We are back, almost 6 years later, and the food is as good as we remember. Service was friendly and we enjoy eating our breakfast in the patio. It was our first time trying the churro waffle and it reminded me of the Disneyland churro with syrup. Delicious. I've tried many breakfast burrito and now I know why this one tops all the others. It's their house made aoili sauce. Bomb.

Perfect beach-casual breakfast spot to fuel up before a day in the sun. Waffles are made-to-order, with sprinkles or chocolate chips inside and out, or for a more traditional taste, covered in strawberries and Nutella. Whatever your taste, the waffles are light a fluffy inside, with the classic Belgian crisp form. The breakfast sandwiches come with an option of bacon or sausage, with a thick egg scramble and cheese on croissant, bagel or English muffin. The coffee and espresso are tasty, and they have hot cocoa for the kids. Friendly service, and nice outdoor covered dining make this spot a great choice for a cool breezy morning in Pismo. Next time I'm in town, we'll definitely come try more of the menu.

We loved this little place in Pismo. We found it through yelp and really wanted some cool ice cream. We went in and don't be alarmed if you don't see the ice cream out and about (we were expecting that). The ice cream specials are on the menu so just look there. They were super nice to us and there was a cute patio we sat in to continue watching the car show taking place outside. Would come back!

This is a cute little casual cafe with a nice seating area outdoors. I had the smoked salmon toast and it was pretty tasty. The biggest drawback is that there is no restroom, even for paying customers. I asked, and was told that we would have to go down and use the public restrooms at the pier. This seems a little odd to me, as they serve food and drink. Also, it is quite breezy hence the name so prepare accordingly :)

Cute little coffee shop. I got a latte with vanilla and caramel, it was good. My daughter got a slice of their peach cobbler, she loved it. I liked it, i thought it was a bit chewy instead of crispy. I did love that they had tables right outside and they're right next door to Pismo Beach Hotel.

What a fun stop for breakfast. A+ rating for the selection of waffles. Limited seating both indoors and a beautiful outdoor seating area that is pet friendly. The service was top notch. If you are a tourist looking for an adventure I recommend parking down at Grover Beach. You can walk the Beach to Pismo (25 minutes) the stop at Breezeway in Pismo for breakfast and then walk back. You can either walk on the beach or the boardwalk. If you don't feel up to a walk you can park right by the cafe although be aware it can get busy during heavy traffic times.

I went to Breezeway Cafe this morning for breakfast I always thought they just served coffee, but turns out they have a ton of delicious breakfast options. Everything on the menu looked so good, but I went with the small biscuits & gravy, a half waffle, and the half churro waffle. The biscuits & gravy were a win! I'm usually picky about them, but the gravy was flavorful with little chunks of sausage (I think ) and the biscuit was spot on. My regular waffle with powdered sugar was fluffy and perfect-- not too crispy, not too soft, just right. The churro waffle stole the show though... cinnamon, sweet cream, and a glaze that was chef's kiss. I will definitely eat here again.

This is cute breakfast spot in Pismo Beach. I had the breakfast burrito with grilled chicken and avacado and it was delicious . The latte was also very good. My only complaint is that there was no restroom and only about 6 tables inside and outside.

Save your money! Pretty bad for what you're paying for! Got a bowl with tatter tots and was just slop on the plate, didn't even wanna finish it. Good vanilla latte though!

One of the best breakfast spots around! We've been to Breezeway Café a handful of times now, and it's always solid. The food is great, the menu has plenty to choose from, and the staff has been consistently polite every time we've visited. Not only do they have a great breakfast selection, but also fancy coffees and a variety of ice cream! We love sitting outside, even when it's chilly. I mean, come on, it's Pismo!! We don't mind, we love it. Plus, it's tucked just off the main street, so it's a little more peaceful and away from all the foot traffic. Definitely worth a stop.

Staff were super friendly and our food was delicious. The breakfast sandwich is $7.95 which in my opinion is pretty cheap, and it was tasty. We were all satisfied with our meals. However, they skimped out on the drinks... a third of it was whipped cream before even taking a sip. The outdoor seating is pretty spacious and next to the Pismo Beach Hotel. They don't have public restrooms but the Pismo Beach pier is a short couple minutes walk away.

Small cafe with outdoor seating. Staff were super nice. Lox avocado toast was good. Lots of avocado and smoked salmon. I also grabbed a peach cobbler from the fridge and they offered to warm it up for me with ice cream, so we ended up having dessert for breakfast, which was awesome. My friend got the southwest burrito and it looked pretty good. Pretty large portion.

We had a large order at this place with some modifications. We are vegetarian and we were told "we do not have vegan or vegetarian food" even though we ordered the veggie burrito. Not only did they mess up our orders, but it took 30 mins for our "to-go" food to come out that we ended up eating the food that came out first while standing and waiting. They did apologize 3 times for messing up our order 3 times. The savory food is average at best. My kids did enjoy the waffles though, which is why I gave them 2 stars. They need to have better service and need to cater to different dietary modifications, this is California after all! read more

Really cute place to grab a quick breakfast. We ordered a lox toast, breakfast burrito, strawtella waffle and a egg muffin sandwich. Everything came out super fast and tasted fresh. We ate outside in the patio area. Wish they had fresh juices available, but all in all, a great breakfast! read more

I enjoyed the food options here just wish the overall experience had been better. A 40 minute wait for a waffle and breakfast sandwich is simply unacceptable. The cafe should consider informing customers of an extraordinary wait when they accept an order if their kitchen is backed up. read more

This will be our new breakfast place when we got to Pismo Beach. The waffles were light and fluffy. It's good whether it's sweet or savory. My little girl who's a picky eater loved the chocolate waffles and my husband and son got the bacon and cheese. We loved the fact that it was not heavy at all. The cashier was very friendly as well. I was on my way to another breakfast spot and saw this places and decided to stop. SO GLAD I did. Got 3 breakfast items and all 3 were amazing. The sauce they put on breakfast sandwiches is AMAZING. The amount of bacon, quality of bacon and how well it was cooked, all amazing. Their bagels and croissants were amazing. I have had so many terrible croissants in the past years but this one was perfect. So happy we stopped here. read more

Breezeway Cafe is a really great spot for quick bites! The staff is friendly and most importantly the food is really good and filling! I got the Southwest Chicken Breakfast Burrito. It came with salsa and it was delicious! I highly recommend the breakfast burrito! My boyfriend got the Waffles with banana and strawberry which was really tasty! I am from Kansas and I flew out to stay with a friend. She took me here and I have never in my life had a better waffle. I got the Strawnella waffle and added bananas. IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! The service was great and the seating was beautiful. I felt the need to make this review because I truly met Jesus when I took a bite of this waffle. LIKE WOW! 100% reccomend. read more

Needing to drink coffee and warm up on a cold Saturday afternoon. The streets are busy but Breezeway Cafe is an oasis. We are the only customers for their last half hour before closing at 3pm. Good coffee, nice scone. We sat in the quiet courtyard out back. Hidden by the hotel above it? Glad no one else had found it! read more

We were looking for a nice, sit down, brunch location for Mother's Day. In looking through their pictures, etc., it appeared that Breezeway Cafe fit the bill. Boy, were we wrong. This is a tiny shop with only two tables inside the front door and several tables outside in the.....breezeway between two buildings. After calling around to other restaurants and finding them all full, it looked like we were stuck with this spot. We did call Breezeway a couple of days prior asking to make reservations and were told they didn't take any - now it made sense why they didn't. You order at the register and then go find your own table. The menu is fairly limited, but again, this is a tiny spot. They do have gluten free waffles, but frankly, they aren't very good. The burritos are pretty good, but not above average. We were pleased to see an extensive coffee bar menu, including alternative milks (soy, almond, oat, etc.), but they don't have decaf. What??? Seriously, if you are going to have a good coffee bar menu like that, have decaf too. It turned out to be a good Mother's Day, but more because of the company, rather than the food. This is a decent spot if you want coffee and ice cream in a puffy waffle while walking the streets of Pismo, but it really isn't a breakfast/brunch or lunch spot. read more

The food was very bad. I ordered the scrambled eggs and they were made from one of those ready egg mix boxes. The eggs were dense and almost hard just like they were cooked in the microwave for 2 minutes. Coffee was also bad for both of us and had to be thrown out. read more

AMAZING GLUTEN FREE WAFFLES!!! I had a wonderful experience their with my family who also enjoyed their regular waffles! My only complaint was that there seems to be a big delay between being out everyone's plates. We typically wait for everyone to have their food before starting but the first ones that came out we're getting cold and we were still waiting for the last 2 of our 6 plates. Also, the children got their food and hit chocolates after everyone else already had their coffees and food which made it really difficult for them to just sit there (especially the 3 year old). I always appreciate when restaurants bring out the children's plates first since it's easier for the adults to wait. Other than that, the food and customer service was great. Super cute outdoor eating area too! read more

This little cafe has a beautiful back patio that is spaced out for all who are covid conscious. You order at the counter and then sit down. Come hungry because their portions are a good size. My husband and I shared a breakfast bowl and we were full until dinner. Their waffles are beautiful too. It's also very affordable. Great family breakfast place...highly recommend. read more

We had breakfast here today and it was so delicious. I had the strawtella waffle and my husband had the bagel breakfast sandwich and both were outstanding. The waffle was one of the best I've ever had! It was served with fresh strawberries, whipped cream and Nutella drizzle. Wowza! We met the owner, Larry, and he was so friendly and kind. We even bought a bottle of his own BBQ sauce as per the recommendation of a friendly regular. Super friendly staff and outdoor patio add to the charm! Highly recommend. read more

My GF and I ordered waffles and they were both very good. I also ordered a cold latte that was from a local mom and pop beanery called Quintessa I believe. Coffee was good as well. Both ladies were friendly and helpful going over options. I would eat here again. We actually took our food to the pier and our bag had everything we needed for a to go order read more

Finally got to try this place! It is so adorable and cute. Prices were affordable, and the food was great. My boyfriend and I asked numerous questions, but the cashier answered every single one. Yes. Our online ordering is set to turn on and off at a specific time but every once in awhile it fails to turn on. You can always call and place an order or just come in and sit in our courtyard.

I decided to get the Dominican mocha which was made with dark chocolate. It had a rich chocolatey flavor and I could still taste the espresso which is exactly how I like my mochas! For food, we tried their banana bread, strawberry oatmeal muffin, and the egg sausage cheese croissant. All of the food was warmed up and it was delicious! I would get everything again. Scorpion Bay has some leather chairs and a couch to sit at, a booth, and a few high top tables. There's also a table to sit at outside. The employees were all friendly and nice. We loved everything about our visit to Scorpion Bay and look forward to the next time we're in town so we can enjoy some delicious coffee and food!

I think it was good we skipped the cream cheese frosting since it was super sweet. The roll itself already had sugar and cinnamon and was good. Also, got a hot chocolate. We didn't mind the wait (8 am to 9 am) since we plan to stay all day and night to see the fireworks.

Wasn't expecting much, considering it's on the beach, and with prices going up as they have been as of late. We were blown away by the amount of food we received, especially considering the price. I ordered the breezeway bowl was expecting a 4" to go bowl, but instead got an 8" oval bowl filled to near overfilling. My wife picked scrambled eggs, bacon and toast from the a la carte menu. I could barely finish it all and I'm a full grown real live adult. My wife was unable to finish all her eggs. I will definitely come here again, and highly recommend you do as well. read more

Cute new cafe that replaced the crepe shop...although we were sad to see the crepe shop gone, the food here was sooooo good! My hubby had the breakfast burrito and I had the churro waffle. The burrito was just the right size and very delicious. The churro waffle was absolutely wonderful. Can't go wrong with that! They also have bubble waffles with ice cream that come in a huge cone that we will definitely be back to try. They also have signs up saying they are getting espresso soon, so that's exciting!
