Fantastic place, fantastic owner, fantastic Mead!!!…read more I can't speak highly enough about this very cool place. They make all their own mead and it is all delicious. They owner was out bartender and he was a wealth of information. He was so helpful and friendly helping us make our choices. We tried 12 different flavors and even took a bottle home with us. Summer are sweeter than others, but all are wonderfully designed and brewed. I will definitely be back.

As a fan of fruity alcoholic beverages I have always been curious about Brewlihan Mead. I only…read morepreviously had mead at the Renaissance Fair. I finally got the chance to check them out one afternoon when I was in the area. Brewlihan Mead is a 1,700-square-foot mead house and tasting room owned by John and Stacey Hoolihan. John had a background in science education and started out brewing as a hobby. What turned into a passion became a business. Brewlihan Mead is the first commercial meadery in Broward and Palm Beach counties. Mead, sometimes called honey wine is an alcoholic beverage made from three ingredients: fermented honey, water and yeast. It is the first alcoholic beverage consumed by mankind and is believed to predate wine by nearly three thousand years. Since the taste of honey can vary by region, mead can have a diverse and complex flavor profile. To make the mead at Brewlihan, the water, yeast and honey is placed in fermentation tanks with fruit and then aged in oak barrels for 2 to 5 months. You can take your mead to go in cans or they have a nice bar inside the tap room where you can enjoy your drink. I took my mead home and while I enjoyed all of it, my favorite was Winter in So Fla which truly evoked the tropical feel of a winter in Florida. Mead is a great alone or as a pairing to a meal. If you are a mead enthusiast they have memberships for $300 with a host of benefits listed on their website. Whether a casual or refined drinker of mead, you are sure to find something unique and delicious here. John and Stacy are so warm and friendly and this is the kind of science I really enjoy.

He was attentive and offered recommendations for wine. We thoroughly enjoyed a Sauvignon Blanc and the Pinot Noir. For dinner one of us selected an appetizer special of a ciopinno with a variety of shellfish. Guilio added pasta and quite honestly the portion was huge! We had leftovers! It was wonderful. The fish was fabulous and the broth tasty. We also ordered the veal saltimbocca. It was a nice size piece of meat. I just wish they gave me more potatoes and veggies. They were cooked perfectly and the potatoes had a nice crispiness to them. The other members of our party ordered the salmon and pasta dish. We were surprised the salmon wasn't served as a filet but as pieces. It was enjoyed, however. And our other friend had the pasta carbonara which was very cheesy and enjoyed! We couldn't pass up dessert.. the copa romina and mango pie. Both were scrumptious!! The crust of the our was fabulous and the combination of custard, gelato and berries in the other were perfect. A wonderful experience overall!

I started with the beet salad which included arugula and potato. It was fantastic and very filling. I recommend it. I ordered the pasta primavera. I asked if I could substitute the butter cream sauce for his red wine reduction pasta sauce. At first, Salvo was a little put off, but he conceded and brought me a sample of the red sauce to make sure that is what I wanted. It was and the dish turned out delicious despite his doubt at first. He said he might add this on the menu moving forward. My friends loved their dishes too. One comment was that the veal could be seasoned more. But the salmon and pasta bolognese got rave reviews. The table bread was truly delicious. Definitely try the bread. We asked for more. The place is rather loud inside. If you are noise sensitive I suggest sitting on the outside patio. Overall, a great addition to Wilton Drive.

A storefront restaurant specializing in Sicilian cuisine. My wife ordered the Eggplant Polpette , Sicilian style vegetarian polpette, eggplant, egg, bread pecorino, parmigiano, and caciocavallo cheese. It was an appetizer priced at $ 24. She thought it was just ok. They are known for homemade pasta so I tried the Tagliolini alla Scoglio, Homemade Tagliolini with Mussels, clams, shrimp, calamari, parsley, splash of white wine, garlic and e.v.o. oil. This the white sauce version but I opted for the red sauce version. It was very good but priced at $45.

It was delicious and I am not a fish eater but I may have to reevaluate my cuisine preference at this restaurant. We stated with carbonata which is a Sicilian staple and it is prepared as good as any I have had in Italy. The wine selection is extensive and you should try a Sicilian wine which Luca suggests which I believe you will thoroughly enjoy. Finish your meal with a cappuccino and the warm cheesecake and you will go home completely satisfied and anxious to return. This is a small quaint restaurant with inside and outside dining. I suggest you make reservations.

The wine tasting experience was $25 and there is a courtesy purchase of 1 bottle. But the wines were so amazing, we ended up buying way more.
