Everyone I have encountered the few times I have been there has been kind, gentle and communicative. They are efficient and not trying to upsell you every time you're there. They were recommended to me, and I definitely recommended them!! But hey do have a parking lot, & if you don't have insurance? They have excellent options for you!!! LOVE THIS DENTIST!!!!

BEWARE! Predatory Billing Practices…read more I want to start by saying that my complaint is NOT about the dentists or their abilities. The dentists and dental assistants are fantastic. My complaint is entirely with this office's billing practices. I have UHC HMO insurance. This provider was the only one in the area that took our insurance so we did not have other options. I know this insurance isn't the best, and this provider appears to take advantage of that. With an HMO, the provider is under contract to charge only the contracted amount for covered services. As the patient, I should not be charged more than the amount my insurance allows. I went in for a root canal and crown, and the price I was quoted was almost $900 more than the contracted amount I should have been charged. When I questioned the cost, the front desk told me, "UHC is awful and they have outdated copay amounts in their system for services most dental offices no longer offer" I then asked if there was a less expensive crown option, and I was told, "No, this is the only type of crown dental offices do now. That's what I mean. They're outdated." As a patient I have no way to know what services they provide or dont and can only take the staffs word for it. Based on those statements, I proceeded with treatment under the impression that it was my only option and signed the treatment plan. I paid a $700 down payment and enrolled in automatic monthly payments. I pushed back through my employer and contacted UHC. UHC told me that what the provider did is called balance billing and that it is not allowed, so they opened a formal complaint. During the investigation, every one of my monthly payments was made. There was one that hit right when I had a fraud charge so I logged in and made a manual payment in their system. Despite that, I was called almost daily by the billing department and threatened with collections every single month even after that one hiccup. outside of that one month, all recurring charges went through. I called the office and was told to send an email. I sent my original email plus three follow up emails and never received a response. Later, I was told I should have called instead. When I explained that I had called and was specifically instructed to email, I was told they were too busy to respond and that I should have called again after emailing (which they never advised me to do prior). It was incredibly unprofessional. I STILL have not received a response, and that was over two months ago and this is the SECOND time I was told someone from Regional would call me and never did. I question if their regional even exists. After months of back and forth, the UHC representative handling my case, who was very thorough and put a lot of effort into helping me, told me the provider claimed they absolutely do offer other crown options and that I "voluntarily" chose the more expensive one despite being provided other options. That is the complete opposite of what I was told before treatment. Because it became my word against the front desk staff's, UHC said there was nothing more they could do. As you can imagine I am furious. The following day, my husband took our kids in and was told a filling would cost $150. Knowing what had happened with my treatment, he questioned the charge. The same front desk employee told him it was not an upgraded service and was simply the only type of filling they offer. This was the EXACT SAME explanation I was given regarding the crowns so we did NOT proceed with treatment. Luckily we have left the state and live somewhere where more providers take our insurance so we are no longer forced to go here. What was even sadder was seeing them set up a similar payment plan for an elderly woman because her "HMO didn't cover much." I know I am not the only person they are doing this to. They will surely respond to this asking me to call their office which I obviously wont do. I want no other communications with this office unless its in writing with regional.

I have religiously gone to the dentist since my 20's, so I desperately needed a cleaning. I went to gentle dental when I had insurance (last year mind you) and they were not thorough at all (I'll review them on their business). I was greeted the moment I walked into this office, everyone from reception, to dental assistant to dentist was incredibly kind, thorough, patient and easy going. I wish I had found this place when I had insurance, the care they provide is exactly what you would hope for.

Warning*** Went in for a cleaning. They then ended up making…read moreme do a deep cleaning saying if I didn't do this then they'd refuse to do any form of cleaning. Signed up for this 3 day process. The second day I go in and the dental hygienist looks at my teeth completely complexed why we are doing a deep cleaning saying you have very minimal tartar. She does the cleaning and my once bill for $106 turns in to $200+. And then my second bill for $34.10 turns into $140-160. Because someone forgot to quote something. But no one informed me of any of it. Had me sign a paper like if I'm checking in. Turns out they upd the bill. The worst fn part of this is they chipped my fn tooth in the front while doing this unnecessary deep cleaning!!! Then go "we will create you a plan to fix it it'll be easy" I turn to the dentist and say "you all chipped my tooth during the cleaning! Why would I pay for that??" Then it turns from a quick fix to "oh well it would be hard to fix and it probably wouldn't stay if you try to bite into something". And that they can't do anything without management approvals. I felt sorry for the front staff personal that had to deal with this while the ones responsible head behind a door leaving her to handle this. I'm sorry for that but this is absolutely ridiculous .

As a first time patient, Dr. Recore did not attempt to "upsell" me, and created a great plan for me to love my smile (and within a budget I did not share with her)! During my appointment, I didn't feel a thing (yes I used the gas) and I am a very sensitive baby when it comes to my mouth!! I put in my headphones and listened to my music and went off into my own world and they did their thing! Dr. Bardeloza Did my root canal and this was the best root canal experience I've had (and I've had a lot of root canals from various dentists). I'm leaving this review the day after and I don't feel any discomfort!! I can't even tell I had any work done!!! Christie did my temp crowns for me on my front top teeth (I have been so conscious of those teeth ) and she did BEAUTIFUL work (she tells me the permanent crowns are gonna look even better!!!) my father was a longtime patient of the previous owner and 25 years ago, My son went in after breaking his top front tooth. They were able to build his front tooth back up and he still has it to this day (not once has it broken off!). Going in as a first time patient to new ownership gave me nerves, but they settled them immediately (it's such a nice and comfortable environment with the staff, everyone is really kind). I am 50 years old and for the first time in my life, I am excited to start seeing a dentist to fix everything needing to be fixed and actually doing preventive care! I know this is a really long review, but this place is worth it and I'm hoping it helps someone who is really-really nervous about going to the dentist (like I was).

I got to look over all the x-rays and they showed me everything that was wrong and walked me through all the steps of what could be done. nothing was ever pushy they made me, and my family feel right at home it was never here is your appt and get out.

Unfortunately today I had a rude wake up call when my banker and I discovered that the had been fraudulently charged for $349 three times, twice on the same date. When showing my bank statement to the secretary, she only said "hmm, that's interesting.". I asked her to please look into this as I cannot afford a $1000 loss, and she told me that yes, the mistake was due to their billing software but no, she didn't think I would get any money back. Design Dentistry is not an honest practice and so unapologetic about causing such stressful, fraudulent business.
