After many years of having the same dentist, he finally retired three years ago. Having not seen a dentist since then, figured it was time for a cleaning and checkup. I saw Breeze Dental had excellent reviews and they were close to home. Since I was by their office, I went in to schedule an appointment. I was greeted by their friendly receptionist, who helped me out on confirming my insurance, scheduling my appointment and having all the forms I would need for my first visit. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by the friendly staff and quickly taken to my room for my exam and cleaning. I was made comfortable and even was able to watch Netflix, while I was having my procedure. The technician who cleaned my teeth and did the xrays was very gentle. Unfortunately, I had a cavity. The doctor explained the procedure to me as well as explained my insurance plan and it's coverage for filling the cavity. Also, the doctor was able to fill it then, which I chose to do. The doctor explained everything he was doing as he did the procedure and was also very gentle. My experience at Breeze Dental was excellent and I will continue to use them. So my husband and I came in a couple of months ago and it was pretty great! It was sooooo hard to get my husband out of bed to get to the appointment but when he came back he told me that he LOVED it here and that he had FUN! Lol, I was in Awe! He really appreciated that they took the time to pause the cleaning and change the episode on Netflix for him! Haha yes, they ask what you'd like to see on Netflix! Pretty creative and cool! I will admit though that the first time I called, I felt like the receptionist was kind of rude and not very helpful and kinda short. I was even looking into other offices because of it. I saw the reviews that mentioned her but the second time I called she was super sweet and nice and in person she was nice as well! I do also wish that they would've explained my insurance a bit more! I got my first dental cleaning in longer than I care to admit but from the moment I called to make my appointment to the time I left after my appointment, I was more than pleased with the service here! Receptionist is a doll, my hygienist answered all my questions with a smile, and the dentist seemed very knowledgeable. I did have to wait about 30 mins after my cleaning for the dentist to finally see me, but what doctor visit doesn't come with some waiting. To be honest, I'm a little hesitant when it comes to finding a new dentist. In the past, I've had some dishonest dentists pushing me to get work done when I didn't need it necessarily. Coming to Breeze dental, I walked into a clean and bright office. Rot staff was friendly and she took her time to explain what my insurance covered. She was such a sweetheart. Next, I met Dr. Wang. He was so nice and didn't create this healthcare plan for me and didn't break down any numbers for me. It was simple. He also asked me if I wanted remove the old glue I had as residue from retainers. No dentists in the past 10yrs has ever asked me if I wanted to remove it. That showed me that he cares about detail on his patient's teeth. I loved my experience. Staff is great. So I usually am afraid of the dentist and hate going. This was my first visit to their office, and I actually had a very pleasant time! The admin staff was polite and efficient. The dental assistant was very kind and gentle when taking xrays and teeth cleaning. She did not make it hurt at all. The dentist himself was very kind and comfortable to talk to. I call in July for an appt. and Leticia goes through the process of adding me as a patient and has me transfer my primary care listed on my insurance to Dr. Wang. Once I'm done, she said he won't be able to see us until after Sept. 20th. I don't hear from them to schedule appts., so I ask for one online. She calls today to say the dentist can only see me if I go in as a cash patient. Complete waste of time! Apparently now he is no longer taking DMOs. read more

I'm definitely a person who hates the dentist. I always lag it in coming. I have been having pain in one of my teeth and needed a new dentist. Not happy with my last dentist, I found this place on Yelp. They don't have 5 stars for nothing. They truly earn their stars and I couldn't agree more with the other reviews. I made my appointment and the lady was super sweet. I walked in, checked in and they took me back within 2 minutes. Once in the chair the girl got me set up and the tv on the wall was ready with Netflix up. She let me choose what I wanted to watch and within minutes again the dentist came in to start x-rays. Once that was done he went over the pictures, explained to me throughly what he was going to do and the best options. What I liked most was that he printed a paper to explain and show me what my insurance covers and what I would have to pay before anything was done. He is very knowledgeable and knows what he is doing. Once I agreed he started to numb me to fix a filling I had. When he would tell me he would be back in a few minutes, he was. I was very happy with the overall service and the dentist himself. I absolutely will keep coming here. I have never been happy with a dentist so I finally know where to go when I need to! Breeze Dental,, honestly I'm scared to death of dentists, but something about peeking in through the windows, and seeing how pretty it was inside, reading the two reviews that were already on yelp are all what helped me stop by to make an appointment, that, and Dr. Wang is USC graduate. I liked how his degrees were on the walls of his office. I normally do my research on dentists, I post on facebook to ask friends about their experiences, and recommendations, anything that would convince me to give them a try, and all I said to myself when I decided to just walk into this office (even though no one on Facebook had told me to come) was that this would be a check-up, if I didn't feel comfortable after that check-up then I didn't have to come back for any more work, but the beauty of it was that I LOVED IT! I'll definitely be coming back. What was even better is that my husband, & i walked in to ask if they accepted our insurance, the receptionist said, if we could stay that Dr. Wang could see us now,, and that was PERFECT. I had liked him already. Everywhere else I called had me waiting for months to get a check-up, and i understood why maybe they weren't completely booked because it is a new establishment, but if you live in the area you have to give Dr. Wang a try. He's very professional, very knowledgeable, and super comforting. I mean the sound of the tools still stresses me out, but he talked with me the entire time through my cleaning, and he kept asking if I was okay. Beside the place being pretty, and clean (since their assistant is a germophobic, that was absolutely fine with me) with all those tools they use for my mouth. The other advantage... all the while they took x-rays of my mouth, & did my cleaning I was watching Dexter on Netflix. AWESOMENESS! All I could think about was Dexter, and not so much this stranger looking inside my mouth. Hahaha,, stop by you won't regret it. I'll let you know later when I get more work done, but my cleaning was the best I've ever had. Ha. I'll come back tomorrow for cleaning #2 if I had to. First let me say that I normally hate going to the dentist. I don't mind the needles and the drilling, but I hate feeling like im at a car sales lot with pushy sales people. The staff is friendly, there was minimal wait time , and the office is nice and clean. The dental hygienist was so gentle when performing the cleaning, that I hardly felt it. I decided to come here because of yelp, I saw his first time cleaning and x-rays for a low price. I went in, the staff is amazing and so is the doc! I hadn't been to the dentist in over 2 years so I was in need of a clean. He gave me a full clean and spent careful time cleaning my teeth, polishing, flossing, and really went through every single tooth! Best cleaning I've had and his prices are low! Breeze Dental is great! I've been going here for just over a year now and must say that I'm incredibly happy to have found this place. Dr. Wang is a great dentist and is simply there to help take care of your teeth. There isn't any up selling happening here like there are at many less than reputable dentist offices. They let you watch Netflix here as well when you get your work done. The only thing that I wish they would do is work on younger children. Like a previous reviewer said, they only take them once they're 11. Although they have a relationship with the pediatric dentist next door, that place doesn't really have its act together and I just wish I could take the whole family to a single place. read more

So I called Breeze Dental, and Leticia, who's always at the front desk, immediately made me feel good about the place. She was patient, answered all of my questions (which were many), and gave me multiple options for scheduling my first appointment. I needed a new crown, but I wanted to get consultations from a few dentists. Dr. Wang thoroughly explained what the procedure entailed, and even though he had set time aside to begin the procedure, he never tried to convince me to let him do it even after I let him know I was going for another consultation with another dentist. Dr. Wang and the other staff are great. I had a fear of dental work due to previous bad experiences but now with Breeze Dental I don't have that anxiety before an appointment. I felt very informed about my condition and the treatment that I would receive. I absolutely love this place! I haven't been to the dentist in a very long time. Mainly because I hate it, I am one of those annoying nervous patients with bad gag reflexes and who is scared of everything. But I decided to give this place a try because of all the good reviews on here. The receptionist, Leticia is the nicest! I immediately heard it in her voice the moment I called to make an appointment and she was the same every other time she called me to confirm my insurance till the day I went in. My hygienist was Shay (sorry if the spelling is wrong) and she was amazing too! I let her know what my concerns were from the beginning ,and she made every step so easy and made me feel at ease as much as she possibly could. She took the time to answer any questions I had and even let me take my time when the anxiety was kicking in! Dr. Wang was super cool too! He was thorough with explaining what exactly was going on in the X-rays and what was going to be the treatment plan. He understood and was sensitive to the type of patient that I am. He also took the time to explain the breakdown of the costs and my insurance coverage. Found this dentistry thanks to Yelp. I hadn't had dental insurance for many years and when I finally got coverage I decided to try this place out because of all the high reviews. I knew going in that I would have to get A LOT of work done, but I was so pleased that when the dentist explained everything I needed to get done he didn't try and nickel and dime me. He explained what was a priority to get fixed and what could wait. The last dentist I had gone to (a long time ago but also in Whittier) just wanted to fix everything to get as much money as possible, they didn't care about my comfort and where very rough, even rude saying that I must not care about my teeth because of my gums bleeding after a cleaning. This dentistry is the complete opposite of that. When I got my cleaning, my gums bled and the dentist said "Oh that'll stop after a couple of cleanings, totally normal since you haven't been to the dentist in a while." I was like, woah! He didn't give me grief! Great first impression. I had my first filling done with them and throughout the procedure they explained where they were at in the process, asked how I was doing several times and made sure my favorite show on Netflix was playing. They're simple, to the point and HONEST. I'm not sure where they fall cost wise, I'm lucky that my dental program covers everything I need to get done. But when the process is streamlined, comfortable and easy does the price matter at that point if you have suitable coverage? I think not. Yelp really helped me with this one. I needed to find a new dentist so I relied on Yelp to lead me in the right direction. I was a little skeptical because they had way too many outstanding reviews so I thought maybe it was too good to be true. Finally made my appointment and was pleased from start to finish. Like most have said on here Leticia is super nice. Someone actually crashed in front of their office so the front was all boarded up; however this didn't impact the quality of their service. Leticia explained to me ahead of time that there was an accident and where to park and whatnot. My GPS took me to the wrong side of the plaza and Leticia was kind enough to guide me as I was driving and even came and waited at the door for me. My dental assistant (Shay?) was nice and super patient with me as well. My gagging from the xrays didn't seem to annoy/frustrate her. If it did, she kept it professional. By the way...Watching Netflix is a great distraction while you are getting your work done. The Dentist was nice, thorough and to the point. I appreciated his explanations and answering my additional questions. The best part is that they didn't try to up-sale me on stuff I don't need...i.e.,electric toothbrushes.
