Good food/beverages and awesome staff! We found great seats at the bar and were able to sit immediately. We decided on a margarita flight and elote. Should have spent the entire night here because they really turned a frown upside down!

Amazing service, amazing food and great vibes! We came here around 5:00 on a Tuesday for taco Tuesday and were seated right away. The menu has soooo many delicious options it was so hard to choose I got the arroz con pollo with jalapeños added and my partner got the Norteño dish. Both looked and smelled delicious. Beyonddddd flavorful! The drinks were strong (in a good way)! You only need one maybe two since they aren't watered down! One of the best taco Tuesdays we've had in a while!

It was a Wednesday night at 8:30 pm and still hadn't eaten yet!! I'm rolling solo, and I needed a place where I could get good food at a later time and wouldn't feel awkward without a wingman. So I pondered a few places, and Aguacates came to mind. I'm no stranger to this place, I can easily say it is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants due to the portion size, price, and above all ....the taste!! Also, the decor is bright and festive, though it isn't A huge restaurant it has a big personality!! The first and my favorite dish at Aguacates is molcajete!! It's 4 meats with veggies and cheese served with salad, rice, and beans in a sizzling clay bowl. I've had this dish at other restaurants, and I feel they do it best ! I've recommended this dish to many other people, and they agree!! However, during my last visit, I was craving a quesadilla. The waiter, who was absolutely awesome, recommended I get the Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. I really love this dish, full of flavor, stuffed, and most importantly, cheesy !! I'll definitely order this again!! So please check this place out and don't forget to grab a margarita as well!! They have a great collection of tequilas!! They recently opened a 2nd location in Blasedell, which is bigger and offers more seating.

We headed downtown initially looking for a brunch spot and found a lot of places were closed on Sundays. Thankfully, this spot was open. We were seated right away, the server, and the bartender were very nice. We ordered a standard margarita and a spicy margarita. Both were very delicious and very large. For lunch we did a chimichanga with rice and beans and the steak fajitas, both of which were good. Chips and salsa were great. I loved that the salsa was not chunky and had good flavor. The restaurant wasn't that busy, great Spanish music is always a plus. Overall was fast, friendly service, food came out pretty quick. Great prices too for the lunch options.

Always a 5. Service is fast and friendly. Food is always hot and delicious. We went on a Saturday evening around 6:30. 4 of us and we were sat in about 5 minutes which was great. I always get the flautas with a side of refried beans. The chicken, shells and cheese sauce is always so good! I also get a blended raspberry marg with sugar on the rim. Always my favorite!

The ambiance was definitely bright & colorful the energy was definitely In effect!! The service was great, our waitress was very tentative to us, and made sure our glasses of water were full. The food, we started with tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa I enjoyed the chips not so much. I ordered the tortilla soup, as it arrived and I looked at it, I was expecting other ingredients in it. I have eaten tortilla soup plenty of times to know all the ingredients needlessly to say it was very tasteful, but some ingredients I didn't eat. I'll definitely visit again but will order something different. My guest ordered a churro, no complaints whatsoever she enjoyed every bite! It was a great time! Also the noise was average.

To me, the best Mexician food around! Everything is delicious, and I have not had anything bad! Love love love. Fresh authentic and tasty!

    Pollo Con Crema

I was very surprised to see the ratings for this place! This was honestly the best pollo con crema I have ever had. Sometimes with Mexican restaurants it will just be quest and chicken. But this was so flavorful with a bunch of other stuff added. The drinks were good too, definitely a little pricey. Our server was the best ever! We came on the day of the eclipse, so it was super busy. However, she was the sweetest person, and everyone at the table agreed. Since this place is right on Elmwood, I would totally come back a agin for the pollo con crema alone!

My goodness, this food was phenomenal. The chips and salsa are addicting, if you aren't careful you can fill up on those before your food comes out. I had the pollo loco chicken plate and it was delicious. Also tried fried icecream for the first time. Two thumbs up!

The food was pretty good. I ordered the enchiladas. The meat needed a little more flavoring but they weren't bad. The beans and cheese enchiladas were definitely better. I also ordered an Al Pastor taco. It was pretty good. It was marinated well. The service was fantastic and the food arrived fast. The music was on point, loved the ambiance.

service was sooooo slow here. they were nice but we were constantly tryna track this guy down to order them pay. The food was very meh but I don't think it's that different from any other Tex mix place in buffalo. They have free chips and salsa which was nice (said to be spicy but I barely felt a tingle, probably cuz I'm used to Asian spice) the atmosphere was really cute though and I appreciated all the little touches of decoration!!

The spot always have great Mexican food. It's always a nice regular atmosphere in here. The male server we had was ok, but wasn't the best.

Finally made it over here for a dinner with some friends and what a great spot to snag some Mexican food right on the Elmwood strip. It's a smaller sized restaurant so seating is relatively limited. We had a table of 4 on a Friday night around 730 and the wait was 25 minutes which was not bad at all. They take your number down to call you when the table is ready so no need to stick around if the wait is excessive. Staff was friendly and responsive! Chips and salsa when we sat down and the waiter even gave us refills on both. Food came out nice and quick and was delicious. Ordered the jumbo burrito which was the perfect amount of food. For drinks they do have a lot of specials. Went with the shot of tequila and Modelo pony for $7. Overall I would say very quality Mexican food for slightly above average pricing. Worth the price!

The toppings bar is absolutely the best in Western, NY with anything that you can imagine (except for radish slices). Our food was ready in just a few short minutes and all was to our liking. My husband and I love sitting at the bar and watching the show of endless birthday singing, and patron sparklers with music. There is always music. You can't be in Margaritas and not smile at least once. The spirit in there is infectious. On this particular date, we got to catch some of the Sabres game, which was a treat and celebrate St. Patrick's weekend drinking margaritas. I got a flight, as always. I'm usually not a frozen marg girl, but when at Margaritas...plus on one flavor you always get a mini rubber duck and they are adorable and you can take it home with you. I like adding it to my collection in my Jeep. The standout marg was the watermelon. It wasn't too sweet. Prickly pear and dragon fruit were a little too sweet for me. We finally went inside and were told another 10 mins after waiting almost 45. So all told it was about an hour wait. I get they're busy but they were not honest about the wait time. Then we were sat in the bar area and it was just very loud and rowdy thanks to what we found out was a rehearsal dinner, seriously it went down about 10 octaves after they left. Our server seemed very frazzled. When we first sat down we were given a smaller dinner menu and told the regular menu was only for drinks. Our server explained they are training a new kitchen. So we go to order and our appetizer came before our drinks. We ordered the guac and it was tasty. When we finally got our margaritas they were good. Then they delivered a queso to the table that wasn't ours, but let us keep it anyway. Then dinner arrived. I ordered shrimp tacos- and chicken came. I had to wait while they made me the correct tacos, according to the bill the server had put them in wrong. I also felt $20 for three taco shells with 3-4 shrimp each was a lot. You can not mix and match taco types. The only toppings provided are a very spicy sauce, cilantro, and onion. I ended up putting the queso on them which was good. Just never had tacos with that limited toppings for the price and no toppings bar. We repeatedly asked for more water during the meal and never got any so my friend had to go up to the bar. We ordered a soft serve margarita (the real reason we were here!) for desert to share as the flavor was chocolate and raspberry twist. It was really good! Very rich and definitely a sweet treat type of drink. The server said the flavors aren't usually like that or as thick as ours was. All this to say I honestly feel they are trying to figure some things out right now. The food itself and drinks were very good. I enjoyed the soft serve margarita and would love to try some other flavors that aren't as rich in the future. Would I go back? Yes but not for a few months. The service piece of this place is not it right now. I wouldn't order the tacos again either as I don't feel the value is there. My friend has been here dozens of times and she said it's never like this. So I hope to give them another try!
