I dined in to get the most out of my experience and was impressed. Plenty of food options and parking. There's a big lot in back. The doors aren't marked and they're mirror tinted so ya can't tell if they're open but try. First things first, a little parking PSA for first-timers: do not pull into the right side entrance where it says drive-through if you're planning to sit in. I made this mistake and had to sneak through the do not enter signs they have in their parking lot. To enter the parking lot the right way, turn down Hobson St instead for access to their parking lot, which is behind the building. Street parking on Broadway is also an option. The spaces in the back lot are tight, so if you're rolling up in a pickup truck, good luck. Parking drama aside, Society Coffee Bar is a great little spot. The interior is cozy and well thought out, with bar seats, booths, and tables giving you plenty of options depending on your vibe. I'm not a fancy latte guy; I don't do the flavored syrups and all that. That said, they have a nice selection if that's your thing. I ordered a nitro cold brew and it was smooth and almost creamy the way a good nitro should be, with a bright, clean flavor. My one small gripe is that I couldn't find any mention of what coffee they actually use. I'd love to know the roaster behind the cup. For food, I had the Turkey Pesto Bacon sandwich on sourdough; it was the perfect lunch. Who doesn't love sourdough? Everything in it was balanced just right with nothing overpowering anything else. I really wanted to like Society Coffee Bar since it's right on my commute, but it ended up being disappointing. I ordered the salted maple latte and it was way too sweet, not salty at all, and packed with ice so there wasn't much actual coffee. Between that and a bagel, I paid around $12--and then got charged extra for oat milk and another $1 for cream cheese, which they handed to me on the side in a separate container... in the drive-thru. I couldn't even eat my bagel because I was driving and didn't have a break for hours, which kind of defeated the purpose. On top of that, the drive-thru took almost 10 minutes and I was only the third car. For the price, the wait, and the quality, it just didn't feel worth it. I was genuinely excited to have this as a go-to stop before work, but it missed the mark for me and I'll probably stick to other options. read more

Great new addition to EP! Only came for coffee and food but they turn into a cocktail bar at night! Parking lot behind the building is easy to get to and there is also street parking. The best part is having a drive through! The line moved very quickly and it was busy but not overwhelming. Both drinks came out super fast. The food took a bit longer, but worth the wait! The food prices were SUPER reasonable. We each paid under $15 for food AND drink, which is fairly inexpensive when compared to some places in providence. The staff were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable even though this is their first week open! I expect this place to get super popular and busy! I checked out Society for the first time today. The parking lot is very small so plan accordingly. It's really cute inside and I can see how it would be a fun bar to go to. As of coffee shop though, it's pretty mediocre. The coffees are expensive and very sweet. I think that is the vibe they are going for. They charge extra for non dairy milk too. I just got a small latte to try, and it was fine but nothing that makes me want to go back. They get their pastries from Seven Stars. I was hoping to get food or a snack but there was nothing on the food menu I could even eat. I'd go for a drink but not for coffee. read more

I've visited Society three times now - twice for the drive-thru, and once for their cocktail lounge! I think the specialty coffees, especially the strawberry shortcake latte, are pretty good - but the breakfast sandwich I tried was just okay. I love how the baristas in the drive thru are always so friendly. The cocktail lounge was a cool vibe - they have a good selection of cocktails and play nice music. Everything I love about a coffee shop, this place has. Variety of specialty coffee flavors, tasty breakfast sandwiches, friendly staff, and comfortable and spacious seating. I ordered the strawberry shortcake latte and it was a delicious dessert in a cup. The breakfast sandwich I ordered had sausage, bacon, egg and cheese with maple syrup on a bolo, forgot the name of it but it was incredible. I'm so glad to see society continuing to grow their brand. The OG store is still my favorite because it's usually quieter, but I'm always so pleased to see new locations filled with people who enjoy their food, drinks, staff and ambiance. Like their other locations, this newly opened shop is gorgeous! It's in an old bank, so there's a drive-through as well as a special seating area in the old vault. The decor is modern and upscale. The menu is relatively small, but gives a nice selection of lunch and breakfast options. I enjoyed a lavender latte and a breakfast sandwich of egg, cheese, and chouriço on a Portuguese roll. Super delicious! It was pressed, nice and crispy. The only thing that would make the sandwich better, would be crisping up the chouriço patty as well. Service was super friendly and inviting. This is such a cute place! The staff was sweet, and the service was quick. As someone who get gets a lot of work done at coffee shops, I greatly appreciate it that all the seating options were extremely comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was strong. This place recently opened in my hood. Needless to say it's been almost impossible to get service during peak hours due to the buzz. Very busy. I have been a few times late in the day. The coffee selections are very good and so far love it! Yet to try some food but it's on the agenda. Society Coffee is an interesting place. The spot looks & feels like a hotel lobby coffee shop to me being very modern. The turkey pesto bacon sandwich & nitro cold brew were both pretty solid. East Providence doesn't have a lot of coffee shops so it's a welcome addition to the area. The bad, the place is incredibly busy so expect a wait for complex drinks & food, the parking lot is decently big but small for the amount of seats making it tight to get in & out. This new coffee shop reminds me more of a cocktail bar than a coffee shop. Inside is a bit dark and loud but very trendy. The seats are comfortable though very close together. They serve alcohol (I'm not sure th hours) and I can definitely see this being a good cocktail bar; as for a coffee shop, meh. Loud music and a dark sexy atmosphere wasn't really the vibe I was going for at 10am. It's also definitely not a place to come with your laptop to work, it's more for maybe meeting clients or a quick get together with coworkers. The coffee itself is for people who like flavored lattes. It looks like they use torani syrups. Tons of flavors and combos. Not really a place if you're someone who likes just a plain roast or an espresso connoisseur. I got a Quinny and it's premade but really good. I'm a dunkalatte fan this is exactly what that is. A nice cup of melted coffee icecream flavor. I love coffee milk lattes, like a true RIer so I was happy with it. It's made with cold brew instead of espresso. The drive thru/parking is super confusing. You actually need to drive past the shop and go down the dead end street to get to street parking. If you go into what looks like the main entrance you'll get trapped in a drive thru line and you can't back up because someone else will block you in. What I did like about it inside, is that you can't see the drive thru or hear it. It's in the back completely separate so if you are hanging out inside, you don't need to hear the hustle and bustle of a busy drive thru. Overall it's a fine place to get a sugary latte through the drive thru. Cheaper than Dunkin down the street actually and better quality. Again, really cool vibe for a bar. The workers were nice, but you can definitely tell it's probably owned by some llc who isn't really focused on coffee quality. read more
