Super D duper across the board!. All of the coffees, teas and chai's flavors are top notch.

I love the environment of brewed awakenings. I have been coming here for years. The coffee is brewed in the bean and so yummmmy. They have many flavors to choose from. They have a wide variety of food items from acai bowls to gourmet toasts. At other locations in the state they have open bars as well.. the staff members are pleasant.. well most of them. Sometimes we have our days, so i understand if they have an attitude. I highly recommend brewed, it is one of go to spots. :)

    Burnt and with meat

I ordered an awakening egg sandwich on an everything bagel and no bacon. The sandwhich came sloppily put together with ham, a sausage patty and bacon, and the bagel was so burnt that there is no way it could have gone unnoticed, it was deliberate carelessness. The receipt was correct, food was prepared incorrectly and burnt, completely inedible. Im disappointed, at the service and question the care of the cooks.

The food and coffee here are very good, but I'm not gonna lie there are some days where the coffee isn't great. But that happens at most of the coffee shops when you have teens running the place. This particular location doesn't have as much traffic so it can be the better if the two in Johnston to kick back and relax in. The one thing they need to work on is efficiency ESPECIALLY the drive thru. Do not. I repeat do not go through their drive thru if you are pressed for time. They take FOREVER. Always. This morning I had only one car ahead of me and still took me 7 minutes to get through and get my order. God forbid you have 3 plus cars ahead of you get comfy you'll be in the line 1/2 hour.

    The Brewed Wrap Egg Sandwich

I asked for the brewed wrap without onions and they made me an egg and tomato wrap. They took out the ham that was supposed to be made with it. I ordered a strawberry-banana, but they were also out of bananas and asked if I wanted to substitute it with anything else so I asked for a strawberry-mango. Since it's made with artificial flavoring, it's so sweet that it makes you feel sick after a few sips. I definitely don't recommend the smoothie. They were busy which is understandable if they made a mistake, but the food was also very bland and not that great.

You'll die of old age before your online order is ready. They set a low bar at an estimated 30 min and still miss it by a mile - every time.

I ordered the Peppermint Mocha Chai and it was delicious and arrived with a cute mini candy cane on top (not pictured because I ate it before remembering to take a photo). It was definitely on the sweeter side, which I liked, but might not be for everyone. The cashier was super sweet and friendly and drinks arrived quickly. Throughout the morning there was a steady stream of customers, but I didn't notice anyone waiting too long. It wasn't the quietest environment for working since there is music playing all day, but I didn't have meetings so noise wasn't a problem. After working for a while, I decided to get lunch as well. I love the avocado toast here because it's always flavorful and reasonably priced at $6 for 2 slices. It did have a decent amount of red pepper flakes - not an issue for me but something to be aware of for anyone who doesn't like spice. This also arrived quickly and was on a cute colorful plate.

Luckily, they do have a large space with lots of tables and some couches so finding a seat wasn't a problem. Their menu includes drinks and food (breakfast and lunch). My friend and I shared the BOM sandwich which comes on a Portuguese BOLO with gruyere cheese, roasted red peppers, onion, spinach, BOM sauce, chorizo, and fried egg. For our drinks I had a cinnamon crunch iced coffee with whole milk and coconut cold foam and my friend had one of the coff-tails. I took in all the artwork around the walls while I waited for our order to come out. They brought the sandwich out to us, but I went up to the counter to get the drinks. The sandwich was incredibly good, especially the BOM sauce that was a little spicy. The sausage was thick and well cooked, and the veggies tasted fresh. The bread was very good too but I wish it was slightly toasted (next time). My drink was good. It was not sweet at all, which the cashier did prepare me for, but it still tasted good to me. The milk and coconut cold foam made it very creamy and the coconut flavor was very present throughout. We paid around $20 for the sandwich and two drinks which is fair. They have a drive thru window on the left side of the building, with the line wrapping around the back of the building, with plenty of parking in the front and back for dining in.

The inside is small with only a few tables and some counter seating, but I really like the design choices they made. The plants mounted to the wall and natural light are nice. The baristas are super friendly as well. For food and drinks, I ordered the iced black sesame hojicha latte and I added ube cold foam, and the sausage egg and cheese biscuit breakfast sandwich. I really enjoy the drinks here. The hojicha latte was quite tasty, not too sweet, and the nuttiness of the sesame came through. I have also ordered a hot latte on my first visit, which enjoyed a lot. The milk was steamed nicely and the espresso was smooth. Something to note, is that there are no ceramic mugs here, which is a bummer. The big thing for me that was a disappointment was the breakfast sandwich. It really felt and tasted like a frozen sandwich that was popped in the microwave. The biscuit was soft and limp, the sausage was that processed patty, and the egg was a premade flat circle. Overall, I think the drinks and lattes are really good and I would totally stop in for a pick me up any time, but definitely skip the food.
