First time trying this place last night. Was sooo good! Happy hour specials 1/2 priced margaritas and loaded nachos. We got the shredded chicken on the nachos and the chicken melted in our mouths it was so tender. And the nachos were so tasty and the portion was huge! The margarita was excellent as well! Disappointing. Ordered the $12.50 burrito + $1.00 for adding sour cream. Yes that is a $13.50 burrito. Some chips and spilled salsa were included to be fair. Selected their vegetarian protein which is tempeh. After getting into the burrito it was becoming clear that I wasn't hitting of the tempeh. So from the middle of the burrito I dumped out a good sampling to validate my suspicion of lack of tempeh. Picking through the over abundance of rice I found little tiny piece of tempeh, nothing near what I would expect for burrito over $10. Even the black beans and corn were quite minimal. At the bottom of the burrito is where most of my lettuce seemed to be. I showed the waitress the fillings and lack of tempeh which she said "I'll let bri know". 5 or so minutes later the waitress returned to say simply "we put 1/4 lb of any protein in every burrito", not acknowledging the proof sitting before me. The guacamole was good but the price for burrito filled with mostly rice, I would not recommend this place to anyone. Make a better burrito at home. read more

Stopped by for dinner after hearing great things about this place. We started with chips and queso and a pitcher of margaritas, which were all delicious. Our server was extremely attentive even though it was obvious that he had a lot of tables and was overwhelmed. The only negative was the kitchen was extremely backed up and we had been seated for about 2 hours before we got our food. We definitely understand that the restaurant industry is extremely overwhelmed right now so we weren't upset about the wait however when our food finally did come out it was unfortunately only lukewarm. The vibe inside was real cool. But that's really the good part of the review ends. The food just wasn't anything other than plain? The ground beef didn't feel like it had any flavor. The queso was kind of chunky but again no real flavor to it. I think the place has great potential and maybe we got an off night. I had come in around 8:15-8:30pm, looking for drinks and to possibly eat. I had not checked what time the kitchen stopped serving upon my arrival. The 2 margaritas took about 15 minutes. What a breath of fresh, disco ball filled air! The food is traditional enough to not be boring but not over the top. Our group had 3 different Hex options, a fun crunch wrapped burrito type thing (ground beef, pork and tempeh). The tempeh is a great change from tofu. We all enjoyed. Went once and will never go back. The waiter basically ignored use because we were 20 year olds. It took 3 and a half hours just to get food. The waiter clearly had friends who she was serving and put their order in first. After about 3 hours we asked the manager where are food was and she said that it was back ordered.
