Whoa, what an unexpected and fun discovery. There's something about stumbling upon a brewery in the midst of an industrial warehouse area in Oakland Park. It's like finding an oasis where the usual vibe of warehouses and business units is hopefully replaced with the warmth of good drinks and good company. As we parked in front, my nostrils were immediately alerted to the scent of sizzling cheesesteaks from Willie's Phillies grill at the corner, which is the main food source at Brewlihan Mead. Totally adds that perfect touch of casual, delicious street food to make the whole experience even better. The front of the building displayed chemistry designs as it's decor. The scene at the bar was a perfect mix of laid back vibes and local camaraderie. The bartender poured me a 12 oz 5.3% abv Strawberry Marshmallow Serum--what a wild, unexpected ride for my taste buds! The fact that it reminded me of a holiday wine called Manischewitz with a twist of marshmallow adds such a quirky layer to it. It's not something you'd normally expect to find at a brewery or winery, right? Definitely the kind of drink that stands out and leaves a lasting impression, as did the Green Apple Soda Serum which brought a happy tear to my left eye. And that famous 1 ounce Mead, "Shhhh-Batch 2" was strong at 14% ABV, but something about that deep, vanilla forward flavor that sits at the back of your throat... kind of like an acquired taste, I'm guessing. Although the Mead was interesting, I immediately craved the Serum again. Mead can be a bit intense for some I assume, especially when it's that strong and peculiar tasting, but it gave me a whole new appreciation for the art of fermentation with honey as the primary sugar source. The space itself provided a subtle industrial charm with a view of the steel vats. Nothing quite like seeing the heart of the brewing process right in front of you. The handcrafted canned and bottled take-home drinks were tempting too, and offered a great variety. The $8.00 to $55.00 price spectrum seemed like they've got something for everyone, whether you're into a casual single can of Serum or a high-end bottle of Mead. Also, props to them for the clean gender-neutral bathroom and the chemistry wall design! It's those little touches that can make a place feel both welcoming and thoughtfully designed. The atmosphere really seems to be a mix of quirky, casual, and well-thought-out. A fun spot to hang out and explore some unique consumables. I would definitely return to try a different Serum blend with a Philly cheesesteak, but the Mead, although intriguing, it's not my cup of tea.

We caught this brewery on the right day since they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for limited hours. Interesting spot in an Oakland Park warehouse district. There were about fifteen people inside with a few tables and a good sized bar. I ordered a variety of the home brewed Serum and one mead to try. The Serums were all very good but the mead was not my thing and maybe it's an acquired taste. No food kitchen inside but they have a Philly Cheesesteak grill outside for customers.

This place is awesome! The vibes, the drinks, the people, all immaculate! Family operated with a former educator at the helm, the vibe inside was so warm and friendly. They have a variety of meads that are all delicious, including some fun flavors like dragon fruit. After trying one or two I went with their classic "the buzz". Super high quality product and priced fairly considering. They also had a nice little food pop up outside when we were there on a weekend. I don't know where else you can find a meadery in South Florida and these people are so lovely. Do yourself a favor and swing by!

Great experience trying their serums and meads. Found this great drinking establishment when Pin Pan Pollo was there and the owner John couldn't have been nicer. Spoke to us about their creation and how the different options on the menu. Located in Oakland park, it has a relaxed ambiance with lots of greenery, wood barrels and steel fermenters decorating the interior. Overall a nice time and will definitely return to try more of their serums.

We had been wanting to check out the new Meadery in Oakland park since they opened in March and finally had the opportunity to this weekend. We came on a very rainy Sunday afternoon, so to no surprise to us, we were the one only customers in the place. The same is great! There is ample parking around the building, quite a few stools for bar seating, and plenty of standing room. The staff were all great, everyone said hello when we walked in and offered suggestions. The bartender was very sweet and attentive. If you have never tried mead before, be aware that it is very sweet compared to beers or wine. Mead is made by fermenting honey usually along side some other flavors. Brewlihan offers an array of different meads and ciders. Looking at the menu you may be shocked by some of the prices for very small pours but mead packs a punch! Some of their options are more than 10% alcohol! We opted to both get a flight so we could share and taste as many of their "serums" (lower alcohol, lightly carbonated) as possible! The serums we tried were great, some very fruit forward, while others were a little dryer and even a bit tart. Overall it was a lovely experience and if you're in the mood to try some thing new, add this to your list! If you don't like sweet beverages, this may not be your favorite place, but they did have a few guest taps with local beers as well!

Brewlihan is a new meadery in the Oakland Park area. They've only been open for 6 weeks so the inside is shiny and new! If you've never had mead before, their menu is split into three sections, which our bartender did a great job explaining. My friends and I each chose our own flight, allowing us to try a little of everything. Their serums are lighter ABV (6-7%), carbonated, and approachable. My favorite was the standard honey, but my friends loved "spa day", a cucumber lime mead. Some of the other flavors of serums we tried included: champagne, chai tea, passionfruit mango, peanut butter and jelly. For traditional mead (higher ABV), we liked the vanilla diatomic, so rich! The final section of the menu is 4 guest taps from local breweries for guests who don't want to explore mead and would rather stick to traditional beer. Brewlihan has cans to go of some of their brews, and we'll definitely be back to grab some cucumber lime for a pool or beach day. If you've never had mead, give this place a try!

Awesome local place to come and try! The owners are super friendly and their drinks just taste amazing. Go for the flight! We sampled 12 and they all tasted great. Chill spot for a weekend out with friends. Would recommend 10/10, will definitely be back.

Came here with some friends just to fry out this place Service as soon as we walked through they welcomed us. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Now let's talk about the flight. I had the peach pineapple which was delicious. The flavors was amazing in the flight The cucumber lime was so refreshing the watermelon task like straight candy jolly rancher candy the Diatomoc was sweet like wine. This was a great experience so glad I came to try them out will definitely comeback a plus is there is a lady that sells tacos which are the best please try it out. The ambiance is so casual beer tap atmosphere.

This place has the perfect blend of locals only vibes with enough southern friendliness to be treated like you're a regular. The bartender was super friendly, knowledgeable, and works to make sure you get something you like. We tried out the "one of everything" flight to check out a bunch of their flavors and boy did we take a good amount home! One of my favorites was definitely the strawberry watermelon and their cantaloupe ginger. Their full bodied meads were also good (and strong!) but you'd never guess how strong they were with their taste! Also took home a pre-canned blueberry cobbler and cherry crème brûlée to see how they were. Had an awesome night there and can't wait to go back!

This place is incredible! If you have never been - come over! Come over now! Come over yesterday and come over tomorrow! John and Stacey are super welcoming and friendly, the vibes are 10/10 but the real hero is the mead. It is delicious, smooth and is the best thing in Florida!

    Christina F.

What a stellar experience. The service was spectacular, John was friendly and knowledgeable. The quality of the mead was great. The flavor profile of all the meads and cider I tried was incredible. I ordered a flight to try a few different options. My favorite was the passion fruit guava, but I truly enjoyed each one I tried. You can also get a full flight of 12 pours for $45 to try it all. They have a rotation of food trucks that come out, follow on Instagram to see the lineup. It's definitely a local vibe and a relaxing atmosphere to just hang out. I'd definitely add this spot to your list!

First time trying mead! Loved all the variety of flavors and how incredible they all tasted. If you're a mead fan this is the spot and if you're new to it like us, stop in to try it for the experience! My favorites were: - Mango Habanero was delish, not too spicy at all - Papaya was fantastic (normally hate papaya) but it was 10/10

    Cheyenne R.

The most unique flavors of beer that I have ever tried! I stopped by once I knew Jenny with the pot would be there and I am so happy because my guest and I had a great time. They also played music which amplified our experience and the service was great. My favorite beer was the passionfruit mango! It's so good and definitely not like your typical beer. I highly recommend checking them out.
