone call would have gone a long way. My damage is "just a hole" but my neighbor has a severely bent drain pipe. Your company has made it very clear that you have no intention of fixing the wrong done. Your company is unprofessional, rude and has no respect for other's property or time. If I ever hung up on a client I would be fired. That is not what I want in this case, nor do I expect it happen, but Crystal, you make want to work on your customer service. I hit a pothole and got a flat, requested roadside assistance at around 6:30PM, and the tow truck came at around 9:40PM. Took them over three hours to arrive, without any kind of call or apologies. And that's not all. Since it's past the working hours for all the nearby car dealerships that would replace the tire, they towed my car to the dealership and left it, WITH THE KEYS IN THE CAR. Until the next day at noon, I still haven't heard from any one about the status of my car, I called Breen brothers and they said "our work was done, it was towed." I called the dealership, they had NO IDEA someone dropped a car to fix, they had to go out and look for my car, where they finally found it abandoned in the parking lot over night with the keys inside.
